I hate Eastenders, but I've been watching it tonight so that I have a clue what everyone is going on about at graft tomorrow. It's absolutely terrible.

Sachins is the nicest Indians I've been to in Newcastle, and I'd say I've been to a lot of them. Akbars was alright but it was a free meal so I didn't really consider the value aspect of it. I remember the waiter being overbearing though which put me off, he was permanently hovering around the table.

I've only listened to half of the second part so far but it has been pretty interesting. I find some episodes of This American Life are a bit hit and miss but I can usually tell within the first 10 minutes or so whether I'm going to like each one.

Went for pancake burritos with chicken, cheese, peppers, onion and jalapenos. Bloody lovely. I feel sorry for anyone having crappy old sugar and lemon on theirs.

I love the US Office. It's one of my favourite shows. I blubbed at the final episode.

Is that the cop one? I've listened to part 1 but not the second part yet.

I had a similar experience at The Who in December, there was a pause between songs as they explained the anecdote that had led to whatever song was playing next and the couple behind, who were mortal drunk, continued their excessively loud conversation about something completely unrelated to the gig, to the point no one could hear a word the band members were saying. I was just about to completely flip out and have a go at them but thankfully the bloke to the right of me cracked about 0.01 seconds before me and told them to shut the fuck up. They'd been at it for the whole thing and were in danger of ruining everyone's night.

It was worse than CT like, absolutely grim.

We eventually went there last night. Top recommendation, the pizza was outstanding. We just shared one and sat in, if we'd been more drunk we genuinely would've walked back up to the counter and ordered another one immediately, it was that nice. Edit - here's their FB page: https://www.facebook.com/pizzeriaitalianewcastle

Yeah everything looked incredible. I only caught the first one by accident too so that was a nice surprise.

Any food fans been watching A Cook Abroad? I've quite enjoyed the first two.

A station at Camperdown would be handy for me. It'll never happen though. Far too much completely new line would need to be put in place. It'd be much better if they focused their resources on improving the current shambles of a system.

I'd get cocky and just start topping anyone that annoyed me, I think. I enjoyed most of it until the last series, since generally even a poorer season of Dexter is better than many other TV shows.

Well then you're champion. I'm sort of pleased it's sold out here because I would've been tempted to get a ticket and I can't really justify the cost.

Placebo is sold out in Newcastle, other venues still available.

I was tempted but I heard it had sold out recently. Went to relive my teen years at Korn & Slipknot the other day and thought it was very good. Got absolutely nothing lined up the rest of the year though so need to have a look to see what's coming up.

I've fancied trying yoga for a while but I know I'll be bloody awful at it. My core strength is really bad though and needs a lot of work. The scales politely suggested I'm 23.6% body fat today, which is rather generous of them. I've definitely gained more fat in the last few months through a worse diet and more alcohol but I weigh the same and my clothes all still fit so it's not the end of the world, I just need to be a bit more strict. Once I've eaten the shedloads of chocolate I got for Christmas, that is.

I hate it when you open a menu somewhere and there are pages and pages to choose from. LESS IS MORE.

They've probably improved like, it was 2010 or 2011 when I went. I just never felt the urge to go back when there are so many other places to try and we'd had such a poor experience.
-
I thought that was awful when I went, although it was years ago. The food was average and the service was absolutely abysmal. Also my friend went and was ill for days afterwards.

Anyone doing Restaurant Week? I'm going to Cafe 21 since I haven't been in years and it always used to be spot on. It was going to be Blackfriars (for the same reason) but I wasn't very taken by their menu. It seems a bit daft going somewhere I've been before but oh well.

I've been watching Arne Dahl on Netflix. It's another Swedish crime drama but has some slightly odd elements at times. It's a load of 2 parters, with each episode 1.5 hours long but it's developing into a decent show.

I got weighed yesterday and escaped with only a 1lb gain since 18 December, which is ridiculous given the amount I've eaten and drank and how little I've exercised. Judging by how quickly the chocolates which someone brought into the office have disappeared, I don't think anyone I work with is even pretending to go on a January diet this year.

HSBC Shame there's fuck all in my account like.
