My point is we shouldnt be "making do" by playing people out of position or relying on the likes of Carr & Babayaro. Cant agree with that. I think he will play a big part in his right sided midfield position, He`s one of the only players we have that can see a killer pass or unlock a defense, hit the target with free kicks and beat the first man on corners. Di Canio came out and slated Roeder, He wasnt played when he was fit. Roeder puts his personal grievencies before the team. He should have learned his lesson. Teams are getting wise on how to play them and what they dont like, They may play the most attractive football in the league but they cant mix it and cant compete physically. I can see them have a poor season,Plus as someone said they will not be missing Henry thats like saying we didnt miss Shearer

Arsenal will struggle to finish in the top 6. Look at the teams who will be pushing for 4,5,&6. Us,Spurs,Everton,Man City(if they buy right),Villa (again if money well spent) and Arsenal. Most of these are teams on the up with new investors, new managers and in Spurs case a shed load of cash splashed. If I were a Gooner I would be worried this season and I dont think it would constitute a forward step for Oba. I reckon BS with play Vid,Owen & Oba in a 4-3-3 in home games and rotate them in away games, I can see Owen & Oba playing together as long as we are not just humping balls forward a`la Roeders tactics, if you can call them tactics.With Obas Electric pace and Owens finishing ability they should be able to tie defences in knotts

As for Luque as a replacement, dear oh dear. No they dont but a simple "I am happy here and am looking forward to the new season" rather than the say nowt and keep myself in the window stance. As for Luque being a replacement when did I say that?. What I did say was that Sam is making the right noises about him and I would trust his judgement. All we have seen from Luque has been a bit part player under a very poor manager, he was excellent at depo and there is no reason why he cant be under Sam, given the chance. Not many players would come back to pre-season early after their wedding. I predict he will be an asset this term which will go to prove further that Roedent was a complete waste of time.

mmmmm, call me synic but the timing of this announcement AFTER Arsenal and United have shown their hands in the transfer market. I`m happy he is staying but would have prefered this statement earlier plus maybe an offer to resign without his buyout clause would show commitment to the cause.

Well if anyone can pull it off Sam can, Look at some of the players he signed at Bolton, I agree none where at their peak but Im sure he fought offers from so called bigger clubs to land them, Im sure Anelka had better options thats for sure.

If we sign Deco he will obviously have more first team opportunities than at chelsea or Scousers. If he has been sold the club on the basis that we are building a team to rival the top 4,Money to invest and other quality players coming in,plus a decent wedge we may just get him.

Wont be long before he gets into a scrap with a team mate or goes out in London and gets a pasting. I doubt he will last more than a season.
