Hyperbole!

I'm at 100% relegated now. McClaren going might downgrade that to 90% but I can't see our chances looking any better than that.

Steve McClaren sacked as Newcastle United 'Head Coach' (Manager)

At the end of the day McClaren played Gouffran on Wednesday, played Aarons leftback at Chelsea, has played Perez as a lone striker, has stuck with two defensive midfielders all season, has played Gini wide left, refused to give Thauvin a chance, has kept Colo as captain. Yes we've clearly not addressed the areas of the squad that needed it but he made all those choices I've just mentioned. He could have played two up front. He could have played another defender against Chelsea, he could have stopped playing Anita and Colback together etc. The squad is not what it should be and you're right we haven't signed players for the right reasons but he's still had choices and repeatedly made the wrong ones. He's also blatantly failed to get the players fighting. Yes they're playing tidier football but it's still football that creates nothing. How many goals have we scored away from home? Only villa have scored less than us. What is the reason for this? It's because (very similar to Pardew) he's far too defensive I his thinking. Gini gets nowhere near the box away from home. Is that because he doesn't want to? No it has to be the instructions he's working to. His appointment has been a massive error that should have been rectified before the 18 day break at the very latest. I no faith that it will now. Charnley will probably stick with him even when we go down. -

Also wasn't an improvement. The improvement was the change to Hughton. That was luck though. But again sticking with the same shite because we're scared of them making another mistake isn't the answer. It's the defeatist thinking that Ashley has pushed onto us. -

They weren't odds on to be relegated at the time. -

Basically we have more players than last season. Gini, Mitro, Mbemba at very least have come in without us losing anyone. My expectations aren't unrealistic to think that McClaren should be able to improve on last season with that. But we've been in the bottom three almost all season. And now we're more likely to go down than stay up. Yes he's inherited a squad low on confidence and the club has a losing mentality from top to bottom, but there's no getting away from his failure. He's got less out of more. And the previous management got little enough as it was. I still feel a decent manager could get this squad mid table. McClaren is proving himself not to be a decent manager. -
Aye I'm in the east stand too

I can't see where there's any argument. I've stuck up for him for a long time but the fact is we've spend around £80m on the team for him and we're worse off than we were. He has to take a large portion of the blame for that, -
I'm sick to death of Sissoko. We're in a fight and he's the last person I'd want with me in the trenches! I'd rather keep Dummett in the side. He's fucking hopeless but at least he's a gutless cunt.
-
Aarons left, Perez right, Doumbia and Mitro up front and Shelvey and Gini in the middle. Go for the fuckers.
-
He's not played worse this season you daft get. I wouldn't include Elliott in a worst of the season team though tbf. Colo, Dummett, Colback and definitely Sissoko would go in a worst team. Not sure I'd really say individually I'd have any of our other players in it though. The rest would probably come from the rest of the bottom 4.

A few of my mates sit in there actually.

I'd pretty much just pick our starting eleven since I've very little interest in watching other teams who are as bad as us!
-
I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow. Maybe it's just because we've had a couple of weekends off or, more likely, I'm just looking forward to getting up the town on the piss. I can't predict we'll win any game these days but I don't actually fancy us to lose for a change. If we don't get a pretty early goal the crowd will get restless and it will be a very unpleasant atmosphere. But with three bottles of Sol for a fiver in the five swans before, I should be able to get pissed enough not to care.

A surprisingly worthwhile post for a change.

These charities should have come out before it got anywhere near this stage tbh. The guy from the NSPCC there is saying how they should have suspended him until the case was sorted even if they hadn't known what he did. Where were people saying this before the verdict?

You mean in terms of reducing their wages or fucking off? Are they able to leave before next January now? -

God I hope not. I've seen him play football and I'd be devestated if I was that bad. Plus I think my writing, while not great, is above the standard of an eight year old! -

Heard it in a roundabout way from one of the players. Not saying it's 100% true but it makes sense. -
Aye I've not been to The Valley Junction myself but one of my mates (who's opinion I trust in this area) swears by it. Dabawal has been nice the two occasions I've been and we had a group of ten or more one of those time. Sachins and Vujon are both really good but I'm not sure how they'd be for that sort of size group.

The ones you mention plus Money Sport, NJM, Phoenix, Castaway, Halow (I've only just put this on so not tested it much), Zem Tv, Speckto, UK Turk, The Royal We, Prime Wire, SALTS, White Cream. The last one has a good line in transgender for you Gem!

I've heard there's a big meeting at the club today. Fully expect the outcome to be McClaren being told we need to win on Saturday to keep his job. Which we probably will but then lose to Leicester and not beat the mackems and be back to square one but three games further down the line and less likely to get anyone else in by then. -
They looked like that until they brought a new manager in. Maybe there's something in that?
-
I actually agree with you there Fish. I think if we'd played like we did last night in more away games this season we'd have picked up more points. I expected a feeble rolling over last night but we were pretty solid. Yes we created nothing apart from Doumbia's chance, but neither did they. Our defence was pretty resolute and I think Taylor and Lascelles deserve credit for how well they dealt with all of the balls into the box (Dummett allowed them to get far too many crosses in). But whilst I agree with you and Renton that on paper Bournemouth, the tramps, Palace & Swansea looks like a very winnable run of games, the fact remains that we haven't put a run of wins like that together in years and never at all under the current clown we have as manager. I just don't see us winning all of them. I think 7 points from those games is the best we can hope for and given our away record I have very little hope we'll get anything. I rate us as having about a 40% of survival under McClaren. I think as Alex says, if we chucked some money at someone like Moyes, a new manager boost might give us a bigger shot. But since we've not sacked McClaren yet I honestly don't see it happening even if we get relegated.
