  1. Had no idea that Die Hard was his first proper film role?
  2. Thin squad, but thick enough where he "plays".
  3. and the way we play, Perez, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, can all play in that position and at least to his limited standard.

  5. That'll show them* *show them new avenues to circumvent the rules
  6. Yeah, there's not a position that Gouffran can play that we don't have someone who is at the very least as incapable in that position.
  7. Jesus, Jamie McClen would be capable of contributing more than Yoann.
  8. I know it's the shit-v-shit debate again, but I'd rather be shot of Gouffran, than Colback or Anita.
  9. You look at the team that Stoke have assembled, Bojan, Shaqiri, Arnautović, Afellay. That's a lot of mavericks, but it's working. Mercurial talents lighting up the league, at Stoke?!
  10. To be honest I'd give Cabella a bigger break than Thauvin. I was never convinced by Florian, but Remy looked like a bit more time in the league could have seen him settle. Either way, I agree that we signed the wrong characters, but I reckon we'd have seen better from them both had we played them alongside a Shelvey-type of player from the start. The type of football we've been forced to play isn't really conducive to getting the most out of the kind of personality they seem to have.
  11. Anyone who gets upset when Ben Arfa is brought up shouldn't go on twitter any time soon. Quite a few people pointing out that we've wasted North of £25m trying to replace him.
  12. Did you post this, just to post something? There seems to be three random thoughts, one of which seems self-contradictory?
  13. Always a gamble though, isn't it? Cabaye looked to have the right mentality up until the point he went on strike. Ben Arfa looked like a right little shit bag, but immediately bought into the club? Agree with this, and it's why I'm worried that if we do sign a striker, we'll drop Mitrovic and his acclimatisation will suffer.
  14. Apparently, he's asked for the move himself. Unsurprising given the shit he got at Watford. Don't think he's cut out for the Premier League, less so that Cabella who he replaced. But there is quality and value to be found in the French league.

  16. My biggest concern is that we raise our game against the big clubs & still can't pick up 3pts. If Shelvey, Saivet (plus anyone else we bring in) can translate average performances against average teams into wins, and good performances against the top clubs into points, well, we'll shoot up the table, leaving the others around us in our wake as we surge into the heady heights of 15th!
  17. I'm hoping Shelvey will dramatically improve the quality of chances that fall to our strikers, and that he allows us to build attacks, instead of operating solely as a counter attack side.
  18. As Trooper says, we need to get a string of results.
  19. Could do with a draw to be honest
  20. Think if Perez gets a rest he'd be a useful option on the left. Also, Thauvin and Aarons should benefit from an improved centre. We'd be better off improving the defensive side of our left flank, rather than the attacking
  21. Same as Dummett. Seems a nice lad, but isn't up to the standard we need.
