I would play with wingers(on their prefered wings) and use a small man big man combo up top (Bellamy/Defoe with Ashton/Viduka). Arshavin would fill the creative role in midfield which we are crying out for I would be aiming for a top 8 this year, tighten up the defence and look to play an attacking, exciting style of football. Enrique has to start at LB allowing Zoggy to play LM, Smith and Owen up top for me as Viduka is too fuckin lazy to put the effort in to chase defenders down and Smith is a lot better battler than him which is a quality required for a game like this. Would also have Faye as our DM with Emre alongside him, Butt/Faye is too negative. Milner will have to play RM as we have no other choice. With this line up I think we will be ok, If BS plays hi usual shit then we could be in a spot of bother

Why do people keep saying Deco, there is now way he would come to Newcastle. We are a mid table side with a manager who plays unattractive football, no European football on the horizon and cant string a run of wins together. I would also look at a creative midfielder and centre back, also a striker as Owen/Viduka have poor injury records. I wouldnt mind flogging Martins to raise funds if we can get back what we paid, he`s dissapointed me this season with his poor touch and lack of composure/vision. I think given a run of games Vid/Owen could forge a good partnership if they get decent service. Cacapa is our best centre half and I would have Taylor above the lightweight Rozenhal. Enrique needs games, Beye has been my pick of our new defenders,Duff at his best is a great player, Zoggy has the atributes to play in an advanced midfield role, Butt is an experienced and solid defensice midfielder, Milner is the weak link in the midfield, plenty of effort but thats not enough, bring in Bentley down the right.

The performance against Chelsea was a vast improvement but some of the tactics were still questionable. The only thing that is consistant about the team is inconsistancy. Allardyce needs to sort out the best formation (4-4-2) and play the best players in their proper positions to get out of this situation BUT I think nothing much will change and Owen will be stuck back into the starting line up and played regardless of form, Zoggy will continue shoved at full back and Smith will be left in midfield Considering the FA cup is our only chance of winning anything this season the displays of the players should speak volumes for their commitment to both Sam and NUFC, lets see what happens eh?
