Ive lived here 23 years nearly and this is the first time i can remember something this tragic happening here I hope its no-one i knew. I was literally 400metres away the whole time and didnt know it had happened. The whole sunday league just carried on.

Was playing football at the other end of the riverside this afternoon and heard a shit load of sirens going round to the park. Apparently a giant inflatable cocoon thing had blown off in the wind with people inside. Some fell out while in the air and it landed on a crowd of people too, suffocating some. Apparently 2 kids and a woman have died so far but thats unconfirmed. Shit news for my home town like

I liked how the kept the opening credits in the same style as the rest of the films. That and kate bosworths legs were the highlights for me.

Watched Nacho Libre for the 2nd time, still not feeling it. They are trying to recreate the success of napoleon dynamite but the whole reason ND was a success is cos no-one had heard of it and it received no publicity. Nacho Libre has a huge marketing campaign and so everyone is expecting a more mainstream film and it isnt. The same happened with dogma. Id already seen chasing amy, mallrats and clerks so knew what to expect but half of the cinema came out mumbling how shite the film was

Started reading the new Nick Hornby book but left it by the pool on holiday and someone nicked it! So read a book by ken follett called Hammer of Eden cos it was the only non 'romantic novel' in the hotel lobby. Was ok in the end actually. Dennis Wise autobiog was there as well but i dont think i could have read a whole book about how hard he is and how many people he headbutted whilst out on the lash with the crazy gang.

Pirates of the caribbean 2 - I only got back from ibiza yesterday morning so a 3 hour film last night probably wasnt the best choice. It was ok but i was waiting for it to end after 90minutes and even then it leaves huuuuge plot holes to make a 3rd film.

Theres no easy way out is easily the best song from any of the films! Rocky was obviously the best of the series, i juts like the whole 70s big city feel to it when hes training and collecting money down the docks etc. Rocky 4 gets the cheese factor though. I love that film!

Ive been sticking to costa coffee since i discovered the new ice shake things, minus the coffee. Just milk, ice and chocolate. Friggin lush and wont give you a gut! I always hated buying chocolate things in starbucks to find out it still tasted like coffee mingness! coffee and chocolate dont mix!

Im reluctant though cos at the minute i got the following to get framed and put up -Shearer signed shirt -Shearer signed picture -Personalised Bobby picture -Signed Supermac picture -Bobby Moncur signature and fairs cup final programme -Signed spartans shirt from the 'treble' season -1951,1952,1955 programmes and tickets and arthur ellis autograph in 1 big frame -Entire 1978 Blyth Spartans 5th round fa cup run -Bishop Auckland match programme and newspaper cutting (My grandad played in the match) To get them all framed professionally though is going to cost me hundreds oh i forgot, i got a jack daniels one from lynchburg TN too! Anyway, thats one of my hobbies, collecting footie stuff. Got about 500 toon programmes since the early 60s, and plenty non-league, foreign programmes too. 2nd hobby is Arcade games. Got myself a neo geo board, a capcom board, Double dragon amongst others. My favourites are the original street fighter 2 and street fighter zero 3. Spent a fortune on the bassas! Minor hobbies would be watching films (particularly 1980s movies) and listening to rock/punk, playing my guitar etc.

I cant believe people on here actually think he came on and contributed anything! He kept us in the game for 120minutes. He even did his best to win us the penalty shootout. Get a tape of the uefa cup semi final against marseille lads, just to remind yourselves how class he is!

Did he shite. Hes a poor mans jenas , sits in the middle, gets the ball, passes it 15 yards. Doesnt win you games. He didnt run at people, didnt tackle, never headed the ball. Everything he got slated for at Newcastle. He was one of their poorest players IMO and a terrible choice to bring on when you are a man up and looking for the win. I thought he was one of the main reasons we managed to get to penalties!

Good to see he is still shiter than shite. Valencia were ripped off for £2mil tbh
