Are Carl Serrant and Disco Des busy?

Even series 6 was well ropey tbh. Actually it went downhill after series 3 although there were some high points in series 5.

TV On The Radio - Dear Science, Don't think it's as good as Return To Cookie Mountain (although that took a long time for me to fully get my head around) but very good all the same. Definitely one of the best albums this year.

Hancock - Not what I was expected (even after hearing it's not what you expect) and I thought it was all the better for it. -
Today's BBC rumour has us trying to bring Dogleish back. Fucking hell, Ashley and Wise really must be closet Makems.
-
Department Of Eagles - In Ear Park. Similar to Grizzly Bear and pretty good.
-
Cheers, I'll get Soulseek up and running when I get in and try some of them out.

I have to say like I'm sick of it all now. I've given up thinking about who our next manager might be or when we might be sold. I've completely lost interest and I only hope that when one/both of the above happen it will reignite me.

Can't be a bad thing. I can't decide whether to download it or wait til it's on sky (assuming it's soon).
-
You want to get the last album too then. Last Night is a brilliant track. Will do, what's it called. I'm up for any more similar rap to Atmosphere if you have any recomendations.

Excellent. Aye good article that. Signed up. -
I usually don't go much for rap at all but I downloaded it not realising what it was and I'm loving it.

Atmosphere - When Life Gives Your Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold. Excellent album.

Ferris Beulers Day Off. Classic -
Wasn't much to choose from on Saturday really and I suppose he did probably the only good thing by one of our players. Didn't really impress me though.

As long as they aren't racist torrents or porn (not sure what racist porn would be like but your probably the man to tell me Laz) or we don't call each other camel humping cunts we should be alright.

Can't see anyone coming in until this miss with Ashley has cleared up. Bruce may well have been his plan last week but I can't see him bringing anyone in now.
-
Thats fine though, maybe I didnt make myself clear in the first post and that might explain Fish's answer. What they are talking about is having 50, 60, 100, 250k NUFC supporters worldwide who pay a small annual fee (£5 was mentioned as the sort of figure) to be recognised as a supporter, giving them some rights to put their points forward, take part in meetings if they want but more importantly their subs would pay towards running the thing (nobody however would be paid anything to take an active role) and allow a voice to be heard. The association would be recognised by the media and ensure that the only statements that hold any credence are theirs. No radgees from Walker or wannabe gangsters who proclaim themselves the "voice of the fans". Edit: Oh and more importantly you'd get a membership card Cool, I'm up for a card like.
-
I have to admit that I am fully behind this in a totally non particapatory (doubt that's a real word of if it is that I've spelt it right) way. I might pay to be a member or contribute to specific causes in the future but I really couldn't see myself getting involved in meetings. Full respect to those who do though and it would be great to see a sensible presence in the press instead of the charvas that they seem to go out of their way to find at the moment (more on tonight in relation to the new sales stories in what didn't appear to be the city centre).

The worst article there's been on Newcastle yet?
David Kelly replied to Happy Face's topic in Newcastle Forum
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/robborobson/200...g_the_mike.html Keegan's a quitter - check Ashley wears a strip - check Bonus points for xxxxxxxl reference - check Ashley likes a drink - check preference for 4-3 - check Religious Messiah, Judas walk on water bollocks - check Delusional - check won nowt in 50 years - check The fans are too impatient for anyone to succeed - check Ant and Dec/Sting reference - check Obviously this Robbo is a dipshit smog monster, but that has to be a record for stereotypical banality. The only thing it missed was having a misguided attempt to knock our attendances in the eighty's or when we were out of the top flight. Actually given that it's supposed to have been written by a smoggie, having a go at our attendances might have actually achived the comedy it tried and failled to hit. -
Well fuck off and stop going on about us then. We don't want you here, we don't want you to write about us and if you feel the same way then everyone is happy aren't they. But I bet you will be back next match or next time anyone with anything to do with the club farts.
-
Tbf though if that's what he set as an acceptable amount of money that he wanted to spend on us each year that's fine. It's his money to do with whatever he wants and personally I think that it's more than a reasonable amount given what other money we should be able to generate even without selling players. But I cannot see any evidence of that money being made available this summer given that we recouped around the same amount as what we spent.

Yet more bullshit that contradicts itself, which one is it Ash? the paying out many more millions or no longer subsidising? What this bloke clearly believes is that hes bought something and paid a fortune to reduce debt and then every penny it pays out in the future will be coming out of his pockets. What were we again? 14th richest club in the world last year thats what we were Mike, 14th. Now thats not to be baulked at, something like £103million coming in. And he reckons that all the money going out is from his pocket? Bollocks. Even if we finished bottom of the league we'd pick up £26million from Sky, thats £6million more than he was going to put in! I cant believe that we could be making a loss on that kind of income. Added to that is the free advertising he was getting, how much would that fucking Sports Direct on the Gallowgate have cost if he had to pay for it? Added to that, the fact that every other advertising banner is his. Global television beaming his brands across the world. He owns 30% of Adidas for fucks sake so not only does he make money from the club shops when we buy a shirt but from them as well. Forget the bullshit Mike, come out and tell it like it is, explain the proper reasons, proper figures and why it is that employing your mates to run our club from the other end of the country can be seen as good business. Stop making out we're all threatening to kill you I mean its not like anyone purchased athousandwaystomaimorslowlykillwiseashleyandthatllambrianibloke.com or anything now is it? Come out and talk to the fans and maybe you'll see that the image you have in your head is wrong. Talk to us and see why we have a problem rather than trotting out the same old journalistic crap thats been said about us for years. This was one of my points. If he was putting £20m of his own cash in a season for transfers I would be overjoyed because with TV money, advertising, sponsorships, prize money and ticket money, this would give us upwards of £50m a season to spend without getting into Europe. That wouldn't put us far off Manure's spending power and comfortably beat Arsenal or the bin dippers.

I'm not buying this for three reasons. 1. The whole 'Newcastle fans want success now and only want to see big names coming in' is bullshit. Of course every fan wants to see their club bring in top class big name players but the majority of Newcastle supporters were happy enough with how things were going up to a week before the window closed and there was very little sign of revolt on September 2nd until the story broke of Keegan being on his way out. What he has put about this in his statement is as patronising as the usual shite served up by the rags. 2. It seems like another calculated attempt to get the fans on side. This has been his only idea from the begining. First of all we see him wearing the strip, then he's in the Bigg Market buying drinks, then he appoints Keegan and now this. Not one of these actions have been done because he beleives they're in the best interests of the club but because he thinks they will get him in our good books. 3. £20m of his own money each season? Where the fuck is this then? With Milners sale we have ended the window in the black. Surely in addition to whatever revenue the club has raised from regular trading and player sales, this £20m of his money would equate to a transfer budget of around £60m. This to me is a fucking good transfer kitty by anyones standards but we've spent half of this. He's either lying again or this much vaunted recruitment team is not close to being as good as imagined. Or was it being kept for January? Don't get me wrong I'm not, and asside from last Saturday night when that statement was released, have never been in the Ashley is the master of evil camp. I've never bought the him just being here to bleed us dry theory. I honestly believe he just wanted to run a football club (and probably show off to his mates) had never had any bad intentions towards the club or us supporters. But he clearly was either misguided or misadvised about what it takes and I just don't think he's made the right decisions. I don't wish him any harm (but I have no sympathy for a guy who has more money than we will ever see) but he chose a side and I believe it was the wrong decision and a decision that I think now means that he needs to leave the club. I wish we could get someone with the resources to allow us to compete with the big boys but this probably won't be the case so I just hope we can get someone who can run us well without all of the circus that usually surrounds us.

Appointing either of those two, quickly or otherwise is harly going to appease anyone!
