Our gaol against Pompy was an OG, Our goal at the stadium of plight was a fluke, we couldnt break down Derby for fucks sake, our goal at reading was an OG and to top it off we couldnt even get a shot on target, at home against Liverpool. In the past with our shite defences we have at least scored goals but now our defence is shit and our strikers are even shitter. With players like Viduka,Owen,Martins,Barton,Emre,Zog and Milner we should at least look half decent going forward but we look like we dont have a bloody clue and that has to rest firmly at the managers door for wanting to play kick and run Either he can change the tactics to suit the players or he can fuck off either way I`m not that fussed, I just want someone who can play entertaining football and show we are making in roads and have some tactical nouse too

If BS wants to insist on playing Owen up top then he needs to set up the team to play to Owens strengths, It`s no good hoofing the ball up top and hoping Viduka will win the headers and hold the ball up like Shearer used to cos he cant. Vidukas strenghth is with the ball at his feet, He will win some arial battles but not enough to warrent this style of play. We need to pass on the deck, move the ball quickly and get quality balls into the box and with the players we have I dont think that should be a problem but it seems to be. Everyone with a hole in their arse can see Zoggy is the best option on the left wing so BS plays him on the right wing or at LB As much as I dont rate Milner he`s the only option on the right wing, we need two wide players if we are going to play this 4-4-2 We know that Vid/Owen are going to be his first choice strike force while leaving the top scorer on the bench So the question is simple there two spots available in CM so he needs to choose either Butt,Geremi,Barton,Emre or Smith to fill these roles rather than shoe-horning people in at the expense of the team. Just a final thought, as we are lacking pace and drive in midfield why not try Oba in a Dyer type attacking midfield role, as much as I hated Dyer we seem to be missing what he had So I dont know about changing manager but I do know the manager needs to change his tactics

He would score a lot more if he got the service but having a bunch of cloggers instaed of creative midfielders isnt helping our cause

He needs to push Zoggy either into centre mid or left mid, he`s the only player that can go past people. Milner is being his usual useless self, Faye is looking pretty decent, unlucky to get booked. Smith doing well in the holding role but we dont look like creating much

Martins should be starting IMO, think Zog offers more going forward than Enrique but not sure about going the other way.

Depending on team selection but I reckon it will be tight first half but I can see us doing them 3-1 by the end, the Duke to be on fire

That Emre is handy like That team looks decent but there is no way that will be what BS picks, I reckon Smith will be in CM, Owen up front with Oba on the bench and I wouldnt be surprised if Milner gets a start too at the expense of Barton. Hope I`m wrong

That's pretty hard when the attitude is that there's only 4 teams better than us in the league. Look at the players we have and there is no excuse for some of the drivel served up recently. We have the POTENTIAL to be a top six side and its Sam`s job to realise that potential and get the most out of everyone by selecting the right teams, right formations and playing the sort of football that will get us results NOT getting turned over by Derby,Reading and a royal thumping at home to Pompy. I really want Sam to be a success but he isnt doing himself many favours at the moment and If Martins doesnt get a start on Saturday then he should expect some stick

If he wants time then he needs to start winning against inferior opposition, playing some decent football and picking players on form not reputation

Yep Jimbo, i agree that I thought Sam was the answer but over the last few games his selections/tactics have worried me. I thoyght we would have a steely defence and be a force going forward, not so though.
