Karma Chameleon.

Nobby, Nobby, Nobby, Nobby, Nolberto Solano. He comes and goes, he comes and goes.
-
Erm no, SBR categorically says in his book he binned Solano basically because he thought he was past it and resented his trips to Peru. He also has a really sly dig about his committment to Villa later on in the book, and imo makes himself sound like a spiteful idiot in the process. As you can tell, I am still far from happy with Robson's actions in the affair, and you know, ultimately it probably cost him his job. 26290 That's what I mean. I can remember the following day that "Solano wasn't pushed out, he wanted to leave". (Bobby's words) Shows he was talking sh*te.

Haway Dan, we've improved the first 11 a lot over the summer, but to say it's as good as anyone's in the Premiership isn't right. We've always been able to beat anyone on our day, but I can't agree that our first 11 is as good as Chelsea's. Not at all. 26327 man for man, maybe not in the defence. and obviously we haven't got anywhere near their strength in depth. i still expect us to challenge for a top 4 place with that starting eleven. souness can ask for no more from his chairman. it's time for him to prove his doubters wrong with results. we should go to places like stamford bridge now confident that we can give them as good a game as anyone in the premierhsip. 26342 I worry about both our full backs, but if we can sort them out on the cheap(ish) in January, then we have a very good first team. I think we should be challenging for a European spot this season - hopefully the "guaranteed for UEFA and on the outskirts but still in with a chance of CL" spot. I still think we'll be a mile behind whoever wins the title. 26345 I would say, taking a team that was 5th in the league and spending 46m quid or so on it, [over 50m if we buy the full backs you want] should demand 2nd or 3rd place, ie get much closer to the top, at least to be honest. None of this "we might still be 5th......" 26375 But when we were 5th, we were still miles behind Arsenal & Man U. Chelsea are uncatchable, but I agree we should be pushing Liverpool a lot closer.

If his nose starts running, he can leave.
-
If we take it Liverpool will be the big rival for 4th. Given-------Reina Carr--------Finnan Babayaro---Riise Boumsong--Carragher Taylor-------Hyypia Solano------Garcia Luque-------Zenden Emre--------Alonso Parker-------Gerrard Owen--------Cisse Shearer-----Morientes Harper-------Dudek Bramble-----Whitbread Moore--------Josemi Elliott---------Warnock Bowyer------Hamann Dyer---------Kewell N'Zogbia----Sissoko Ameobi-----Crouch Chopra------Pongolle I wouldn't say we were a million miles behind them in terms of players.
-
I agree with Ginola & Ferdinand (although he was just Cole's replacement). But Barton was no better than Hottiger & Watson.
-
Can you honestly say Barton, Ferdinand & Ginola was a better trio of buys than Luque, Owen & Solano?
-
I was half expecting that yesterday. Just below the "WELCOME MICHAEL", some bloke to quickly run on with a felt-tip pen and right (and welcome home Nobby).
-
But if we were to believe SBR remember, it was Solano who wanted to leave. Shows that was a load of crap.
-
Yep. Never thought that would happen in a million years. The pair deserve credit for the players brought in, now he'll be judged with what happens on the pitch.
-
And to think 3 weeks ago we were all pissed off at the chairman for not stumping up the extra couple of million to sign Boa Morte & Anelka.
-
The good thing about the Bernard idea is, we wouldn't have to rush a deal together tonight. He could sign anytime as he's without a club.
-
Shepherd' already reeled off the "I said I loved my wife this morning", what odds he repeats the "You should only say good of people when they're gone...he's gone, good," line?
-
January-February 2003 when he was on fire, scoring goals, and led to him winning Young Player of the Year.
-
I can't remember. I know Dyer was Austin Powers & Cort was Batman.
-
Can anyone post that picture of him, Cort & Dyer from the Christmas party a few years ago?
-
What happens if Babayaro gets injured tomorrow? I take it you would be happy with Taylor or Elliot filling in for a few weeks? 25096 Then we could sign Bernard next Thursday after weighing up the options.
-
No need to rush for a left-back. If needed (or wanted), we could sign Bernard anytime. Perhaps a trial with a view to a contract.
-
I still think we'll see Solano. Was the Sky interview where he was asked about him done before or after the Owen unveiling?
-
They'll have been gutted watching the interview today then when it was confirmed there was no get-out clause as well.
-
What's half of free?

Boro sign rochembach, lovenkrads, xavier

I'm surprised Sunderland didn't go in for David Connolly. He's just signed for Wigan for £2m. -
AS & Marca seemed spot-on with the whole Luque & Owen affairs, so I think that was probablt true.
