Right whinger signs for Newcastle!!!!!
Optimistic Nut replied to Ketsbaia's Mobile's topic in Newcastle Forum
I prefer Asprilla's Foreskin & Souey's P45. -
Angel of the North.
-
Wonder if the rest of the season tickets will sell now.
-
And how many pies & pints we sell at half-time.
-
MacBeth's website will be interesting reading in the next few weeks I'm sure...
-
Oh dear.
-
Been to Stone Love 3 times since it's moved. Very impressed.
-
SSN - "It has been agreed that Michael Owen will miss Liverpool, sorry, England training today".
-
£2m - Cort £1.5m - Solano £1.7m - Lua-Lua £750k - Speed £13.4m - Woodgate £400k - Bernard £2m - Hughes £2m - O'Brien £5m - Bellamy £1m - Ambrose Between £30-35m.
-
It was a lucky guess in terms of the name. But my theory was spot on. If we'd not signed Emre, Parker & Luque, I don't think Owen would have even considered us.
-
Unless they've found an extra £10m from somewhere I don't see how! (perhaps we should sign Owen, then just to rub it in, offer £10m for Cisse in the morning to partner him)
-
And to think we were all depressed 3 weeks ago when Shepherd wouldn't pay an extra couple of million to sign Boa Morte & Anelka. Well played that man.
-
£6m - Bellamy £9.5m - Robert £5m - Jenas £8.5m - Viana £5m - Bramble £9m - Woodgate £1.5m - Ambrose £4m - Butt £5m - Milner £2m - Carr £8m - Boumsong £1.5m - Babayaro £2m - Faye £3.6m - Emre £6m - Parker £9.5m - Luque £16m - Owen £100m spent in 4 years!!! He can't be accused of not flashing the cheque book.

Hows your bid for a World cup place Shola ?
Optimistic Nut replied to Jimbo's topic in Newcastle Forum
It's actually probably increased his chances! Shearer will not play 40 games this season, we can't play 4-5-1 with Owen in the side, so Shola will get a few chances to partner Owen this year. If he gets a dozen goals or so, he might have a chance. Well if we can sign Owen, I'm sure Shola can reach 10 goals in a season!!! -
Ah well. Another one won't do us any harm will it?!
-
Paul McCartney, Cilla Black, Jennifer Ellison, John Lennon, Phil Thompson, City of bloody Culture 2008, Mike Myers, Red Rum, Brookside, RA Softlad... CAN YOU HEAR ME R A SOFTLAD?! Your boys just took one helluva beating!!!!
-
IMO, this proves last year's Rooney bid was no PR stunt. It's pretty obvious this is just that money, but thankfully Man U weren't on the scene this time!
-
Indeed, on the phone to Alan Shearer last night, I can exclusively reveal....
-
Back in May, I said we'd sign Owen, and 3 or 4 well-known internationals which got mocked. My theory was we'd not sign one by himself, but the others would see the other players we're bringing in, and want to be a part of that. And I was right.
-
This is unreal. Speechless.

*OWEN ARRIVES IN NEWCASTLE FOR TALKS**
Optimistic Nut replied to Optimistic Nut's topic in Newcastle Forum
If we do get him, I think it will prove the Rooney thing last summer wasn't a PR stunt. It's obviously the same money, just this time, there's no Man U in the way. -
Was top after 26 games with Norwich, before Fulham, 17th in the Premiership approached me. I accepted. I managed to take them to 12th. Start of the summer I sold Malbranque to Liverpool for £12m, and brought in Fabrice Fernandes (£2m), Luis Prieto (£350k), Schlicke (2.1m), Kapo (£3.1m), and Stam, Agathe, Vayrynen, Ball, Reinhardt & Lucarelli on Bosmans, while Lupoli came on Loan from Arsenal. Have played 16 games, and I'm going well in 7th, with Lucarelli scoring 12 in 16.

(to the tune of The Smith's "Frankly, Mr Shankly") Goodness, Mr Souness this position you've held, It destroys my day, and it corrodes my soul Want you to leave, won't be missed by me, You are the worst boss, in Newcastle's history. Goodness, Mr Souness, you're a sickening wreck, You've got the dreaded vote of confidence, breathing down your neck. You must leave fast, you understand me Want you to go now, before this year's history. Souness. Fame, fame fatal fame, It can play hidious tricks on your brain But still you'd rather be famous, Than keep Robert, or Bellamy, Anyday, anyday, anyday The Geordies would feel more fulfilled, If the manager was, bloody Arthur Scargill. We want a manager who we can love, Not some buffoon who we're all sick and ashamed of Goodness, Mr Souness this position you've held, It destroys my day, and it corrodes my soul. Oh, I didn't realise, you're a master tactician I didn't realise you were such a bloody awful tactician, Souness. Goodness, Mr Souness since you ask, You speak your post-match interviews out of your arse I do not mean to be so rude Still, I must speak frankly, Mr Souness. Oh, give us your money!
-
Let's get this straight - you are saying if we lose any of our next 5 matches Souness should be out? If so, you are basically saying you want rid of Souness now! 22172[/snapback] He should be capable of 13-15 points from Fulham, Blackburn, Man City, Portsmouth & Wigan. If he can't manage that, or if he falls behind schedule (ie, 2 draws in 2 games), he should be sacked, simple as that. However, if he goes on to win 4 and get a draw from one of those leading into the derby, how can he be sacked?
