started watching garden state the other day, pretty funny, reminds me a bit of how i felt when i moved home from uni.

there were no witnesses were there? its 2 policemens words against a dead man. no contest. if 2 policemen pointed guns at you and shouted at you to stop would you pretend your table leg was a shotgun and aim at them? or maybe hold it up and say 'its a table le....bang.....'??? so they have a hard job to do as armed police. doctors have a hard job to do but if they kill someone negligently they get sacked. why should it be any different for police? happening more and more often. ps. im not too sure what you meant by the 9-11 mob? there werent any police on the planes IIRC?

in reference to the london tube shooting, until the official report comes out (no doubt doctored slightly) this man who spoke very little english was followed from his house to the train station, plain clothed men approached him, he backed off, they drew guns, he shit it and run, they shot him in the head 7 times? if that was me in spain, and id been followed and then had a bloke pull a gun on me id fucking leg it too! they could shout polizia at me as much as they wanted, the fact a man in jeans and a t shirt was pointing a gun at me would probably overide my common sense

thats because the black to white ratio is quite low. English is historically a white country, black people emigrated over 5, 10, 15 generations ago. there will always be more white people in england than black people, the same goes for when you go to the pub, the match, the shops etc... its not racism, just like there will always be more black people than white people in africa. Im not denying that racism doesnt happen, of course it does, but positive discrimination will only serve to exacerbate the problem in my opinion. i was looking on the police website the other day and was shocked to read the recruitment statement that said they encouraged applications from ethnic minorities, gays and lesbians etc. it was worded in a way that implied applications from these groups would be looked upon more favourably. that really fucks me off, why would someone make a better copper cos hes black?
