  1. Leazes, you say the club won't see the money, the club may well do but Pardew may not get it to spend on players. There is a difference you know
  2. That's the bit I don't get. In all this talk of destruction of history, for example, Arsenal built flats on their's, Highbury is gone completely. THAT is destruction of history, SJP is and always will be SJP. Actually he may have played a blinder, he's taking all the shit, new sponsor (maybe) comes a long and it becomes FedEx at St James Park, "oooh look they've respected history and brought the name back" acceptance all round. (not that the name will go anywhere anyway). Don't some of these clubs have to move though as their current grounds aren't big enough and they can't develop them? It's still a kick in histories balls but is a bit more understandable imo. It's exactly the same in principle, need more revenue = fuck history. The issue here is, this isn't bringing in more revenue. he doesn't get it man Alex. He said he would "revaluate" his views on Mike Ashleys ambitions for the club, he thought we would spend the 35m for Carroll, but instead its been pocketed. The same as money from this name change will go. NUFC is just a vehicle to promote Sports Direct now, this is what he wanted, and there will be more to come yet. The likes of Toonpack etc will defend him until the day he sells, then they will change their position - but by then they will be tired of competing among the dross clubs again, although they won't admit it. Pocketed !! my favourite Leazes buffonery To do that effectively NUFC have to be succesfull P.S. I never said we would spend the Carroll money, but as ever comprehension remains incomprehensible to you. my favourite Toonpack denial state, he knows that he said for months that he would "give Ashley until 1st September", so maybe he will clarify what exactly he was waiting to see happen ? I won't hold my breath on this one. How many times Now for the last time (I promise), I said that come the 1st September we would know his intentions, he would either spend or recoup. It would appear he is recouping . in other words, its taken you too, years to get around to realising I was right in what I have been telling you about his intentions, and he is pocketing the cash rather than backing his managers ?
  3. I guess the way Ashley sees it is that he's sticking his money in to balance the books so he's getting a shit load of free advertising by using the club. If that generates a good percentage of what he puts in then he's on a winner. One the other hand if a sponsor comes in and pays 10 mil a season he's still clawing back his dosh. It's been stated time and again they want the club to be self sufficient so naturally they are going to look at every angle to squeeze as much revenue as possible into the club or in this case into Ashleys personal wealth while SD is plastered everywhere. The reported 10m they get(should they flog the rights) won't be handed to Pards to spend on a player, it will, along with other revenues go into paying running costs etc. Just like the Carroll money has/will as im pretty sure there's a big chunk left. The best we can hope for now is a decent company come in and buy the rights so it gets rid of his fucking company logo but as I said either way Ashleys onto a winner The only saving grace could be any extra cash generated may allow us to hang onto/renew contracts for our important players Before anyone starts I hate the idea of renaming the ground and am no way making excuses for Ashley I'm just looking at it from his perspective
  4. Would people feel any different if a big, well respected company comes in and takes the naming rights/shirt deal?
  5. If he wants to generate business for his company he should plaster the name where his target demographic will see it. The dole office or on Jeremy Kyle. I hope this is leading to some kind of sale to the yanks. Do their stadiums have company names associated with them like the home depot not sure as don't watch them? Can't believe the fucking timing either, going into the hardest 3 games after an amazing start to the season, great planning. Any commercial director worth his salt could sell the advertising space/shirt deal for a mint without even touching the stadium Fucking Arseholes
  6. Aside from Man U,City and Chelsea take 3 or 4 first team regulars out of any team and they start to look a different prospect. Loosing Marvaux and Obertan at the same time is pretty bad luck as is Cabaye and Tiote
  7. Just knocked up a quick Tiote song to the tune of that's Amore He goes box to box and is strong as an ox that's Tiote He's black and he's hard guaranteed yellow card that's Tiote He came here from Twente runs till his tanks empty that's Tiote Hope he stays a long while and we get rid of Nile that's Tiote
  8. Great performance, made Stoke look exactly what they are, long ball playing thugs. BA is just awesome, the boy sure knows where the net is and also puts a good shift in Credit to Pardew for getting his tactics spot on
  9. Top marks to him, seems a real pro with a first class attitude
  10. That'd piss me off if I was a QPR supporter. Is it half obvious where his heart lies. Would have him back in a heartbeat tbh. I wouldn't, made his choice let him live with it. Relegation beckons
  11. Bit ironic one of Ashleys brands plastered across his back
  12. They offered him their new wolves right back sarnie but he declined as he had that cunt on toast Saturday lunch time
  13. You're coveniantly ignoring the pen Wolves shouldve had and the apparently good goal they had chalked off. If we're as open v Spurs they'll more than likely rip us a new one. Not that i'm not chuffed as nuts with results. Today was great. But chill the fuck oot man. We're at best a work in progress. Work that will be undone when the foundations collapse as soon as offers come in for Tiote, Cabaye, Collo, Krul etc. change the fucking record
  14. Fucking great individual goal, Jonas is on fire there
  15. he picks the team, chooses the tactics, motivates the players. Credit where credits due
  16. Carroll looking utter shit again, £35m thank you very much, buy him back for £10m, would start scoring again
  17. ta mate. Molyneux [?] is a ground I've never been to, so looking forward to it. Staying overnight, 8 of us in 2 cars. U kipping in the front seat or the back? Watch out for doggers
  18. Suspended pending investigation being reported on SSN
  19. He could have stayed if he wasn't greedy, I'm glad he and Barton are away tbh. Let's see how much fatter and slower Nolan is 3 years time while still picking up 60k a week, then they really will have something to moan about
  20. Tiote, Cabaye and Ben Arfa playing well and in tandem with each other is the stuff dreams are made of. I get all excited like a child inside thinking about it. We've gone backwards 25 years, they are nowt compared to Geremi, Butt and Emre. U shuddered reading those 2 names, Emre on his day was decent, shame his day was only twice a season. In Tiote and Cabaye we have a top quality midfield pairing that cost about 7mil. You couldn't even buy half a Henderson for that.
  21. Is the money Liverpool spending the owner's or is it borrowed against the club??
  22. Jonas' new deal (four years) gives the club some leverage in the transfer market, and avoids another Enrique scenario. I'd like to seem him deployed back out on the right (where Keegan first played him/his natural attacking position) with a fit Santon in his preferred RB slot. On paper that amounts to a right sided equivalent of the former Jose/Jonas defensive & ball-playing combination play on the left, something to build on at least. Jonas is not a good enough ball-striker to have checking back inside - he constantly creates a seperation gap between himself and his marker (so he isn't under pressure) but doesn't kill the oppostion. A valuable ball-playing & carrying outlet to have, to avoid the lump-it forward approach, coming out of defense but doesn't kill sides on the left. Jonas getting to the byline, and cutting it back into the box, on the right offers the most attacking potential. That cut-back ball, at pace to trailing midfielders lining up to shoot, is the most difficult delivery/final ball (from out wide) to deal with. Has been misused, at least from an attacking perspective, for the last 3 seasons. I think, what I'm wondering, is with these 3 players, why have they also signed Obertan and Marveau ? They are now overstocked up of this sort of player who can all play in these wide positions. I certainly think Ben Arfa, Jonas and SammyObi are talented players, so why ? Unless Marveau is the new David Ginola [unlikely and doesn't look it so far] Ben Arfa isnt a winger and Pardew has said he will be played behind the striker, Obertan is right sided, Jonas can play either side, Sammy is a striker and can play on the flank. So pretty different players really
