It's not too bad but it has dropped a lot from when I first bought it. This might be an option but is it available outside the US?

Mine did the same last week. No problem adding stuff once restored though, I'm up to 19Gig so far. The second generation one(s) I had were a nightmare. Sent two back to apple and they send you another reconditioned one before they even look at yours. Excellent customer service. Just register at apple.com and tell them about it, they'll send you a pre-paid box to send it back to them. Even if it's miles out of the warranty? Ah, well, I'm not sure about that. You not got new for old insurance? House insurance you mean? I think wor lass skimped on that so I think I might still be fucked. It sounds like the hard drive is fucked and there's not much can be done if that's the case and you haven't got extended warranty already - it would probably be cheaper just to get a new iPod (and yes, I know you specifically stated that wasn't an option you wanted to entertain) Yeah, tbh I expected that was the case (although I have ran I diagnostic on the hard drive in the past and it came back ok) and I'm going to Florida in May when I was planning on getting a new one. But I was hoping for a short term solution if nothing else.

If anyone has any ideas of what I can do other than get a new ipod I would be most gratefull. The problem is, when I am adding music I keep getting messages saying something like this Ipod is corrupted and cannot be synced. When I then eject it I find that all of my music is gone. If I then reconnect it, it then shows that I have however many gig on there as other (ie it's not registering as music any more). This has happened a few times and I've had to restore the thing and start adding music again which works for a while (although a hell of a lot slower than it used to) but then when I get much past 10 gig it just crashes again. It's now done it again but I've only managed to get about 50 songs on and it's starting to go funny again. Anyone had similar experiences?

The Ninth Gate on Channel 5 last night. Honestly I don't know what Depp is thinking about with some of the films he does. Mind you he seemed to be completely aware of how ridiculous it was from the outset. -

Completely forgot about that film. Quality. -
Radiohead's whole catalougue. I'm trying to decide which album I prefer. Going through them in order and so far The Bends is in the lead but I've been surprised at how close Kid A and OK Computer (what I previously considered their most overrated) have come.

Death Proof - Good film, not up with Tarrantino's best but a lot better than Kill Bill (part two at least). The ending was hilarious and certainly not how I was expecting it to go. And Stuntman Mike's first attacked resulted in some pretty stunning visuals. Not a classic like Pulp Fiction or Resevoir Dogs but a very fun movie. -

Wasn't that a really cool cartoon? It was certainly a cartoon. Nee Battle of the Planets like. -
no milner? All huff, hardly any puff. I have to admit I'm sort of still of the same opinion of Milner. He's never really convinced me that we're going to get much end product off him. That said, he's still young and I do feel that he has come on a hell of a lot since before he went on loan to Villa.

I'd forgot about Emre tbh although I'm still not sure how I'd fit him in. I did toy with the idea of Smith in place of Butt in an effort to have a solid midfield that also had more productive possibilities but in the end I went with form and Smith is yet to really show any!

Aye, in the first couple of games I was a bit worried that we had no real way of changing things from the bench, even Owen or Shola weren't going to be able to do anything to help us create if things weren't happening. Which is what we saw against Villa. Martins can create something out of nothing and Smith if used as a forward or more attacking midfielder (seems to have been playing as a holding player so far for my money) can help set things up. You also have Beye who (although I can't remember ever having seen play so I wouldn't really know) should be able to link up with Milner better in an attacking sense to bring on and try and push down our right better.

I know Gemmil hounded out the last person who used to start these threads but now that we actually have some options and a manager that has some ideas on tactics, I think it's actually worth discussing. Given, Beye, Faye & Enrique must surely all be in contention for starts, Martins probably didn't deserve to be left out in the first place, is Viduka fit?, can we push Charlie further forward and make the best use of him? Personally I think Owen is on fire at the moment and it would be crazy not to make use of that but I can't really see where he fits into a 4-3-3 which I think is SA's preference for away games at least and a formation that does seem to suit us away from home. For me I think I would go with the following but I'm far from certain. 4-4-2 Given - I've already stated my reasons for selecting him over Harper Taylor - I thought he played well at rightback against Wigan and I've been pretty happy with him all season so I see no reason to get him straight out of the team because Beye is here. Also Allardyce seems to be wanting to give the foreign players plenty of time to integrate into the squad so there's no need to rush him. Cacapa - Been very impressed with him every time I've seen him play for us or Lyon Rozehal - Slotted in very nicely so far and looks like forming a strong partnership with Cacapa Enrique - N'Zogbia has done well so far but I want to see him further forward and I would have thought Enrique has adequate time to fit in now. Also away to the bottom club is probably an ideal time for him to make his league debut. Milner - Has looked bright early doors. Geremi - I know he's not impressed everyone so far but I've liked what I have seen. He keeps posesion well and privides a strong presence in the middle of the park. Butt - With going for a 4-4-2 away from home with two wingers I can't see any other way to go than with two strong centre mids and Butt has been playing well. N'Zogbia - Probably our best player so far and certainly a big threat from midfield. Hopefully he can form a good partnership with Enrique and really go at their rightback. Viduka - As long as he's fit. I thought he was looking much sharper before his knock against Wigan and I just think he's a far better foil for Owen than anyone else. Owen - On fire as I mentioned earlier so I think he has to play. Subs Harper Beye Faye Smith Martins Those players on the bench can help us cover pretty much every position on the pitch and with Martins and Smith I think we have players who can come on and change things going forward which I think is something we've lacked a bit so far.

Barry was fucking brilliant last night and clearly mom (although I suppose two good goals and an assist in international football is probably deserving of a mom too). Very good on Saturday also. Just goes to show that it's more important to play a more balanced pairing in there rather than necessarily playing the two best players. No doubt Lampard will be back in for the next game like as I don't think McClaren has the awarness or bottle to leave him on the bench. I'm still surprised that Barry hasn't ended up at a better team than Villa before now. He's played consistently well for a lot of years now in a number of different positions! -
He can definitely run with the ball more than any of our other centre mids and I remember him doing it a fair bit when he was paired with Butt last season. His passing can be a bit erratic at time but then he's rarely had any movement in front of him and when he does have his passing can look a hell of a lot better. His set pieces are definitely poor though especially when you consider what he has shown he is capable of on occasions (the goal against the makems being the prime example!).

Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me Another Lynch classic that has made up my mind to buy season two of the series on region 1 as a matter of some urgency. -

I don't think there's much of a witch hunt at all tbh. They haven't had any bad press right from the off which it could be said they deserved for their original (quite possibly) true story of leaving the bairns in the room while they went on the piss. I know most on here have criticised that but the press have been very soft on them because of the horendous situation they are in. If they are telling the truth I do feel sorry for them being accused and I know that it would be devestating to me if I was in a similar situation (not to mention extremely frustating given that I would know the police were wasting their time when they could be out looking for my daughter). The more I think about it, despite my feelings that the mother in particular has behaved strangely since this began, I agree it's difficult to imagine how they could have hid her body for weeks in an area that is being searched (and in the Portugese heat) and then retrieved it and transported it in a hire car to got knows where while the worlds media watches their every move. -
Used to be a canny player but I haven't seen him since the Itallian football went off channel 4. Nice to see we're taking more initiative to ensure Carr is no where near the starting 11!
