  1. I don't. I love the Premier League, man. I watch every Newcastle game, every week, without fail. I was born there, man. But I watch a fuckin' shit load of football, everywhere, because I have access to it! Look, if you think Euro teams do well away from their own continent, then good for you, fairy floss. In reality, they don't. The only domestic league that I know who are changing their ways, and changing their kick-off times is Spain. Why? Because the Asian market is number one. As for the Euro's... noone cares man. I'm sorry to say that to you. But hey, I'll be watching!
  2. The first time a country not from Europe, South America or Africa aren't in a World Cup Final, football will be fuckin waterpolo because of 1,000 years of global warming. I hate getting arrogant about them, but there's little or no point NZ, Aus or the Asian countries existing in football. It's like the British in tennis, there's absolutely no point in us playing, because we're so fucking wank. Yes, OK, calm down. No need to get red-faced, it's just only morning tea right now for you there isn't it? Too early to get angry. Seriously though, man, don't try and relate yourself to cultured countries like Spain or France tbf. Doing so is embarrassing. Nothing compares.
  3. Because the USA and Mexico would also be in the way which therefore wouldn't guarantee England the safe passage that you envisage here. But it does beg the question; are the current borders separating the confederations sufficient? Is Uzbekistan who are a former Soviet satellite state really Asian? Is Oceania a worthy confederation or should they be integrated into the rest of Asia like Australia has done? We can't have islander nations fighting over scraps, surely? American Samoa vs. Cook Island doesn't have any appeal does it? Australia are there to improve their own standards in football against technically superior teams and conversely we are there to improve the standards in Asian football. We provide a team who like to get physical with the opposition and it helps in the opponent's overall development that they are forced to find tactics to overcome this. And vice versa. To have competition domestically and internationally which didn't happen in Oceania has been the main attraction and will be most beneficial. But apart from that Australia's largest trading partners are all Asian, we look towards there and it is this region which keeps us afloat despite weak government. The links are stronger than you think. We are a part of the Pacific so I consider Australia a part of Asia. I think because Asian, CONCACAF and Oceanic football is so desperate, they should all be grouped in together. So perhaps 20 European teams, 5 South American, 5 African and four from Asia, Oceania and CONCACAF, then you wouldn't get the likes of Australia, New Zealand, Saudi, North Korea, Iran, Costa Rica and Jamaica making a mockery of it. There's too many shit countries in the World Cup, which is why the European Championships are always of a better quality. Nah, pal. I think when the WC is hosted by a country that is not from the continent of Europe, excluding Russia, Europe should be restricted to 5 participant teams, 6 at the most. Otherwise they waste everyone's time as history shows. Time is money and money is Asia these days, man. What purpose will England flying a team to Brazil be for example? No one cares. Do you?

  5. My fear is that 20/20 cricket will kill off proper Test Match cricket - the thinking man's game. The signs are there already in Australia. Money talks, bullshit walks. What...... like Australia's most feared 20/20 batsman (Warner) fine-tuning his technique and trying to adapt his approach (re:aggression) to suit the longer form of the game. David Warner has more ability in his right pinky than Phil Hughes does in his whole body. It is unfortunate that up until now he's been pigeon-holed as a player strictly for 20/20. But I'm referring to players ignoring defensive techniques; batting with the full face of the blade, knowing how to play on the back-foot and keeping the head over the ball while keeping your head still. It is an art that is being lost in modern cricket. But why worry about that when you can slog and earn yourself a couple of mill in the IPL.
  6. Shortsighted comments again. It's only been up until recently that serious money has been injected into the game in Asia. 20 years for Japan now and a steady stream of players are going to Europe to test themselves. China has more money being invested into the domestic game now but are far off from becoming football - first-world, give it another decade or two of serious development and direction. South Korea has always been pretty solid, and until recently traditionally stronger than Japan, but forcing their kids to do national service can't be good purely from the perspective of development and education. Arab countries will never be a world player of anything on the sporting front because of cultural issues and the fact their footballers are on ridiculous salaries funded by oil money by shite-run clubs and federations. Yes, they are insular. As for Australia moving into Asia, anyone who thinks that isn't a positive is a wanker who hasn't any idea. I have not heard or read any opposition to it until I read you poor excuse of a post. But hey, at least you are consistent.
  7. He's not settled in yet nor is he used to the tempo of the league in a team playing with bad tactics for the personnel it has at its disposal. Having a cunt of a man like Terry next to him wouldn't help at all either to find his feet. All that makes him look bad. Coloccini took a while to come good if you recall. Having said all that though I'm not sure he's worth double that of Coloccinni.
  8. Did it never occur to you that I said that to see some politically correct arsehole get emotional, and what a whopper I caught. Ignorance is thinking Japan should beat England. Mate lets see how courageous you are, we'll up the bet to £1000 - straight up offer. Emotional? I'm not particularly bothered by your views fwiw. I thought that should be evident from my post. By the by, your position throughout this discussion has been consistantly racist. Did that not occur to you? The irony of this escaping you has not escaped me. Finally, if you want to talk about being 'emotional', how about you, in your fit of idiocy, confusing me with the bloke you've actually been having your little Japan v England argument with over the past 8 pages. Numpty. At worst Stevie's bi-polar, at best he's got A.D.D. In any case it's better to not make fun of those with mental health issues tbf. Why would I care what a far from interesting dullard Australian thinks about me though? Get to bed you nobhead. Your contribution to this board is ungraciously commenting on Australia losing to England in cricket and rugby. That's all anyone could define you by on here. As for the other Aussie ToonOTL pinpoint and define why anything I've said on this thread is racist you stupid cunt. If you can't do it...pipe down. Actually I've winded down tonight with a swim outside mate. Ever done that before, Stevie? Beautiful night, it's still 26 degrees out there and not a drop of wind or a cloud in the sky. I've just opened a bottle of Coopers (me third for the night) and awaiting the Man City vs. Newcastle game which I'll watch. I'm skipping the Arsenal game. I'm instead skimming through my e-mails whilst listening to a bit of Pearl Jam amongst other tracks on the i-pad and downing some pretty big Pacific Oysters - fucking delicious and briny things they are - taste like the ocean, man. Anyway a word of advice - know who the fuck is who that you're addressing on a forum, by failing to do so you end up looking like a complete fuckwit. OK? The country is running out of water though. Nah it's not , that was 5 years ago. We're OK now, man. I can at least go out with me hose and water down my driveway on any day of the week if I so wished now.

  11. Hmmm, Is that right; http://www.fishfight.net/ This is fast becoming boring because quite honestly it is too easy for me. What a shame it is that you are such a half-wit tbh. I thought you had much more to offer too...

Mate lets see how courageous you are, we'll up the bet to £1000 - straight up offer. Fuck off, me emotional? I know your game fella, I've been around here long enough to know your craic, this is all banter to me. If you want emotional have a gander at yourself in the mirror after 10 pints man. Let's stick with £300, no need to get carried away. And you better be paying up!
  13. Growing up anyone of European or South American heritage and particularly those with an accent were classed as a wog, grease or daigo. Those of Asian decent were called gooks, nips or ching-chongs.
  14. A rhetorical question. Yes they are by some. What point are you making?
  15. True. England are many steps ahead of Spain and so should those standards be maintained.
  16. He does. Look, it's not the smartest thing to say, tbh he should have kept his mouth shut, but a lot of what he says is correct.
  17. That's true though. South Americans get discriminated against as equally as blacks do in Spain. It's just that they can't be singled out so easily in games with monkey noises like the blacks do.
  18. When did China ever win the WC you silly nugget? And the last time I was over there in Japan (2007) just about every domesticated animal I saw looked to be happy enough, well at least they didn't seem like they were suffering. And there's plenty more respect going around there than in the west, having witnessed it myself. And physically inadequate? Maybe if the sport were rugby, there would be little argument about that, but not football. The few examples like Iniesta, Xavi, Villa, Alves and Messi are all testament to that. Are your other 500 odd posts as stupid as this one man? Fuck me, by failing to get your steriotypes right you've failed even before you started. Why did you even bother? Yes it was Japan, over the US in penalties. My mistake in that case. Just as sad a day football nonetheless. China will be next eventually though, such is their drive for domination in all sports, even if amounts to the regimented taking of performance enhancers. And by that i refer to the Chinese Women's Swimming team (about a decade ago) and a long-held suspicion surrounding their long-distance runners (women again). Just about the an entire teamsheet, Asian, particularly the men's teams, are physically inadequate in terms of size, when paired against a physical and well-drilled European national side. They don't have at least one or two midfield enforcers to balance the scales in the engineroom, to protect their better ball-players. And the likes of Messi & Iniesta (ie. smaller playmakers (who are likely to be targeted) are protected by hardnosed/defensive midfielders in their respective sides. Spain are alot more than just a pretty ball-playing side nowadays, they have steel about them now. Whereas at the WC in Germany, where the Socceroos on a big-stage under Guus.H were as well-drilled as most of the Europeans outfits at that tourney, physically wore them down. Did i mention domesticated animals, in relation to the Japs, you zip-eyed sympathizing tossbag. As a starter take a trip to the fishing township of Taijii, which unfortunately was spared the full brunt of the tsunami, and that's all the evidence you need, in reference to what i said earlier...... as the for Chinese, don't get me started there. The East-Asians, as far as animal & human rights go with an emphasis to the former, are a bloody on the human species.. If it wasn't for strength of the Asian economy, with Western countries always looking to protect/maintain their trade interests, real pressure would be applied to the likes of Japan and China. And the International Whaling body is as corrupt as FIFA. Chug down a cup of Saki, Kenabi. Let's make this quick; -Apology accepted, shit-for-brains, the Japs did win the Women's WC. Japan and China are two seperate, soveriegn nations mate, like England and Scotland are. Do you understand? In both cases there is a bit (or a lot) of animosity between each other. Which is why Andy Murray is British when he's winning and Scottish when he's losing. - Spain are 'steely' are they mate? Fuck off man. Del Bosque may be trying to experiment a bit now but only to his detriment. Portugal tried to be 'steely' under Quiroz and look what happened and England and Holland are 'steely' only because of lack of depth in talent, or in England's case a lack of anything technical and so they park the bus. - You never divulged about animals you inbred cunt, if you are that hardcore into anti-whaling, fuck off and join greenpeace and make a difference. Take your hairy arm-pitted lass with you too. -Where is Taijii and what happens there? Is this a lesson you learnt off YouTube? Post it up man. I haven't seen it. Are you a vegan? Do you get agro when someone swats a fly and kills it? - China will be the sole dominant force in the world within a decade. Not looking forward to it. Tbh it's going to be a cunt.

Year Zero makes a few good points imo. Anyway your bet Japan v England in Tokyo? Are you taking the piss? I'd almost feel like I was taking a bit of a liberty to be honest. No idea where they're playing mate, just saw the fixtures for that international week, probably be Saitama where most of their games are played. It certainly won't be played in Sendai. I'm ganning for an outright win. A draw is a no-result. I'll bet you £300 and what we'll do right, we'll pay the money to a trusted source on here via paypal BEFORE the game. Otherwise you're a gobshite. Deal? Fuckin Japan as someone pointed out our reserves beat them 2-1 in Austria and it was seen as a disaster. No comprehension of the real world son. I do not do my banking online mate, that is a big no-no for me. I'd be more up for whoever loses sending in a cheque to a charity - say maybe the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. England lose, you send in £300, Japan lose and I'll write a cheque for $460 (or whatever the conversion is at the time) and send it over. Perhaps sent to a trusted third party as proof (maybe to one of the admins) if that's what you want. A draw means exactly that - no result. Alreet? Oh and again, let's not exaggerate on things, it's easy to search for evidence on the net. This a match report from BBC; http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8712673.stm I don't see anything written about it being a disaster, but maybe that's because I've taken the report from the BBC who are impartial most of the time. Both teams look to be missing key players as well judging by the line-ups at the bottom. We all know your history when it comes to surmising about England comparable to the rest of the world, eh, Stevie?!?

  22. And by sheer coincidence (I've just found out now skimming through for Australia's next fixtures) and as luck would have it, Japan play England in a friendly on the 14th of January... How much then, Stevie? 50? 100?? 200???
  23. Utter pish. Japan lost today to wait for it.....drum roll................NORTH FUCKIN KOREA. That team in our group, Montenegro are better than Japan. Confident enough of Japan beating England to put money on it, people are getting way too carried away here as 'shite' as people like to think England are we're still a very strong international side. I've just noticed he'd put money on it If England lost a game to North Korea, the manager would be sacked on the spot, they're ranked 125th in the world, below Moldova, Faroes, Cyprus or Luxembourg. If we lost against any of them it would be the biggest embarrassment in England's history, not just in football but in life. Fucking Japan He's just proven the world wide media machines relationship with England has two intensities, the one where England are going to win the World Cup and the other that Japan are better than us! It's always one of the other. Stick to crying about the ashes and when we beat your rugby team convict. Japan had already qualified for the next round by the time they played North Korea you arse-clown, so therefore the fixture was quite literally meaningless. Tbf though, going to Pyongyang and picking up a result is a right old cunt for any team, not least of all Japan who North Koreans are educated to hate and are treated in an extremely hostile manner from the moment their plane lands on their turf. Now could England go over there and do it? Fuck off man, they can't even beat Algeria on neutral territory, you're having a laugh there! As I've posted before, it wouldn't matter who the manager of England is. If you don't have the players the best thing to do is park the bus and scrap, Capello had obviously come to that conclusion the moment he agreed to take on that dead-end job. And aside from thinking the FIFA ranking system is a joke and should not be taken seriously - is going to Moldova, Faroes, Cyprus or Luxembourg as an unappealing prospect as going to a muppet state with third-rate facilities? No, not quite.
  24. We had a pretty strong squad back then. Thems were the good ol' days.
  25. I would put money on it, the odds would be too juicy to pass up! Look, England couldn't even beat America or Algeria in the WC group stages... ALGERIA man. When you consider how much money is in the game in England, to continually churn out technically inferior players is inexcusable imo. I don't see much change with the next crop of players coming through either, but tbf it's too early to write off the likes of Ramsey at his stage of development. There was a time when tactics were to blame but not now. England are just plain shite. Picking up results by parking the bus does not make England a strong side - not in my eyes anyway.
