  1. Good news for me since I would be renewing anyway but the whole 'you must renew before you find out which wonderous players we are going to sign' thing is criminal. Also if we do go down this decrease will certainly not be enough and they may need a rethink.
  2. Came on for the last few minutes according to .com. Looking at their under 18 records the kid has only been on the bench 3 times for the academy so what's he been doing so far and how does he suddenly warrant a push into the reserves?
  3. Sideways - 8/10 Had only watched the first haf of this before and didn't think too much of it but thought I'd give it another go and was glad I did. The bit where Hayden Church get's twatted is hilarious.
  4. Played well again but I had Enrique down as better than him. Enrique seems to need to do something decent at the start of a game to go on and play well. If he has a dodgy start then he's fucked but if he puts in a good tackle early doors he almost always seems to go on and have a good game. lack of self confidence perhaps Was thinking that as I typed it. Thinking about it futher, I can't really remember any of the (how many is it now five or six?) managers who we've had since Enrique has been here ever really giving him much praise (in public at least). Perhaps that might do him good.

  6. Has he been playing for the juniors? Can't remember ever seeing his name on on team listings.
  7. He shouldn't have been playing in the first place tbh, it's just the first worrying signs from our management team that they can't think beyond 'well this team won last game so we'll just go with that again'. Martins and Guttierez should have been straight back in the team and Ryan Taylor should have been fullback instead Geordie boy but seeing as Steven had decided he wanted to play right foward, Ryan (or Lovenkrands in the second half) was playing there anyway. Anyway good result considering the sending off and you would hope it would give them a bit of confidence going into the Bolton game where we really could do with getting somthing considering the next three home games.
  8. Always claims to be a Geordie but in reality is now a died in the wool manc who has always been angling to eventually take over from Fergusson. And the shite he came up with in the studio when we twatted them five nil has always stayed with me.
  9. Fucking arsehole cunt who I want at this club about as much as I want Ashely and co. Always detested him more than most other people in football (certainly more than I've ever hated Wise). Better than Kinnear (hardly a recommendation) but that shouldn't be the criteria.
  10. Hendricks gin is the best and cucumber is suprisingly better than lime.
  11. A Life Less Ordinary - 7.5/10 Danny Boyles most fun film (and better than Slumdog) with McGreggor and Diaz at their most charming.
  12. He looked good in their first half against Valencia the other night (especially has he was playing on the right hand side of the attack) but he faded in the second half.
  13. Actually he sounds a bit of twat. He falls for it, get's stitched up and loses his wife but all he's bothered about is the long drive!
  14. Without reading the story it does sound a bit similar to a thread that I believe now resides in our gold section.
  15. Got about ten minutes into that before I fell asleep. I must admit this falling asleep in his films has a lot more to do with when I'm watching them than with their quality. The only one I have watched (nearly) all the way through was 400 Blows which I found one of the worst films I've ever watched. I will keep on with STPP though as I have it Sky +'d
  16. Other than mugs like me who will keep going regardless of how shite it gets, I can't see many being swayed by any more false promises or even financial incentives. It's the club moving forward we want to see not words that mean nothing coming from slimey cunts like them.
  17. Ain't seen it. Is it any good though? [Alex\] FYP. I tried to watch Shoot The Piano Player last night but kept falling asleep. Truffaut does nothing for me at all.
  18. Ain't seen it. Is it any good though? Aye I thought it was great, saw it at the cinema yonks ago which give me the added enjoyment of all the charvas going acka at the ending I have seen it actually and I agree it's very good.
  19. I've seen the adverts too, to me it smacks of Clint saying "look, I may be a hotshot director now but don't forget I'm a hard hard bastard". He looks a bit silly whispering the "most powerful handgun in the world" sort of shit when he should be queueing for his pension. Tbh it is essentially a geriatric Dirty Harry, but good none the less. That's what I assumed. This inhaler will blow your head clean off... Macho shit aside, I'd still recommend it. Cracking film tbh. I'd put it above Slumdog, The Wrestler and possibly Benjamin Button from this year.
  20. RocknRolla - 7/10 Not remotely original (in fact almost a remake of Lock Stock, Snatch, Layer Cake) but fun in the same way as all of those films.
  21. Persona - 6/10 I really don't have a fucking clue what this was about but I think I quite liked it. I bet David Lynch loves it though. The Shanghai Express - 8/10 Classic Hollywood film that they simply don't make any more. Only let down was the main bloke who is one of the worst actors I've ever seen. Punch Drunk Love - 8/10 Very glad I splashed out the £4 on this. Sandlers best film and possibly PT Andersons too (Boogie Nights is excellent too but it's been a while since I've seen it and I need to give Magnolia and TWBB another go). Reminded me a lot of Lebowski.
  22. Bob Le Flamber 7/10 - Stylish french crime/heist film. Not as good as Riffifi.
  23. Audi A6 at the minute. Old mans car really but excellent drive and comfortable as fuck. Had a Q7 for a bit in the summer, which was nice.
