My bad i misread it thinking 'player of the month'. Anyways isnt it a bit early for player of the season? Even still Nolan would not be my choice at all.....player of the season would have to go to Enrique, Coloccini and Carroll in that order. Nolans goals have been a bonus, a welcome bonus but all to many times he has contributed fuck all else...that said he was pretty creative AND combattive against Cardiff and Coventry when in the middle with Guthrie.

Agent reveals that Newcastle rejected Zinedine Zidane

Add to the list Luis Enrique and Ronaldinho and in recent times Modric. Not quite the same standard but didnt we also have Brad Freidel and Olef Mellberg on trial too? Makes you wonder like. -
His goals have been vital don't get me wrong, but his general play has been extremely poor. I'd have gone for Enrique, Coloccini or Harper all ahead of him. Why not Carroll, Lovenkrands or Guthrie for that matter? They ALL contributed MORE in the last month. Baffling.

Johnson, Agbonlahor and Bent I like that team...Did think about Hart but he is yet to get a cap no? Also J.Cole i like but can he do a job on the left? More use in a 433. Is it just me but i fuckin hate Lampard....most overated player in the PL for years.

CT we are a huge club with massive potential so if tapped into by a good owner we could be successful one day. My worry is we will always be known as the also-rans or the sleeping giants. How ironic though that the shittest owner we've had could actually bring us some silverwear? ha fuckin ha

According to Booby Moncur (at the game) it was the players that didnt turn up, in particular Jonas. You're a parody of yourself tbh. Let me spell it out for you. It is evident to anyone who watches him play that Nicky Butt is finished. Chris Hughton put Butt on for no apparent reason. Butt came on and gifted the opposing team a needless free-kick from which they scored. What else is left to say? That's even before talking about how he decided to put Simpson on the wrong side when we had a perfectly good left-back on the bench and brought on the absolutely worthless Leon Best (and let's not forget it was Hughton who bought the plodder in the first place) just when we needed urgency. He doesn't know what he is doing. Hughton is not a good manager and it is only by virtue of us having a significantly better squad than the rest of the dross in this division that we are top. A bag of rocks could do his job at this point. He will be caught out in truly monumental fashion when we return to the PL (just as he was when he was "managing" the squad in Kinnear's absence) and he will be out of a job by December when we are getting humped week in and week out, and the fans begin to turn on Fat Mike again and he needs another sacrificial lamb. I don't need a crystal ball to see this and neither do you. Hughton is no good. We need to add a real manager to our wish list of "midfielders who can actually pass, strikers who can actually score, an owner who actually knows how to run a club." p.s. Jonas was one of our best players on the night and had a class assist to put us ahead. Take off your blinders man. Absolutely spot on!

Tut...game in hand, game in hand, game in fuckin hand.....we will lose this bastard game in fuckin hand!! Well...i hope not
-
Didnt help him against Barnsley like......hes just pure shit man. My point was that those are the only type of game he should come on, not that he'll be guaranteed to produce. I know what you ment mate. Annoying how it looked like we had shifted out MOST of the shit underperformers only now to be lumbered with this useless fuck for 3 years!

Absolutely. Today was a reminder to some of just how tactically inept CH actually is and his sheer lack of ability to influence a game with clever substitions. Nicky fucking Butt? Leon wankstain Best? Fuckin Hell man...why have Jose and Routledge on the bench if they are not fit enough for 45mins? CH in the PL? Hahaha FUCK OFF At least Forest got beat
-
fuck sake man...why not bring routledge on?

--Harper-- --Simpson--Hall--Coloccini--Kadar-- --Pancrate--Guthrie--Nolan--Gutierrez-- -----Carroll---Lovenkrands----- Subs: Krul, Enrique, Routledge, Taylor, Best, Butt and Ranger 2-1

Is there a small river kicking about? Much appreciated

The temptation to leave an arseprint on Dekka's office window next week may be to much to resist Haha quality stuff fella
-
If this team starts then id expect us to tonk them... --Harper-- --Simpson--Williamson--Coloccini--Enrique-- --Routledge--Guthrie--Nolan--Gutierrez-- -----Carroll--Lovenkrands----- Chances are Routledge mite not be upto spead and Smith mite be back according to some sources even though he hasnt trained Pancrate for Routledge and Nolan upfront if thats the case meaning probably a scrappy 2-1 win or draw. Fucking go for it Chris!
-
I think thats the point?
-
Dont think Routledge will start, probably come off the bench at some point. Jose mite start but again if not then id be happy enough with Kadar stepping in. 2-1 win for us...Carroll and Lovenkrands

who do you think will cut it in the premiership?

I think sometimes people forget he used to play in la liga and seria a like. Before anyone says it...so did Luque. -

That's crazy talk. Carrick is to Guthrie what Winona Ryder is to Fizz off Corrie. Guthrie's passing is very erratic, I've seen him have games where 5 yard passes prove difficult. Fair enough he is no Carrick but i agree with Chez that he can play that "role" picking the ball up deep and looking to spread play. Yes at times his passing is inconsistent but he is finding some form and i think many will agree that should he get a sustained run in CM then he will only get better and more consistent! -

I see alot of people now are swaying towards the view that the squad we have no is pretty near to being good enough to stay up in the PL with a few new players. Interesting when the vast majority on here not so long ago were saying we'd need a whole new first team. Some have been overly negative like. By no means is this a squad to get above 10th but its a squad with a few additions that COULD get close to mid-table in our 1st season back....THEN we need a fair few players to make the step up. Call it premature but at the start of next season id be hoping that within 3 years we would be in a position to challenge for europe again. -

He was the one busting his arse trying to get back to cover for Simpson's crap backheader to Coloccini on the weekend. Pretty good if you ask me considering we were 6-0 up at the time and there was three defenders in a deeper position than him. He's not a top player because he lacks explosiveness and pace. In some ways I liken him to Milner in that if he puts in the effort he's talented enough to be a very effective player. Ranger has looked decent in the minimal run outs that he has got, but so far has lacked the finishing that will be required for a weak side in the Premiership (have to take advantage of as many of our chances as possible). Dr Gloom I hope your name is indicative of your outlook, because your suggestion that we're going to need more than three new first teamers to survive means that we'll be going down for sure next season. A good way to look at the value of our squad this season is to compare it to the likes of the mid-lower tabled side sin the league. Surprisingly there's quite a few that I think we could compete with currently, though I'm not up to date with many of the lesser known players in these sides. The squad we have rite now IS better than... Hull Pompey Burnley Wolves Bolton IMO 3 of them go down and lets say WBA and Forest come up with us...we are better prepared than them to stay up. But make no mistake i do think we need a fair few new players, and should we get in what we need we COULD stay up comfortably....ok....few beers and im all accadaccafied!
