  1. don't thinki anyone slagged the acting/direction/cinematography itself I think it's the idea of the film that offends or breeds anxiety with them. it's not right to say that people are slagging the Film

    Interesting

when I'm King, they'll be first against the wall... well them and people who don't wash their hands after a pee

    Own up!

I have to wash my hands after a pee.. it's fucking barbaric to do otherwise. hate taps which you have to turn and the press taps aren't much better, I like those that go off when your hands in the sink. Hate hand driers cos like Cat says they just blow germs about, hate those roller-towels cos they're always at the end and you just know some grimy fucker has had a piss, caught some splash back and rather than wash it clean, wipes it off on the towel instead. I think I covered the level of my cleanliness at the last piss up I turned up for. those who don't wash are rank and should be locked in their homes so that they can rot in their own filth to be honest. this fucking stupid excuse about not wanting to hold people up... bollocks I have never NEVER seen a queue for the sinks and if some grubby fucker is trapped between me and the exit he can fucking wait. I would rather be called an arsehole than wander around the club/bar/house with pissy dew on my hands! I swear to God this conversation is making me feel uncomfortable. to them fuckers who don't wash... I bet you don't even have the good sense to wash your hands before you eat! think about the scum you've got on your hands just from wandering around town...

    Interesting

You know this will probably open up that can of worms labelled 'wrongly convicted' but when things like this happen to confessed criminals I can't help but think they should all be allowed to have at each other. Think about it- lower the prison population, act as a deterent... come on... most of the population wouldn't look at being arse raped as a plus, and I'm sorry if I can't help but say that someone of that caliber deserves all the pain they reap considering all the pain they caused. already happens - in a lot of prisons the guards will actually turn a blind eye and will only step when things threaten to get out of hand. OK so lets get it where they don't step in at all. except to say "Hang on lads, can we reshoot the stabbing scene, there was a boom mic in the frame"
  5. we'll stay up. it'll have nowt to do with our quality but more likely the paucity of talent in Watford and Sheffield's squads, other teams like Charlton, West Ham, Man City and Fulham may slip down the league as it continues. I think Roeder is a decent first team coach, but lacks the big game attitude or tactical awareness. Of course this could be a knee jerk reaction, but it's hardly flying in the face of fantastic football and shrewd summer signings now is it? On a positive note, we picked up no injuries, no suspensions, only lost by two goals and need not visit Old Trafford again this season (cups aside).
  6. my Dad thought since we haven't won there since the 70's "we're due a good performance" ... glad we were positive then
  7. did he go for his second Emmy award? or sort of shuffle away sheepishly, whistling to the sky and hoping no-one had seen it?
  8. so glad we went the "lets just set out stall out to defend" route... other wise we might be on the receiving end of a spanking...
  9. The only difference is that was also Souness' tactics for home matches as well! and his tactis for bird feeding
  10. am I alone in wishing that we had this fixture the first game of every season? get it out of the way, easy to bounce back from (you can blame it on new players having trouble settling in etc.) and you know you won't have to face Man U at OT again in the league so it won't interrupt any good run you manage to string together.
  11. ... erm.. balls.... ooh hows about that O'Brien lad, he's pretty pacey?
  12. but itf it's an inevitability, why not at least go there with the intention of trying to win, instead of this pathetic capitulation. it's the footballing equivalent of rolling over onto our backs and whimpering if it's inevitable, why not instead of starting an unfit striker, start the one who bagged a brace in Europe, instead of having a Spanish soap opera star on the bench, why not have a promising kid? better to burn out than to fade away, so says the Kurgen
  13. thank christ we've a wealth of attacking options on the pitch so that we can claw this back....
  14. If we hold out til the 70th minute, I'd be going for a draw. Go for the win at that stage and they'll pummel us. I'm not saying this is what I'd do, I'm saying that with this starting line up I hope that it's a ploan Roeder has... otherwise he's a tool, a tool, a tool-tool-tool I'd have gone with Parker and Butt in the center, Zog and Duff on the wings, Shola and Martins up front. Told Parker and Butt to sit in front of the back four and sweep up as much as they can there, then Duff, Zog, Ameobi and Martins would have more license to be creative
  15. this is rubbish, going to OT for a draw, playing without two of our more direct players... fuck.. even the message board is half empty.
  16. I'm hoping Roeder is aiming to hold out for 60-70 minutes, then bring on Martins and N'Zogbia with a view to taking advantage of tired defenders? otherwise he's a tool, a tool, a tool-tool-tool
  17. he hasn't the pace, nor speed of thought for the premiership. probably sell him for fuck all in January to a spanish club, where he'll go on to score a hatful
  18. well maybe, MAYBE I was kidding about Shola?...I would have thought a wink smiley would have been overstating the obvious.. guess I was wrong one serious concern about Martins is that if we play our best team, it's incredibly short across the park. -------------------Given --------Carr Moore Taylor Bernard Dyer/Milner Parker Emre Duff/N'Zogbia --------------Owen Martins It's only Moore and Taylor above 6' and while I know height may be the last thing on your mind when you defence is shipping goals left right and centre I think that there are obvious advantages in both attack and defence with a tall team. oh and Jimbo, your comment about Bellamy is crackers unless you mean his fledgling career for Liverpool?
  19. Really don't want to see this, I know that it will be done tastefully, I know it has the right director to document the horror, drama and heroism that was born on that day, but for me, it's too soon. Someone told me it was all a little too "America is great" for his liking, which I would have thought came with the territory, which is another reason for me to avoid it. this and "Flight 109 (or whatever)" come too soon on the heels of the event in my eyes and while I appreciate that nobody is making these films with cynical motives in mind, I still wouldn't be able to draw anything from the experience. the last film I watched was True Lies..... now that's how you deal with Terrorists.... GO ARNIE!
  20. Smooth isn't the bald angry dwarf who is obsessed with all that is vulgar he's much taller than that

  23. I think it's about time we had a knee jerk reaction to this lad. I've taken as much notice of him as I can through the foggy pane of the goggle box and it strikes me that he's decent.... but not worth £10m, he's certainly no better than the othe rplayers that we werde linked with, players who we could have got at a lower price. I hope that the brace against Levadia on thursday is an indication of things to come but lets not forget that he was pretty average for the first half. I'm looking at the players we've brought in and see Sibierski do far better than I had expected and flashes of Rossi, but the player that came with the big reputation hasn't really hit the ground running. He seems a good yard or two off the pace, his passes and first touches are indistuishable from each other at times. He has the pace to reclaim a bad touch, but surely an Inter player would have learnt how to receive the ball without needing to chase 3 yards after it. so I have my doubts about Obafemi... certainly not fit to wear the Number 9... give it to Shola
