That fucking idiot Kinnear cost us the game today. We were cruising at half time with the only doubt being how many Owen would score. Then because of one injury he moves three players out of position and what had looked as solid defence as I've seen from us for a long time, suddenly looked the mess we usually expect and Beye and Jonas looked lost. If he'd just brought Viduka on and dropped Owen back we would have been comfortable. Since the first couple of games when he looked like he actually knew how to make substitutions he has been fucking clueless.

He can kiss goodbye to any hopes of managing a top team now, first little bit of pressure and he's off. Makes Keegan look like a right stayer!

Righteous Kill. A lot better than I was expecting tbh. Fairly standard fair and a wasted oppertunity with the talent on display with a twist as obvious as they come but a resonably entertaining thriller all the same. -
TBH giving him the job fot the rest of the season is best hope we have if we're not going to be sold (and we're not). No one else better would take the job on and there's a bit more chance of players signing in January with us having a manager in for the rest of the season than one on a month to month deal. He's done so so although I think the simple fact of having a manager in place was enough to pick us up for a bit as long as it was a proper manager rather than our coach doing the job. The football (Villa aside) has been pretty poor and we still aren't doing well in terms of results (points dopped to Wigan at home and the scum and Fulham away (what were two of the easiest games of the season) is a poor state of affairs) and we are going struggle with this team and him (although all the teams under Everton are shite so they will all most likely struggle too. The problem as everyone with sense has said as this is just the confirmation of what we all feared, we are no closer to getting rid of Ashley and his band of clowns and no closer to having a club we can be proud of again. We continue to be a soap opera (not even a decent one, more of an Eldorado) that embarasses us as fans.

Makems versus Newcastle reserves yesterday

There are some really shite teams in the league this year. Everone from Portsmouth down looks poor with only Citeh and Spurs having much possibility of doing better. -

Short Cuts. I don't know why I bother with these multi stranded drama's as they all leave me cold and this one more than most given that the connections with most of the characters was that they standed next to each other at some point. That said the acting is first class and the direction good. A Matter Of Life & Death. Brilliant, Niven is class but this is the second Powell & Pressburger film I've seen recently where Roger Livesey has been absolutely class. -
There's absolutely no chance of N'Zogbia replacing Duff. Duff is first name on the teamsheet for Kinnear. More likely that Jonas will be dropped than that Irish clown.

The way the league is panning out at the minute I think we need to play as strong a team as possible to try and keep the score down. Goal difference could prove vital this year and avoiding the five nil drubbings the scum and paedo's got should be the prioity.

Kemeni is actually a very good keeper. I've seen him play a few times and he's always been class. I admit I did fall that 'all african keepers are poor' at first and I think it's a fair comment because every other one I've seen in the past have been (and I'm talking internationals here so it's fair to assume that if their best are poor then the rest will be worse) but this guy is a different kettle of fish.

Inland Empire. What the fuck was all that about? Even for a David Lynch film this had me completely lost, it just seemed to be a load of scenes with people walking in and out of rooms. I honestly couldn't see what the film was supposed to be about at all. -

Rebel Without A Cause. Enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to tbh. -
Bet most of them were under fatty.

I think Stoke and WBA are knocking bets to go down and that leaves one place up for grabs. West Ham could very soon be in a much worse position than us financially and have to sell players come January (players that aren't that good to begin with) so I fancy them to be the third team. And as Alex says there are a load of other teams that can't string two wins together so I do think we will be alright. That said we are fucking shite though and I have next to no faith in Kinnear to use substitutions well or Ashely to be realistic in his demands for the club to allow us to be sold by January. It's going to be a long season.

He's been about the only ray of light in this season for me, I agree in the last couple of games he's been a bit disapointing (although I think he's improved as the games went on and was taken off at the wrong time in both games) but before those he's been excellent. His passing is a massive improvement on the rest of the team (wouldn't take much like) he can beat a man with ease and his graft is great (should have done better for their first goal on Saturday like). And unlike the rest of our one paced cloggers he's actually fast. Duff for me on Saturday was wank and moving him to the right to accomodate other players made no sense to me (I know they were swapping throughout but the change meant he was stuck there for the rest of the game). The only downside I have with Spideman is he can't shoot but neither can duff (or Shola for that matter).

I think he was booed for the transfer request (never a good move for footballers) and the subsequent interview where he said he put in the transfer request over money (def not a good move for footballers). He did go right down in my estimations after that but I still didn't boo him, he got his move, we got far more money than he was worth, and we had a far better replacement for once in Jonas. Mind, I kind of se where he was coming from with the salary issue. He must have seen the huff Steven Taylor took during the summer and the amount he eventually got and thought 'how the fuck us he worth that?' I have to say I was worried this would happen after the public drama Taylor made of his new contract, other players would quite rightly think he was being overpaid for his ability and be demanding far more, as in this case with Milner. Whilst I've ever rated Milner, if the club were putting such a value on him and paying Taylor what they were I think he every right to ask for parity and then ask for a transfer when they went back on their promise of it to him. He was considered one of our senior players but not paid accordingly. While even what he was on was obscene to the rest of us it was less than a lot of players who are a lot more useless than him (Smith immediately springs to mind). He didn't drop in my estimations (well not once it came out that he had handed the request in a comfortable amount of time before the window shut) so despite being vocal in my opinions of his ability I would never boo him.

I think thats quite normal tbh. Looks to me a lot of big clubs run 4-4-2 with a more right midfielder then right winger. Bit like Beckham for United I guess. Now I'm not comparing Milner with Beckham, but the tactical side of bringing a more work horse then flair player is similar Seems to go in and out fashion a lot though doesn't it. At one time teams seemed to want full backs that can attack and wide players that defend. In essesnce they sort of merge into one as wing backs. I think the game now is more about pace. Fergie certainly thought that when he offloaded Beckham and brought in the likes of Ronaldo & Nani to replace Giggs. Full backs that can defend first & foremost and wingers that can attack with pace. Good point about offloading Beckham. If you look at the pace in their team now it's truely firghtening even those who look ordinary in that department make players at other clubs look slow as fuck (which is what Milner actually is). I think overall all of the top four have fast attacking players, not all of the Walcott/Ronaldo pace but all fast compared to the rest of the league. Milner looked slow in our team and we only have a couple of players with any pace at all.

That was the first film I thought of. I actually quite liked it but never laughed once. Blazing Saddles & Spinal Tap do very little for me either. For some reason the more highly praised a comedy film is the less funny I seem to find it yet with comedy shows I nearly always agree with anything highly rated.

I was slagging Milner off for ages before he went so I'm still over the moon at the money we got for him (even though it's done us no good at all so far) and I think we are better off with him gone as I wouldn't play him ahead of any of Jonas, Duff or N'Zogbia. Was happy to see he kept up his run of hitting the first man with every cross on Monday. That said I couldn't understand why he was booed. I never rated him but he always gave his all and never caused us a minutes bother. Aside from that I think O'Neill is doing a class job with Villa tbh. Carew is a cracking player but can be awful on occasion but MON is helping keep that to a minimum and Young and GA are cracking young players. He knows what he's doing bringing in so much pace, that's what all of the best teams have, which I suppose only makes the £12m he spunked on Milner all the more surprising.
