1. This is top, but I still can't shake the feeling something bad's just waiting around the corner. Come on England, keep on proving me wrong.
2. I don't want to have this fight in front of the kids, but if I'm trying to encourage them to get off their arse and find it themselves and then you give it to them on a plate.. it kinda undermines me. I thought this was supposed to be a partnership? 10327 Fair enough, if you're looking for a more self reliant vibe around here, who am I to argue!
3. 35-1. Strauss out to Lee.
4. Remember this lad doing it one time in a pub. Walked straight into a full length window and afterwards there was a mark left on the glass by his squashed face. Only his pride was hurt though so everyone could have a laugh
5. I doubt you'll see Oster last the year at Reading. Especially if you have a xmas party, he's bound to be sacked for some misdemeanor or other the day after. I reckon the Royals can make the playoffs, then who knows? (Try to listen to Newcastle Sunday though Brock mate, if you start listening Saturday you might have a long wait til 1.30 the next day!)
6. Sport just doesn't get any better than that test match. I reckon if they ever brought it out on dvd, it'd be nearly as entertaining to watch it again as it was first time round. Feckin' marvellous having a good England cricket side representing the nation.
7. Aye, terrible way to go like, condolences to the family.
8. Bit cheeky of her to say she was using the 10,000 as a practice for the marathon I reckon. Shame if it kept a teammate out that genuinely wanted to go for it. Not worth getting too bothered about though, athletics bores me senseless these days.
9. I've thought a couple of times reading that page, could I send in some rubbish so far fetched and see if it got published. Two things put me off though, I can't be bothered, and people have already done it on an almost daily basis.
10. The football spy page of the Mirror invites readers to send in their transfer gossip they've heard. The bullshit passes into ridiculous on a daily basis, but this guy's got to be having a laugh surely. Anyways here's what 'Dave' of Cheshire had to say, 'I was in the waiting room of a colonic irrigation clinic last week where i overheard Michael Owen's sister telling a friend that Michael was looking for a reliable nanny in the Manchester area. He will soon sign for Man Utd.'
11. Shame about what happened to Cambridge... My "other" team is Hessen Kassel in Germany. 2297 It certainly was a shame about what happened/is happening to the U's, because they're far from out of the woods yet. But really the people in charge have handled the situation so badly going back years, it was always likely to end in tears. The city is really apathetic as well, no one seems fussed about the club being in trouble, did feel sorry for the loyal supporters they've got. Worst part of it is for me is that because the club and the first team were so badly run, a big casualty was the youth section, which had a cracking record producing players, and did loads of good community work was part of the cutbacks. Staff got the sack, including the head of youth development, who was a top bloke. He got quickly snapped up by Barnet though, so watch their performance at junior level shoot up in the next couple of years. As for the U's, hope they like non league football, because I can't see them getting back into the league proper anytime soon.
12. Newcastle first and foremost, but always had a soft spot for Carlisle United, got a link there going back years. Soft spots for West Brom and Hearts, because I know some of their supporters and they're top lads and lasses. And Barcelona, love the Catalan ethic that embraces the club, fantastic club and city.
13. Shades of The Simpson's family night out there Craig. When they're at the baseball, and Mr Burns goes 'aah Homer, Marge, and this must be young Bart, Lisa and...expecting?' Smithers; 'the card needs updating Sir' 'Well obviously!'
14. You'll be alright man, that's the next county up from where I live and I can make it up back home in a few hours. So you can get down there/she can come back home to visit easy
15. No idea, I fucked mine off ages ago when I realised that actually the majority of people from school I didn't like very much! Besides all the ones I liked, I always see out on the lash when I'm back home in any case!
16. Had to post in this for nostalgia! So here goes, comes from Scotland
17. Friends Reunited eat your hearts out. Could you sort all this in a matter of days? I think not!
18. Primal Scream's 'Screamadelica' sounding grrrrrrrrreat it is!
19. Is Aldershot not part of Hampshire?
20. Could be two catchprases for John Smiths' ones ' 'Ave It' or 'No Nonsense'
21. Isn't that the kid with a different identity on the board for every day of the week
22. I don't even watch GMTV, but know that Phillips woman from the Mirror on a Saturday morning. If she's anything like what she comes across as in print on the telly, a landmine's needed underneath her cushion on that sofa.
23. How about a vocabularly guide for beginners, (and posters who haven't been on the forum whatever it was called that much of late )
24. Snow Patrol on vh2 at the moment, but at home yesterday was mostly spent listening to Ryan Adams' latest album.
