The whole things pathetic. Numerous chants get shouted across the country that go close to the bone. Why the sudden uproar? Perhaps because the guy is a Muslim? What about chants said about people being Gay/Ugly/RC/On Drugs/Thief/Scottish/Welsh/etc? Was the chant clever or funny? No not really. Is it any worse that what is said across the country every week? No. Doesnt make it right, but doesnt call for each "do gooder" to jump to conclusions and bash our away support with the PC stick. Wankers.

Trouble is, many see that football chants are not included in moral rights and wrongs. Supporters of all clubs regularly step over the line and occassionally they are pointed out such as this. Really, it shouldnt be acceptable to sing against someones religion, sexual preference, and certainly not suggestion about being a paedophile, even though this is clearly in jest. Then if all the bloke does in return is say "ssshhh" when he scores, It cant be right that he is then the one penalised. Chants should be funny at times, not controversial. I thought we were better than that.
