did Caulkin reply? Why has the board not been renamed Newcastle Online 2 yet by the way??
-
I think he wants to be a moderator of Toontastic, judging by today's crack, it might help everyone get along better?
-
I'd rather win the Europa or the FA Cup not League Cup though.
-
There's humour to be found there though.

Ant would be a millionaire if he had a quid every time he's been called a S.I.C. in the last month. Today's four are no different. No one can question his commitment to driving home a point though surely?
-
Think it will be a surprisingly good game, and we'll win 2-3. As I said though I don't care if we lose. Shit cup.
-
Nar they've halfed the sports bar behind where I sit, to fit boxes in.

@Leazes_Mag FOLLOWS YOU NUFC matchgoer for 47 years. Not fooled or brainwashed by the NUFC bullshitters. Tells it like it is, much to the annoyance of 10 year olds from Singapore. Newcastle
-
Three games gone though, and where they're situated is the worst place for boxes, so you're 32k pro rata shout might be right

Well I turned out at 2, and had my last pint at 8, that's fuck all over 6 hours. I've spilt more doon me top.

We've got more chance of winning the FA Cup that any of the rest. We're cursed in the League Cup so forget about that, we can't win the Premiership because Ashley is the only billionaire in football who won't spend his money, and the Europa League has Tottenham, Atletico Madrid, Anzhi, Inter Milan, Napoli, Lyon, OM (imagine if Barton came here with them), and PSV, all of whom are better than us, plus we're playing our reserves and there'll be other good sides dropping out the Champions League.
-
It's not my fault old cunts can't drink, my view of the match is superb, I had about 8 or 9 pints all day and I was sober as a judge, I was as well.
-
Some rare good points to be fair, but we were still shite.
-
"its a route in to Europe" well who gives a fuck, we play our reserves in Europe anyway.
-
In all my time watching Newcastle, I can't think of a game where a defeat will feel less important than this one. If they scrapped the League Cup I wouldn't care less. 36 years since we played in a Semi Final let alone Final.

What is noticeable is the people who are least concerned about the performance were many miles away from Newcastle following the game on Radio 5, www.iraqgoals.com or Sky Sports News, rather than the people who had to sit through it.

http://www.parliament.uk/documents/commons/lib/research/rp99/rp99-111.pdf Happy face will put his eye oot when he sees all of the "interesting" statistics in this link, but go down to XI, I'll be honest it surprised me that unemployment in the 70s was so low, it was largely 2% for the whole decade that's fucking fantastic, then reached a peak of 12% under Thatcher in 1986, although as anyone would concede changes did need making for the long term of the country.
-
Of course it was painful, but ultimately she was right in moving away from those industries. We make next to fuck all in this country now which is sad, but in the mean time London has become economically the most important city in the world, and even though we're in recession no one can deny generally the standard of living is a lot higher now than it was in 1982, and as you agreed with me there, we HAD to change what we did in this country, or we'd end up like Poland.

aye I would've still said it was a poor performance and a boring game, if he'd have scored the penalty, looking like a dick on a message board doesn't concern me, expressing my opinion is my sole purpose for being in this thread. We lost 4-1 to Fulham under Souness, and we played as well as we did that whole season. A fair score would've been 6-2 to the toon, and I came away from the match devastated with the result but full of praise for the performance. Sometimes you get zero luck, other times you get loads, we didn't really get loads yesterday, and while winning IS everything, when you're paying good money you want a better product than what we saw yesterday, in what was a dire advertisement for the Barclays Premier League. I got a B in my Economics A-Level I was fucking knocking one out because I did little revision, and my course work was largely shite. That said I'm not economically or politically minded at all to any great degree, I was a baby when Thatcher came to power and I was still very much a child when she left office in 1991. I don't get involved in great political debates, because while I'm interested I don't hold the strength of opinion or knowledge that many people do. Having lived through the 80's as a child, my father was in and out of work, more in than out and when he was in, he made fantastic sums of money largely through the building of large offshore oil rigs. Tyneside would've died a painful death, if we'd never have found oil in the early 70's, maybe the UK would to a lesser extent. So I'm aware of the hardship we faced highlighted by many TV shows of the time like AWP. There was a definitely north/south divide - economically it is even provable there was. The North largely ended at Sheffield, and the South began in Derbyshire, and for these two areas there were vast chasms in income, unemployment levels, and private and public investment. However, the country couldn't go on being dictated by out of date industries like coal mining. There had to be a change in the things we did in this country, and the areas that suffered the most were all in the North because of the very nature of the industries in these areas, that as I've said had a life span. Things had to change, she changed them, and the country gradually prospered as a whole as a result of the changes she implemented. I don't see how that can be argued with, the sad thing is the North East saw the worst of those painful times.

I watched a foreign stream in the summer. In fact watching on telly is different. You don't see players body language as well, you don't see the shape of the team and the lack of movement doesn't hit you in the eyes as much. Like on Wednesday I won't be an ATAG, and my perspective of the match watching on telly will be inferior to someone who is actually there. You would make a very good solicitor and that's not taking the piss, it's a compliment. You can put a superb case up for anything regardless how wrong the facts make you appear.
