  1. Not with Man United (away) coming after this game
  2. Many on here are fickle and some of your comments air fair, but barton came with baggage fukd up yet again and has strung together extremely shit performances, which you say are because of fitness concerns. How do you know that he wasn't fit? The fact that he has played shitter than i could imagine as in he hasn't done anythin noticable for about 10 games. The penalty at fulham was the only positive thing he has done this season in my eyes and the sooner we see the back of him the better. Yes he has talent, but he has been shite and has overstepped the mark in terms of discipline.
  3. Im split on this tbh, if we give him funds and he doesn't deliver then everyone will want his back as soon as possible, even worse than what the case is now. If he does get the funds he might make panic buys and put us in the shit. He could find some real gems and finish in the top half and push on for next season. However, after looking at our remaining games i don' t think we will do too well and 10th-13th looks more and more guaranteed. So would buying players who will be thrown into games in the middle of a season against top teams (looking at up and coming fixtures) be any good for their newcastle careers. With the acquisition of one or two top players, we could push on to top 7 but we shouldn't expect immediate top form from them. This has puzzled me for the last month at least lol.
  4. Great looks like we will be floundering more than 50k a week if we get brown but good news on fattison leaving
  5. He would've signed by now if he wanted to stay there. If they get a CB, they will let him go. It's not if they get a cb i dnt think, it's because of gary nev's fitness concerns that alex ferguson isn't letting him go.
  6. I disagree with most an reckon ben haim would be a poor signing. Every chelsea game i have watched hes been slow of his feet, very poor at challenging for the head and let it bounce to often.
  7. Shit news just keeps on rolling in..........
  8. Ben Haim is shit, has been shockin for chelsea of late
  9. Zoggy's gash in the centre though IMO. I'd quite fancy him to do a job in the hole. He's probably the only player we've got who can run at people and supply a half decent pass. Bit gay there
  10. Basicly im still awake after alot of caffeine so ive decided to name my first 11, the team i believe could be most effective. Also, ive added a few positions available for incoming transfers if any. What's your best 11 and maybe FS will give this a read some time . GK: Given (for obvious reasons) LB: Enrique (if he's any good, if not sign a decent one in january) CB: Taylor (think if he plays alongside a more cultured centre back which we haven't seen here in a while then it will help him develop into a better player) CB: Cacapa (had a shocker against porstmouth that may continue to be mentioned but other than that has been solid and smart in the moves he has made) RB: Beye (Been our best player this season by a country mile, may need to purchase a youngster as a backup) LM: Duff (looks to be getting back to what we hope form, will hopefully improve game by game. Offers more attacking threat than most in our team) DM: Faye (looked solid at the weekend, likes playing there and is one built fucker. Adds alot of strenght to the midfield and aireal ability) AM: N'zogbia (He has said on numerous occasions he would like to play in a more central role, if sam does not wish to play him there then buy arshavin) RM: Milner (consistent hard worker, but still needs improvement on final delivery) ST: Owen (Class act, great finisher, just hope he stays fit) ST. Martins (Hit or miss, but hits more than every striker in our team of late, poor when lacking confidence but hopefully he will regain it on the ANC) This amounts to the following: ------------Given--------------- Beye, Taylor, Cacapa, Enrique ----------- Faye ---------------- Milner-----------------------Duff -----------N'zogbia-------------- -----Owen------Martins
  11. Loved how andy gray predicted that laursen being marked by the small o'hara was a serious deficiency in the defense. The bang laursen scores from the corner haha. i told u so!!
  12. I would also like to see kenwyne Jones walk through the door but that seems highly unlikely.
  13. Out: Carr Get rid of the final piece of the deadwood at the back(maybe ramage should be included in that bracket). He's no pace, is virtually shocking at everything and really should not be plying his trade in the premier league anymore. We probably wouldn't get too much money if any for him, but i would take what comes our way. Ameobi I know martins is leaving in january for the african cup of nations but this shouldn't act as a detterant for him leaving. Big Sam must realise hes not good enough for the premier league and renins me of a typical championship striker and it is his likely destination for the remainder of his career imo. We could probably get a side like norwich to stump up 2 million which is about right for a player of hsi calibre. In Arshavin Has played well when ive seen him and heard he has attacking flair in abundance. He might be a flop but its a risk we may need to take. He also mentioned a couple of weeks back that he would be interested in a move to the premier league, so why not attempt to purchase him. Ive not heard a figure constantly mentioned by 5-7million pounds sounds about right and hopefully he can be the link between our dour midfield and our potentially lethal attacking force. Agbonlahor Im not doubting in the slightest that there is relly little chance of us purchasing him. However, with a very big offer of say around 8-10m, i think aston villa would take it quite seriously. He has an abundance of pace, attacking flair and would have no problem with adapting to the english league as hes played in it for the last two years regulalry and this season has already bagged alot. I live in hope more than expectation that we will sign any big players in this farce of a window.
  14. Don't you respect the way Allardyce is sticking with his plan for Enrique? He's given the 21 year old a taste of what it's like in the premier league with five or so starts, shown him how fast it is and how a couple of wobbles can spell disaster. Then he's completely withdrawn him to concentrate on integrating with the squad and the area rather than pushing him to show that he can cope immediately. Lesser managers have ruined expensive signings at Newcastle by forcing the issue with them and not seeing their obvious potential reached. Under the pressure he's had, for Allardyce to stick to his guns for the good of the player and the good of the club rather than risking him and giving in to the fans to loosen the noose round his own neck earns my respect. Another expensive flop is the last thing we want. None of us can know if he's ready, Allardyce watches him in training every day and until he can keep up with Viduka and Owen or unbalance Martins he won't have a hope against other teams' strike forces. I'm hoping he could keep up with that fat lazy shite prior to joining us... if not it's hopeless
  15. That shows how much of a fucking idiot FS was Also shows how big a dick oliver is as well. Why the fuck is he even mentioning this shite?
  16. Fuck me, faye is one hard brick. He didn't look like he tried hard to header it lol. Hope smith has forgotten he plays for newcastle
  17. haha just saw a headline on itv.... "Reds fire blanks as city stand firm". This referring to the 0-0 draw lol cracked me up enough to revisit this thread lol
  18. Haha exactly, it's not like ashley is in kemsley's arse is it? The article sounds like a shite crime scene, clutching at straws trying to link things together
  19. We would be buying Kenwyne Jones!! Shearer loves the guy Wouldn't stop prasing the bloke week after week on MOTD
  20. And this artcile contridicts one from it's own publishment. This article says Ashley won't be worried by the 50m required to install a new manager and backroom staff while the other article states - "So Ashley has to decide whether to stick or twist with Allardyce because of the huge sums involved." Great Journalism
  21. Sounds like ashley has absolutely no faith in allardcye and if it didn't cost to sack him, he'd be off right away.
  22. nzogbia was the best player on the pitch today by a country mile in my eyes. Constant attacking threat and gave his all the full 90. I think everyone will see the much improved performance but it still doesn't eradicate those shocking games against wigan and derby. Follow on from this performance and give the same work ethic and attacking flair for the remainder of the season and il be pretty happy.
