Exactly, enjoy the football and deal with the if's and but's when they happen. Decent manager, squad that's 100% committed and some very good players. When was the last time we had that? -

That pretty much sums up my opinion. IF there wasn't a regime change there is absolutely no way the club could have been able to carry on spending like it did on borrowed money. We wouldn't be competing with the top 4 either, anyone with half a brain and a bit of common sense can see that regardless of going to games or not. fucking hell. You still don't get it. I get you trot out the same old shit, time and again, regardless of weather or not it corresponds with a question another member asks you. You are a fucking crackpot now now, less of the abuse. I'm trying to give you constructive comments, of course, you're not trotting out the same old shit are you ? Still fooled and completely sold by a run of a dozen games or so, so much that it blinds you to the long term sustainability of it all. Not fooled by a run of a dozen games, its only our second season back in the prem after being relegated. We finished mid table last season and could have easily been a few places higher if the game against West Brom not been thrown away. We are playing some decent stuff, have a great team spirit and have not missed Barton,Carroll or Nolan one bit regardless of what people thought. We have just had a tough 3 games against the leagues top sides and can consider ourselves unlucky not to have come out with a few more points. I think you need to give a bit of credit to the players and manager instead of constantly bashing Ashley, as we all know what he's about -
in the long term chum, the top half of the league is considered success by your man, which is exactly my point. His sidekick has said so, and the setup of the club is such that this is the highest aim. Only people who don't spend their cash on the club and watch it on TV will be ultimately happy with that, people who go to games will drift away, and a dozen games doesn't change that one iota. Why refer to him as my man? The question was where do you, Leazes Mag, consider as being also ran?? setting survival as your aim, and mid table as success ? Selling your best players and pocketing the cash ? That may be fine for small clubs like Bolton, Blackburn etc, but not Newcastle. That is the actions of also rans, with limited ambitions, and small 20000 stadiums, struggling to fill them, and accepting you are unable to challenge the other major clubs, this is the mindset Mike Ashley has imposed on many of you, most of whom don't go to games so you accept it more readily. I really don't know why I'm trying to explain this to you again. So pretty much filling a 50000 stadium, having quality players, being serious contenders for a European spot wouldn't be an also ran then would it? I hate to tell you that's Newcastle As for challenging the major clubs I take it you mean the top 4 who you have already admitted that you don't expect us to compete with??

my booze costs are minimal Chez. Don't make presumptions, some people don't like it, and may scold you for it, and we can all make presumptions. In the long run, I stand by my views and how I see the future, as I have done for the last number of years. You will see. There may be more match tickets for your selective viewing in another year or two by the way. Fat lot of good that will do for the accounts, unless he sells another player to recoup the lost money of course. I was fucking mortal on saturday tbf, more to do with popping round to see alex like sounds like you spent more money on booze than I spend in a week then Judging by most of your late night ramblings I doubt that very much -

are you really 38 ? When did you start supporting Newcastle ? Yep, I also posted when and why in a previous thread although that has absolutely nothing to do with you de railing threads with your constant ramblings you have the knowledge and outlook of an 8 year old. You only think its "derailing" because you don't agree. What i say will stand the test of time. Just me?? You really are mental anyone who seriously thinks Mike Ashley will ever match the Halls and Shepherd is mental chum. Never said he would chum but i, unlike you, accept the playing fields are not as level as they used to be and in current circumstances we will not be challenging the top 4. Accept it and move on, enjoy the football and remember all the good times you had with Fred I'll be polite about this and say the situation has been explained dozens of times. A different era, but the opposition is the same, Newcastle United are the same club, the last regime met their competitors and achieved a lot for the club, the new regime is not rising to meet their competitors in the same way. Quite how people like you think that 7th for the last regime is failure [considering where they started] and 7th for Ashley is the pinnacle, is quite beyond any sort of logic. I won't expand further. Trophyshy has a point, I'll try and point these things out in a more constructive fashion. Although calling a spade a spade is something I've always done and don't see the harm in it. I seriously can't believe you don't think the opposition has changed and the finances of the likes of City,Chelsea,Man U and to a certain extent the dippers has influenced how football works and until you do its pretty pointless either myself or anyone else trying to debate it with you I told you a few weeks ago that you will never, ever, anywhere find any post from me saying I expect Mike Ashley to fund the club in the manner that Man City and Chelsea are. Fuck me sideways, why don't you read properly and understand properly. Newcastle United selling their best players and the owner pocketing the cash or directing it elsewhere, and not backing his manager, and competing at the levels of the lower premiership also-rans, is a different matter entirely. I have said to trophyshy that I will try and ignore posts like this, but you really are the limit. How many more times does this need to be explained ? Lower premiership also rans?? Haha

I was sceptical about him but he's won me round. It can't be easy working for Ashley but he's surpassed expectations. I hope fatty doesn't do anymore to fuck things up. New contract for Collo, A CB and Striker in and no significant outs and I'm positive about a decent finish seeing things and making judgements isn't really your strongpoint is it ? In what respect you old lush?? "lush" Look it up and its nothing to do with being green or good looking, glug glug glug -

Just out score the next few teams, not expecting clean sheets but we have goals in the side, we were unlucky not to get 3 or 4 on Saturday, that's how it looked to me anyway, from the couch ;-) -

a dozen games put against 15 years Mike Ashley will NEVER match the Halls and Shepherd, I've said it for years. Put up the proof if you have a different "opinion". Another night on the booze, priceless. lmao -
