In quite a fair mood tbh. The weather is quite nice, beautiful summer breeze coming through now, had a nice dinner on the patio, and am still quite on a high after catching 4 mud crabs and 8 blue swimmer crabs last week (chilli mud crab tonight). I'm just loving life I'm afraid to say.

Dogtooth. Don't know why I watched it. Fucking hell, the Greeks are something else! "Give it to me or I'll tell my dad I licked your keyboard."

Used to get a fairly steady flow of that when my fella was living in Serbia, if we're talking slivovitz/rakia type stuff. Everyone seems to have a relative whose postman's cousin's neighbour makes it in buckets under the porch out in the country or whatever. Used to come in old coke or wine bottles, whatever they had to hand, for about £2 a litre. Absolutely sodding lethal too. I miss that lost winter of 2006/07. Aye, rakia, that's the stuff. Bad experience with it, me. 16 years ago, played in a school football team, full of Macedonians, Serbs and Turks, come the end of the year and we went to me mates place for a piss up. I've got to admit I wasn't too used to them at the time. Anyway, he was Macedonian and his father had a setup in his backyard shed and it was stuff that came in a coke bottle no less and as was/is typical as you've described. Jesus, I had to make an effort not to show my face felt like it was peeling off and my chest was caving in. First time in years I had a bath that night because I couldn't stand up for a shower. Spew in the water but I couldn't care at the time. You live and learn, and I've learned never to drink moonshine again.
-
That's all right mate, I don't like them either.
-
England won the Ashes, and the series, so shut the fuck up.
-
Aye, in Australia it is, but it doesn't stop people from making grappa, or that moonshine shite from the former Yugoslavia. Commercially and distilled whisky is better, it has to be said.

Esky; Slab; A case of up to 24 cans/bottles is considered to be a slab of beer, but my description of a slab is 15 cans. Tight-arse prick! And cans ffs, who drinks beer from a can?!?

Aye, that's lush man. That's what I had mostly over Christmas/New Years. Haven't tried the pale ale but will give that a go soon. Had my share of Asahis too, having spent time in Japan and appreciated their brews. A bit hoppy, but it hits the spot as well. Asahi is very nice, aye. Got some in the fridge atm as it happens. Been on the Duvels of late as well. Unfortunately though, some well-intention relative thought 15 cans of Carlsberg would make a nice Xmas present for me. Did you give him a slap, or a fake smile, nod and a wink? It was someone on the lass's side of the family so it was just left at her Mam and Dad's so I didn't even have to hide my disappoinment. It sounds ungrateful, but I was Four cans of something average like Kronnenbourgh would've been much better. I've managed to drink most of it like. It has very little taste and goes down quite easily. It's barely worth the bother though. No, you aren't ungrateful mate, well unless it makes me ungrateful as well and we just don't know it. Anyway my story is, I actually (along with my other half) tried to make an effort this year into buying gifts, well, you know, the thought and all not to buy bloody socks and undies etc was the theme, or so I was told. My other half was the brains to this it must be said. Anyway, one of my uncles is quite tight. Yep, fair enough you might say, you've had to cope with grand kids and the like to look after, as well as your 2 pack a day habit, as well as your 4 case of beer to get through a week, but being Christmas, well, drink all you want, man. My auntie, his wife enjoys a bit of green stuff as well, but she keeps him stable, well as stable as possible, but that's beside the point, I bought a case of Sapporo for this fella. Anyway, Christmas day comes, I'm pretty chuffed at what I've (we've ) done, and my uncle comes along to our house with an esky and a slab of VB cans... fuck off man! Inside his fuckin' esky were Crown lagers, all for him, and the slab of VB's was for me. Fucking yob!

Aye, we are not used to losing, it's not part of our culture, 24 years it's been hasn't it? (enter Stevie with a damning comment here). Anyway, England have been dominant. Batting, fielding, bowling, planning, executing, it's been top notch. Without wanting to sound like that lapdog, Wellsy, good on you England, you have deserved it! Now bring on the ODI's....

I had that years ago when I was down south, not sure I was so keen then but your tastes change, overall the southern type of beer in pubs back then ie warm and no head didn't appeal very much. I may get a bottle and try it again. Bottled beer allows you to have as much head as you want as you'd know, and of course have it cold this time. It helps to have a few nibblies or accompaniments to go with it too.

Europe is not important at all imo, and I wouldn't want us to get a spot. We barely have a squad big enough to get through the rigors of the league let alone worry about other competitions. Would Ashley allow the squad to be expanded in 2011/12, I don't think so, so why hope for it?
-
Obviously Alexis as it is brewed over your way, but not every man or woman enjoys a good drop though. Many others prefer apple cider over an ale.
-
Cool as a cucumber me, today.
-
Yes it is as a matter of fact. But balanced out with malty and fruity flavours, which leaves a non-bitter aftertaste.

Never underestimate the nature of meteorology. It should have rained today, unfortunately it didn't at all, but let's hope there is a flood around the Sydney CBD tomorrow. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and laugh at your good humour in the face of adversity, Ken. I think his comments are in bad taste considering the situation in Queensland. Ah well, never mind, you'll get over it, chrome dome. Those floods will subside soon enough.
-
Got a case of this today. Not cheap by any means, and a bit posh with its background/history, but in all honesty it is lush.

Suit yourself, mate. Some take things more seriously on internet forums than others. Then there is Leazes. I don't think I need to expand there, do I? I'd hate to see you when you are bitter. Only when I'm blind does that happen, man.

shut up man, we've bossed every test match other than perth and the first innings in brisbane. don't you agree now that our bowling attack has been better and that's what has won us the series? that said, i've been surprised at how many loose shots your top order has played through out. too many players that know better giving their wicket away where for us it's mainly just been colly and pietersen. agree bell should have walked but don't forget the current aussie skipper did the same a couple of test matches ago. is he a cunt too? not everyone is adam gilchrist, and that's a shame, but lots of top pros would have done the same. Settle down, man. IIRC, that's twice you've brought that up now. OK yes, England's bowling attack is better, don't need to be a supa-analyst to work that one out, but didn't you say Australia's batting was better with which I disagreed with? Go on, look back now. nah, i never said your batters were better. just that they were more suited to playing in aussie conditions. our batters' failings to playing extra bounce were exposed in perth but other than that we've batted better and that is mainly down to the rubbish the aussies have bowled at us. it's the bowlers that have won us the series. that's the worst australian bowling attack i've seen in my life time. no genuine front line spinner. middle of the road pace attack and the one genuine wicket taker in the side - mitchell johnson - is more inconsistent with his lines and lengths than steve harmison on a bad day. We lack a bowler who relishes taking up the new ball. I've said this before but Australia have been papering over cracks since Warne, McGrath, Hayden and Langer retired. The rebuilding should have started 3 years ago, not after this calamity of a series. For instance Kawaja should have been given a shot in the first test, not now. Your bowlers have done great, but without Cook you would not be as half as competitive. At least your cricketing hierarchy had the foresight to persevere with him, and you are now reaping the rewards. All you lot need to do is get rid of Collingwood, and replace him with someone young and you'll be laughing for a few years yet.

What a bitter cunt. Ye naa what yeez are, scousers in the sun, nothing more nothing less. Bamps. I'm not that bitter, and I don't steal or kill either, poor analogy tbh. I think England have outplayed us in every facet and have deserved to retain the Ashes and I have given credit where it is due in this thread and to people I've met visiting as part of the Barmy Army. But they don't deserve to win this one, not on the sacred SCG turf anyway, I'll be disgusted somewhat if that happens. Anyway when it's all said and done I'll head over to Bondi or Bronte and frolic in the surf and have a few pints...err I mean schoonies with some of the lads and lasses that have come over. Tell that to the poor aborigines in the 19th century pal. The fact is England fucked you on your own turf, in a sport the average Aussie cares for more than we do. All you need to say is well done England, not you didn't deserve to do this or that. I don't honestly know where Aussie or scouse arrogance comes from. Look champ, we've said sorry about that. It's all official and in the history books for the kiddies to learn about now. What's with your continued attempts at correlating scousers and Aussies btw, we are nothing alike... apart from being used to success for periods of time? Is that arrogance though

No he wouldn't. The silly prick would switch focus and attention to my supposed username on another website, and gnarl at the teeth while he thinks he's destroying me here.
