I've been trying desperately to watch Donnie Darko for the last couple of nights but I keep falling asleep after 10 minutes. V for Vendetta finally came from Amazon today (what's the fucking point of pre ordering if it comes three days after it's released ) so I'll hopefully be watching that tonight. -

I would say it's one of Pacino's stand out performances (well of his ott roles at least). It's almost an anti Godfather and it works brilliantly as a story of 80's greed. -

I watched Total Recall on ITV4 on Saturday night. One of my favourite Arnie films behind the Terminators and Predator (he really should have stuck to sci fi!). I also started watching the Machinist last night but I had to turn it off when the bairn came out of the bath. Fuck me it seems bleak and the bit where Micheal Ironside gets his arm severed in the machine is a bit grusome. -

Canny film but the "twist"was a obvious considering the cast. There also seemed to be glaring error in that when her off Cocktail came into the house Bobby was asleep in his study then all of a sudden he was in the cupboard! Be Cool. Not a patch on Get Shorty but I can't bring myself to dislike anything I've seen with Vince Vaughn in. The Rock was also good in it. I also started watching They Live last night too but I passed out about five minutes in. I hadn't realised John Carpenter directed it so I will be definitely be looking out for it next time it's on. 166429 i didnt work it out tbh probably because of the errors which made it all a bit contrived 166480 Tbh I missed the start but I just kept wondering why De Niro was playing this part. He just seemed to be being underused so I just assumed it must be him. I'm not usually very good at getting things this but I think it must of been because I didn't get involved in the film that much. Btw if anyone hasn't seen this film don't read what I am writing because I am totally fucking up the ending for you -

Football wise he would be superb but I'm not sure how his attitude would fit in with Roder's ideals.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Very good mash up of something like The Last Boy Scout (written by Shane Black who wrote and directed this) and The Big Sleep. Downey Jr and Kilmer (as Gay Perry) are both good in the leads and the rest of the cast flesh it out nicely. Worth it just for Downey Jr playing Russian Roulette! -

What do you think of it? I've had it for a while now but I've not been able to finish it yet. 154322 I've only just got it and I'm only halfway through, but it's canny. Did you Like School of the Flower? I absoloutley love that and can't see The Sun Awakens matching it, but so far so good. Do you have the compilation Devendra Banhart put together called Golden Apples of the Sun? There's a lush Six Organs song on there called Hazy SF. 154327 I haven't listened to School of the Flower much but I did enjoy it. I will have to stick it on again and I'll have a look out for Golden Apples. Right now I'm pretty obsesed with Yo La Tengo's new album. I only have a half finished promo but it superb.

His new one is out very soon. It's actually the outtakes from Ilinoise and personally I am enjoying it more.

What do you think of it? I thought it was pretty good but just sounded like the last album all over again and the whole thing is a bit dragged out. No where near as good as Mothers Milk or Blood Sugar Sex Magic. Casiotone For The Painfully Alone - Etiquette

Sonic Youth - Rather Ripped. Very much enjoying this. I've never really managed to get properly into them before but I think this could do it.

By the way this girl was sexy and she wouldn't touch you. That may not be tru but I said it so you'd fell involved in the song. & I told the dealer I was broke, he hired a camera man. We did a porno film for coke, I hear I'm big in Japan. The New Radicals - I hope I Didn't Just Give Away The Ending.

I don't really buy that argument, because the fact is that we don't have the players to compete with Man U, Liverpool or Chelsea. And that's not Roeder's fault. Yes, they could have competed better on the day, but it's a long term thing getting us back on a par with that lot. Here's Oliver's bit from the Chron btw: 127264 I have to say that if we ended up with Roder and the scum got O'Neil I would be right fucked off. 127271 I don't think McClaren's gonna get the England job any more mate, following the lukewarm press reaction. I think Boro are stuck with him and O'Neill will need to wait for the next Premiership sacking. 127274 I meant the other scum. The bottom of the article says that he could be on his way to the great unwashed if an Oirish consortium take over!

And that would surprise you would it?

Exactly what the players will think.
