I've been told Hughton banned him after he went mental at HT against Hull. But he can still play. I kna, it sounds ridiculous but then nothing would surprise me at the minute,. -

Nice to know it's only the well meaning Nigerians who have put money in. I'd hate for us to be lumbered with a complete wanker.

You obviously haven't met Stevie then -
He's a great player who has had to put up with so much shite from some of our support. He'll not stay beyond this year but I'd really like him to.

I do, simply because I saw the way Freddy & co. ran us into the ground, but do I feel I owe Ashley and his mates anything? Do I fuck. Even after Polygon and Belgravia had said "Fuck that!" he was willing to come along and pay for half the club without even looking at the books. That's his fault. The fans shouldn't need to lick his arse while he 'streamlines' the club. -

I could understand the "supporting Ashley" argument if Fat Ash had actually attempted to pad the side out with squad players so when we were in the throws of the inevitable injury crisis that follows this club around it wouldn't be so bad. If anything he's done the opposite and he's worked the squad down to a skeleton staff. People seem to be blinded by the figures. Ashley may have 'saved' us from financial ruin but that should not give him dispensation to fuck up our club. Yes, he may have the nouse to put the club in a very good position financially but on the pitch? I honestly think if he doesn't sell up we're going down this season because no good manager will want to take a job he has no security in. Cheers Mike, Dennis, Tony, Jeff and Derek. Wankers. -
Aye I wasn't getting a Geremi today - just saying it highlights the squad depth. I wouldn't call myself a fan of his but I do think he isn't half as bad as some make out - he is slow but I think he's got a decent footballer's brain somewhere in him. He was our highest assist provider by a mile last season.

Stevie - hoyed oot after 5 minutes for starting on, well just about everyone probably Leazes - hoyed oot after 5 minutes for telling everyone how the show was better with Lovejoy in charge. 5th best TV programme over the last 10 years etc... Pud, Wacky - hoyed oot after 5 minutes for trying to get into Helen's knickers Berb - hoyed oot after 5 minutes for telling a joke Lazarus and Jimbo both hoyed out for discussing their respective porn collections mid-show.

Hmm...the point he is trying to make may be spot on but he's suffering from South of the Watford Gap syndrome, by just making up random shite about the club. Ashley can't sell because he wore his shirt on the stands and drank alcohol, he can't sell because he's asking for too much and, if you ask me, he isn't owa keen on selling! Still, I can't remember the last time I found Russel Brand tolerable. So go him.

Basically, it's the point where every fucker realises that players aren't worth £150,000 a week, people switch off, stop packing out stadiums and generally lose interest en masse. No one pays as much for the rights as they used to and eventually all the clubs who were at the top find themselves "doing a Leeds". Of course it may not happen for decades yet but it will happen one day. Football can't keep wasting money like it does.

In retrospect I agree, but the previous incumbent didn't know enough about business imo. What we need is either a happy medium or someone with enough money to not to need to worry about the business side of the club. It's a double edged sword. If we get the former we can only hope to be a midtable side until the arse drops out of football but if we get the latter yeah, we'll win stuff but there is a high chance we'll be one of the casualties when said arse drops.

Not only was it sentiment and romance but it was showing signs of actually being a good footballing decision, though I'm beginning to think that that was more through luck than judgement on the board's behalf. What you said. After the first five or six games I was seriously worrying about relegation, and how fate would probably come back to bite us on the arse since we did so well with Keegan the last time. That feeling disipated when he took us on a run which saw us become the form team in the Premiership for about a month and a half. Journalists will go on and on about how his win % was less than Fat Sam's, but the hangover from the BSA era was huge and the fact he turned us around rather than take us down says buckets about KK. He also put pay to the tactically naive rumours by seeing the attributes Owen had, playing him in the hole and giving him the confidence to perform like he used to. It was a masterstoke. We were playing good football and we were winning games under a manager who galvanised the whole city and that was all that mattered. We could've finished top 10 this season and i'd have been happy. Now it looks like we're in for another relegation scrap
-
No Rob Grant though? I fully expect to see a disaster like the last two seasons
-
Apparently so. Could be an interesting and expensive time with only a couple of airlines and looking like only a couple of banks the way things are going. Eventually we're all going to be owned body, mind and soul by microsoft anyway so maybe it's for the best. Alitalia cancelling some flights out of Rome today - "technical reasons" - eg no fuel............ They're on their arse. A consortium putting together a rescue package pulled out last night.

I've signed up. I'll certainly join once this is in full swing, it's what the club has needed for years. I assume you're very much directly involved in this Pud? -
That's a good idea, but keep it password protected so any old Tom, Dick and Harry can't get into it. Howay Pud, what do yer think?

Theres also a 2 week ban for telling someone about the one week ban But I can tell someone about the 2 week ban without any backlash, aye?
