  1. Pop-up Pirate, Buckaroo and Operation. Scrabble's a good game, lets me be all verbose
  2. I'm guessing it was a pose for the photograph?
  3. it's over-hyped, filled with ornery bastards, over-priced and always, but always an anti-climax
  4. show me where I've seriously said "Anyone but Freddy" I'm all for change and to be honest I think it's going to come about 4 years too late, but to say "Anyone but Fred" is naive and that's why I'm sure you'll find I haven't said it... neither have most of the contributors to the perpetual argument you provoke. if you look at the teams that have done better than us, they've all one thing in common. The manager, chairman and team have moved with the times, they've progressed and have not simply maintained an approach to the game that was successful ten years ago. We haven't.
  5. She is, yeah. Another friend took the photo, so I only just got it. I go to see Lauren in six days, it's pretty exciting. I've just seen photos from their NYE party. I like this one: She's on the left. anyone else hear Jimbo thundering towards this thread with Kleenex in one hand and... something less mentionable in the other
  6. I smell the return of the "which famous person do you look like" thread..
  7. perhaps, Leazes, if you altered the way you put your view across it wouldn't be dismissed as the ramblings of senility. every post in an argument seems to devolve into petulant name calling and snide condescension. I am utterly convinced that Freddy Shepherd is one of the major factors in this club stagnating over the last ten years. You've said nothing to convince me otherwise, and the way that you have replied has lead me to believe that you care less about making a point and more about making a scene. you love to remind people that you're older than they are and have watched more games. Yet even with this undisputed experience you're so quick to damn other peoples views. Surely experience should have taught you that other peoples informed opinions are worth no more or less than your own? And on this board in particular I doubt you'll find people making grand statements without at least some modicum of sense to back them up with. /rant
  8. I'd give Plymouth a miss. It's a dump. MKancm,ag holy crap that's the best typo ever... couldn't delete it ok, manc mag posted a picture of a beach/cove/bay thing on the south coast which looked beautiful. That's more my kind of thing, not the towns on the coast.
  9. not at work til the 4th and even it's just barwork
  10. UK, I fancy going to South West Coast of England, heard some nice things about it and it's pretty much the only place I haven't been that I'd fancy. Europe, I'd love to go back to Italy, do as much of it as I can by road, so that I can really enjoy the beautiful countryside. World. well the US is still a favourite destination of mine, but I'd quite fancy Australia... I guess it's a toss up between arrogant Ozzies and ignorant Yanks...
  11. more likely see the back of Le Guen than Ferguson tbf
  12. You are kidding aren't you? unfortunately, yes
  13. first french "comedy" thing I've ever laughed at.
  14. Lad in the pub told me East 17 were playing Prague last night. now, this might be bollocks because he also "guaranteed" we would sign Gravesen in the last transfer window.
  15. Had a few pints at the lerkel, had a random family in the pub along with the rest of us lerkels and they were a bit pished... truly inappropriately drunk. They were swigging WKD and swearing, the parents had a proper slagging match and at the point where the woman said " You make me fucking Sick!" the young lad threw up bedside the Xmas tree. They started arguing about whose fault it was, offered no apology to the poor barman who had to clean it up, all the while completely oblivious to the rest of us pissing ourselves laughing at them. heads a bit groggy this morning thanks to cheap ass vodka and free whisky
  16. I find him pretty inoffensive tbh. he's got a bad habit of telling us all his woes, but that's about it. rather he posted than some others tbf (plus he usually can be relied upon to take attention away from me )
  17. fair point, but I'd rather spend money on someone who is young and has potential, rather than on a player who seems to have been substituted by an "alright" 18yr old.
  18. keep that video off here and I'll sponsor you craig. put it up and I might rescind that offer
  19. None of those get my trousers tenting to be fair. Beattie (as has been discussed) is a one season wonder, there are better players out there, with a better attitude and a hunger to improve. I'd rather take Nugent, or play a counter-attacking/passing game for the pacey Martins, Dyer and Owen? £6m is massivley over-pricing a guy who simply isn't good enough for us. Do we really want Everton's cast offs? They're not selling him because he's attracting big money, they're selling him because he's not good enough for them. I'd prefer Crouch to Beattie iih, but they're both over-priced... so I'd rather we either stuck it out til the summer and tried to sign Nugent, or increase the amount we're willing to spend on a striker. Sort out the defense during Xmas, maybe get a striker on loan, then in the summer go for a more expensive (but better quality) striker.
  20. couldn't agree more, Owen makes clever, sharp runs which the likes of Emre, Solano and Dyer are all too happy to find with their particular type of passing. this is good news, but I'm terrified that he'll break down. or get an eye injury that'll keep him out for another 4 months or get locked up for letting a hooker snort coke off his cock
  21. Whats it about/like? I like the other Sorkin series I've seen.
