  1. Signed up. the teams in my work league hence the crap name.
  2. In any case, just because top 4 is out of our reach at present doesn't excuse completely giving up on trying to hold onto decent players, which is more or less what the club has done. It's no good pointing to offering Enrique a 'lucrative' contract either since, in the context of the situation at the club, anyone decent is probably going to look to move on at some stage. I think as much as I occasionally wear rose tinted glasses, others wear the opposite (whatever they are). During the last season. Tiote offered new deal / accepted Carrol offered new deal / accepted Ben Arfa offered new deal / accepted Barton offered new deal / accepted then declined / basket case tbf Nolan offered new deal / wanted more and club probably right not to offer big long deal to potential bench warmer given they had Cabaye lined up. Enrique offered new deal / But had made mind up last summer to be away. Lots of other players such as Shane etc tied up on 5 year deals. Like statistics we can all put our own spin on all of this. Tiote will be sold. Carroll has been sold. Ben Arfa will be sold. Barton hasn't been offered a contract. Nolan says the club reneged on promises made to him and was sold. Enrique has been sold. The kids on 5 year deals are on low wages. As I said, we can all put spin on it and play guessing games, which is why I was sticking to plain old simple facts. Carroll has been sold. Barton hasn't been offered a contract. Nolan says the club reneged on promises made to him and was sold. Enrique has been sold. The kids on 5 year deals are on low wages. Better?

I can play that game Best forward on our books last season - SOLD Best full back on our books - SOLD Top scorer last season - SOLD One of best players of season - Can leave for FREE
  4. No real beef with him leaving. He wanted away from the end of last season that was clear. Liverpoool turned his head and it's easy to see they are pushing to get back up there. We're not. He's held a fairly respectful silence over the whole thing bar that one outburst on twitter, which in a way I dont mind that he done. Im not about to thank him for sticking around when we went down etc, before then he hadnt been that great and nee one wanted him. Took him a while to settle but the last two seasons he's been one of the best LBs we've had. If we had shown an ounce of ambition (there's that word again..) he'd have stayed imo. But he's gone, like many before him (and many to follow Im sure). Time to get behind the next bloke.
  5. Been linked for a week now I think. Cant see it myself.
  6. Careers - but they'll never be paid a penny. He's just taking advantage. Fucking hell! I wonder if I could put an add up? Wanted : Professional Runner, run to shops for milk, make coffee and so on. Huge step on to the massive corporate ladder. No pay but excellent career progression.
  7. I don't agree with this at all. If they had 3PF&T then surely they're covered. If they '3rd party only' cover then surely this is a financial decision they made and they should deal with the consequences? I doubt criminal damage is covered under 3PF&T. Inclined to agree with you about the 3rd party point though-you take a pretty obvious risk when you go with the absolute scantest form of insurance cover. Easy for you to say with your company car mind. Fella at work reckons that under the 'riot act' any costs for damage incurred should be footed by the police. It will be. Aye but I think the Police are insured for it, not sure if its from their budget?
  8. I think Rapey struggles with percentages. Howmanheyman: "Pardew talks shite......100%" I thought it was 3-4 weeks at the time of injury. This day just gets better and better. I'm still at a loss as to how we could sell our only LB without getting a replacement in. We don't owe Liverpool anything, we can make them wait and if Enrique got injured on Saturday then too bad. It was. I'm probably way off the mark but I honestly believe Ben Arfa's crocked for the duration of his career. One 50/50 away from injury at any time. He'll always be like this. I'd prefer the manager of my football club to tell the truth initially and be pissed off rather than feed us lip-service then back track and apologise when the inevitable lie is uncovered. As a manager, Pardew must think himself incapable of achieving anything. We were class under Keegan and Sir Bobby. Were the 2 teams great? IMO, No. But the manager knew about the size of the club and that passion and belief filtered down to the players who believed they were better than others. Pardew's got these lot in a state of 'happy to be also rans'. He, Ashley and Llambias are a disgrace to this fine football club. It's a shame Pardew couldn't be a man and stand up. Completely agree. When he took over we had a solid side playing for each other and the spirit was good, we had a lad who took the number 9 shirt and thrived on it, he had service and help from players like Barton and Nolan and did our new Chancer of a manager think about shooting for the stars and pushing for Europe? Did her fuck! He's been bleating about safety from day one, it never once crossed his mind to push on. He's been singing from the AshLlamb hymn sheet from the minute he got here. When Pardew took over we had a better side than Liverpool - now we are nowhere near them. This window all we needed was to use some of the Carroll money to replace him. do that at the start of the window, spend £15M maybe and get a decent forward and we'd be in a much better position. Do that and its as unlikely Jose would want to leave (or maybe still, who knows). Let Nolan stay on more years and still bring on Ba and Marv on a free. Id consider that even moving on. Cabaye for Nolan is an unknown atm so need to wait and see. As it stands, I cant help but think we want rid of the highest earners. Fuck all to do with anything else bar that. Replace with cheaper wages if replace at all. Bring through more kids. Total lack of ambition. Wouldnt surprise me to see just the Jose money go on a LB and a Forward with none of the £35 being spent at all.
  9. That @nufcfans wind me up at times. Not sure why I still follow. Im sure they just retweet stuff to get a reaction. Reckons he just lets other see whats being said, but surely thats what the #nufc tag is for?
  10. I'm not that arsed about her though I know Stevie was pissed with her over something ages ago. She's harmless imo, though I have seen some blokes letching over her like. Thought Stevie was gonna have a stroke the way she was winding him up like with what she was posting I think it's best for your health if you've blocked her like Err she wasn't referring to me - oh dear Darrell pmsl You don't normally get the wrong end of the stick so spectacularly. She mentioned people saying she's an attention seeker long before I accused her of it. She is a depressive irrelevance who believes she's a somebody when what she is, is the twitter equivalent of someone permanently scraping their fingers down a blackboard. In fact half of my timeline this morning were lasses saying what a fucking idiot she is. Blokes letching over her did you see her accuse two lads of wanking over her pic, looks like she's just had a bad dose of brown in Kings Cross that pic. So sort out your facts son eh She must've had an army of people referring to her as a mug, cos that's what she is, I'm embarrassed to support the same club as that boiler. Not sure what bit you're saying I'm mistaken in? Not sure what you mean by she wasnt referring to you, I never said she was? You've lost me mate When I say she was winding you up, I didnt mean by posting about you I meant with stuff she was posting in general. Im saying it was winding you up. There's pitying someone and there's being wound up. I'm astonished a man of your undoubted intelligence can't see what a clear and present attention seeker she is. She must've mentioned her professionally done pic about 20 times. Didnt say she didnt crave attention. If people give it to her thats up to them, certainly wouldnt let it wind me up though. Like I say Im not that arsed. If I dont like what someone says on there, I just unfollow. I thought you were wound up as you were banging on about it for a while and retweeting her etc. I did see her say she had her pic done a couple of times. Loads of people have though so I didnt see a big deal about it. A lot goes right over my head though esp if Im just skimming what people have said. Undoubted intelligence, you do flatter me Stevie

  13. Dont think so. all enclosed now iirc.
  14. Credit where its due like, spot on the club doing that.
  15. Good post. Though the one thing that doesnt sink with me. I was brought up in benwell from '72 until '79 when I moved to West Denton. It's fair to say I lived in a rough area. I done fuck all at school bar daydream. I fit your example perfectly. Encouraged by my Father to go out and work and that training schemes were slave labour. I got one O level (Actually a GCSE, the first year they were done) and that was in Art. I wanted to resit Maths as I just missed out. Went back to 6th form but left in Jan to get a job and earn money. Didnt go to uni. Dont have a criminal record. Stolen from a shop once as a teen and got caught. Thank fuck I did tbh. Otherwise Im your typical bloke who stays on the right side of the law (bar speeding, but thats another discussion). I now run my own business through nowt but hard graft. I never felt like society owed me anything. Never felt hard done by even when I had my first flat and no carpets, no bed. I slept on a sofa that I was given and washed my clothes in the bath. This was when I was about 19 and in Newbiggin Hall. First job I earned £6500 a year. Never once did I think "fuck this, I deserve better so I'll steal it". Hard graft, head down. Everything I have I've earned. Was on the dole once for 2 weeks and hated it. So, all this talk of "theres no opportunities" and "I dont get paid to go to Uni" or whatever. I'm sure you can see why I think "Fuck You". Also maybe you can see why I do tend to label many on the dole as scroungers. Of course, there are those who try and fail. But there are many who dont. To give a balanced argument though. Criminality is at all levels of society. It not just the poor. The whole things stinks of hypocrisy. The MP scoffs at the 16yr old petty thief while he files his dodgy expenses. Is it so different? But, while that is wrong, it doesnt make the former any more acceptable. You cant look at one and say its ok as the other does it. I blame the parents I actually do btw Difficult to tell from your post but am I right in thinking you came from an essentially loving and caring family? Without trying to sound completely gay here, material poverty is only a small part of the problem. Emotional neglect can be much more damaging for kids, especially young ones. Aye. Mother left us when I was 2 and I was brought up by my Gran mainly while my Dad worked (and still does) on the buses (huge images of Blakey here ) Agree re emotional neglect. I dont like to pre-judge but t's hard not to. When I see some kid getting brayed by his mother who is blowing smoke in his face while she stuffs her face on a pasty, its hard not to think "what chance have you got?"...

  17. If there was a poll of the most unlikely threads, this would be #2 behind LM giving MA his full support
  18. If you look at the scenes from London, majority of them are Black. If you look at Manchester the majority are white.
  19. Doubt any of them will read it, they're sub-human scum. Kinda figured more of them now have iPhones etc
  20. APart from the obvious correlation between poverty in the black areas like Hackney. Fuck all to do with race. Sure more are Black in the London problems, but thats as it a high concentration of Blacks in the area. Wasnt the case in Manchester was it? Also good to see the Seikh community and those in Milwall stand up to these fuckers on their own streets.
  21. Might as well post this here as well. My thoughts I put on G+ Just a few points. Dear Rioty (not actually a word, but you wont know that) People. 1. The current government are conservative. You probably wouldn't know this because its likely you didn't vote. It's quite easy as you just put a little X next to a name. Maybe try it next time and then you can complain if your choice didn't get in. 2. You state you are showing the rich you can do what you want? Sole traders on the high street are not rich. Like many in todays climate many are scratching to make a living while you likely over claim on the benefits system. Large retailers on the high street are also struggling and many have closed down all together (remember Woolworths? Borders Books? actually, you wont remember that last one...) or have closed a number of stores. 3. You claim lack of opportunities. Well done, absolutely well done. By destroying local business the number of opportunities has just decreased further. 4. Dont say this is about race. Dont say this is just blacks or whatever. This is about one section of society of all colours. It's about respect and lack of it. Lack of self respect, lack of respect for others. Lack of pride in where you are from. Lack of any moral fiber and more than anything, lack of intelligence. 5. Dont talk about being hard done to. I was brought up in a rough area. We played in our garden and no further, struggled to make ends meet. Did I carry on like this? No. I got my head down and tried to make something of myself. See point 4. 6. I've seen an injured man have his backpack robbed. I've heard a woman who's house was broken in to. I've heard business that have been around for 100 years go up in smoke. I've seen cars burned, bus burned, houses, shops all burned. You do not have the intellect to select your target, it is random and it is senseless. You have no argument for doing this. Nothing. You are the lowest of the low, you are scum. 7. Lastly, though many of you wont know this, it all started as a demonstration against a man who was shot and killed by police. In my opinion it was fair for these people to demonstrate peacefully. However, I do not understand the point that the police need to wait to be shot at first? If a man is armed I want the police to stop that man causing harm to anyone. Police or civilian. They need to act before that person does. I do think a shoot to kill policy needs to be looked at and perhaps another method could be used to disable the person. However, here is a tip from me. Don't get in to that situation to begin with. If you carry a gun or a knife or if you even walk around with the intent of causing harm, then you line yourself up to be harmed. There is a saying, Live by the sword, die by the sword. How true it is.
  22. In the middle east the youth rise up for basic freedom. In London they rise up for free 42" HD ready plasma tvs. lol BTW for those of you bored, you might want to watch these. I was spending my last hour or so watching some riot clips. These are my fav 3 1 (these fools think they got away then POW) 2 (crazy watching the riot police retreat) 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSg87dwOqFA...282&index=4 (This was probably the deadliest weapon used against riot police, it was fortunate no one got injured) Video 1 - That copper getting taken out by the kid on bike number 2 is tremendous. Glad they dished out a serving to the lad who failed to make it off the street. Few kicks when the scum are done will do them no harm. That #3 man, pissing myself at that
