I'm just aware of how easily people can feign offence, I know for damned sure that my Dad got into trouble for saying the un-pc phrase when there was a transition between "coloured" and "black". a bloke pretended he was offended to get back at my dad for passing him up for promotion. In the hearing my dad effectively said that it wasn't because the guy was black that he didn't get the job, it's because he was a twat. so, yes you're right that these days it's a fucking minefield, but that doesn't mean you should just capitulate. If no offence was meant and the phrase itself isn't inherently racist then I don't see that the bloke has a leg to stand on tbh. if Jonny had said "fook me look how black that nigger is" then yes, he's in for a whole shitstorm of trouble, but it's (imo) no different than when people comment on how orange Dale Winton is. It's only offensive if the person attaches worth tocolour, and in that case the racism is theirs, not Jonny's. but Jonny will have to apologise simply because it's easier.

I think an apology would certainly fix the problem. I don't think what Jonny allegedely said was offensive, either in content or intent I think the defence I offered is another way to fix the problem. I think J69 takes every opportunity to try and show how cool/politically correct he is and he just comes off looking like a twat. I think pp is very tall

I'm well aware of the attendances for the last Ashes, but I maintain that cricket isn't half the popular sport here as it is with the aussies. I'm saying that the Australians go over the top with their celebrations. to be honest it'd be like Newcastle twatting Darlington in the 3rd round of the cup and the Newcastle fans celebrating like we'd won the fucking thing.

I really don't think you need a big squad in the first season, concentrate on the league position and europe and you should be fine. The following season bulk out your squad depth and field your strongest teams in Europe, the League and the FA cup. oh and p.s. his uber-high stats are potential stats, not current.
