  1. I can’t see how this level of incompetence, lack of quality and luck don’t lead to relegation.
  2. Get in. I was about to post how the fuckJoselu is still on the pitch. I still wonder though.
  3. To me the atmosphere sounded as people were holding the breath as everyone was expecting him to miss.
  4. Those signings should have been brought in 4 weeks ago. It’s ridiculous having now to pin hopes on players brought in with nearly 2/3 of the season gone.
  5. There are several high profile criminal investigations here and it remains to be seen what is coming out of it. Because of the depths of the scandal I guess there will be some charges but it probably will take a couple of years even for trials to start.
  6. I think the interest from WBA is last week’s news. I doubt they will sign him as well. Also as Dortmund have sold Aubameyang and lost Yarmolenko for a couple of weeks because of an injury I doubt they will let Schürrle go. there hasn’t been anything about a transfer since last week
  7. I wait for CT’s book review first.
  8. Frankfurt is a shithole. Serves all the people right having to move there.
  9. You do understand that the “fudge” wording has to be quite precise for the likes of Germany because otherwise there will be fierce opposition to any “bespoken” trade agreement. You did take notice of the warning Mr Prassek aired a couple of days ago, didn’t you. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-leftovers-talks-dates-germany-peter-ptassek-angela-merkel-a8172541.html
  10. He doesn’t care about it. As long as Sports Direct gets media coverage by being associated to Newcastle and regardless of the league his ownership fulfills its purpose. He is not willing to speculate to accumulate but just to keep the club running.
  11. “Talks about a transfer were exhausting, frustrating and a complete waste of time.”
  12. It’s going to look like “planning “ again... It’s been a predictable outcome though.
  13. I don’t think there is a lot in this one. Schüttle lost his way a bit in recent years, partly down to injuries. He looked like leaving the club in Autumn but has been back in the team lately. Also, if Dortmund sell Aubameyang, I can’t see them letting Schürrle go out as well.
  14. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/mike-ashley-tells-rafa-benitez-11886877 The reasons keep changing...
  15. I am not so sure. I consider it as probably the first step of retraction because he couldn’t find someone paying the price he wanted. But of course it isn’t his fault because all his intentions were good but the other side not making a bid ... err ... not making a bid without clauses ... err ... being nasty and not letting him enjoy a cheap curry on his own. And btw https://www.theguardian.com/business/2017/sep/05/sports-direct-fails-2016-pledge-zero-hours-shirebrook-mike-ashley
  16. I do not take anything Ashley comes out with with a pinch of salt but as a probable lie. That is why am not sure he really is looking to sell the club if not for obscene money. Otherwise he would have accepted one of the offers or actively tried to get a deal one. it is the same as ever he pretended to do something in the interest of the club, fans manager then waits for everything to fade out. Whatever happened to his promise to increase working conditions at Sportsdirect? Has there really been some significant change? I doubt so.
  17. Ah, the plausible version of Staveley stalking him unwantedly. Though, if so, wouldn’t it be more a sign of her intention to get a deal done by seeking direct contact with the seller.
  18. It’s getting worse literally every hour. If a deal with PCP was dead to Ashley already 2-3 weeks ago he should have told the bidder then and not waiting until the second half of the transfer window. It is also the same disgusting antics of not informing the other side of your decision he has done a few times in the past, namely the non-appointment of Shearer. It is too ridiculous and stupid to call it a tactic tbh. Also, if it has been clear that the future of the club is his own responsibility for some time then the lack of transfer activity and lack of clarity in regards to funds to the manager is morally criminal. I thought I would never wish ill to a person, but I am on the brink of it.
