  1. Referenda have been proven to be stupid ideas when they paved the way for the Nazis here 100 years ago. That’s why they got abolished. Even back then it got proven how easily people can get misled by demagogues . The Brexit example should be the final nail in the coffin of referenda tbh. Not to mention the stupidity to let women and the likes of CT vote as well...
  2. Where’s Noeli’s full time assessment or is he still be busy finishing his half time rant?
  3. Nice article about Viana too, even saying something about his position... https://www.planetfootball.com/in-depth/hugo-viana-on-turning-down-liverpool-for-sir-bobby-life-at-newcastle/
  4. What a shame. He was a fantastic player but neither was I convinced of his coaching abilities nor his alleged behaviour. His allegiance with the current regime was questionable too. Whenever I will think about him I will try to forget about the last two decades then.
  5. Project fear! Don't worry, you’ve still got horses as long as you do not have to eat them.
  6. There were three offers IIRC, one cash offer that was way below his asking price and others with clauses which would have seen him getting close to the money he wants in the end. He also complained about the negotiations getting nowhere but not answering to the offers. He then went public to criticise Staveley seeking publicity. I still think he is just shifting goal posts to look like selling and appeasing the majority of fans just to make sure he can always blame others for deals falling through.
  7. Also on the other hand, if there is truth in it that Kenyon and Cook couldn’t raise the money to make a bid it seems a bit stupid to me to go into negotiations. It would be bit like deciding to exit a political and economical union only to think about the consequences later though...
  8. I hope they are as spoilt as possible and just look for some quick cash to burn. Otherwise our only realistic option to get rid of him is follow the example of Sunderland. As long as he is alive and the club is profitable to him he won’t sell.
  9. Perfect time to leak it to the press too while still being in a relegation fight. Well there is still hope of him drinking himself to death then...
  10. I’ve seen worse fouls on keepers not given...
  11. I don’t think we will score today even if we play until midnight.
  12. Sad to see that Glen really is as thick as I feared... https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/former-newcastle-manager-glenn-roeder-15895724
  13. What a farce. Everything is just about party politics nowadays.
  14. I’d loved it if Ritchie had made it 3-0 in the 97th Minute only for Burnley to get relegated on goal difference by a single goal. Dyche moaning about time wasting when a player gets treated for a bleeding head wound would deserve it.
  15. From what I gather here is that there definitely seems to be an interest but it’s not sure how far negotiations have developed .
  16. It’s been reported on various news outlets down here stemming from a sports channel. I am not sure if there is something in it, but don’t think the fee mentioned would be right.
  17. I think this kind of obstructing another player is a foul regardless if it’s a keeper and in the six yard box.
  18. He’s as well obstructing Dubravka gaining height as using his arms properly. It’s not even up for discussion if this is a foul imho. But as NJS said it’s totally in line with a lot of decisions the complete evening.
  19. He was easily going to catch it, but couldn’t because of the clear obstruction. Always a foul to me tbh.
  20. With the acquisition and sale of the property the fat cunt makes sure that his nasty ownership that only serves himself can never be forgotten. Great.
  21. Won’t matter as going abroad will become too much of a hassle anyway...
