The earth is closest to the sun on Jan 1st. It might not be 'accurate' if you think the year should be marked by the shortest day but the cycle depends on the earth's orbit of the sun, which is not arbitrary.

Is the correct response. I've got high hopes for you Andrew.

I dont think thats completely true otherwise Michu would be leaving Swansea, Fletcher wouldnt be at Sunderland and Lambert would not be at Soton.
-
I think there's a lot of truth in that.

The more times he moves, the more times the agents take a fee.

I dont think the Ba deal will put them the wrong side of the calculations but FFP makes the issue of finance more than just dipping into Roman's stolen roubles.

Not sure UEFA are that easily bribed when it comes to overlooking losses under FFP.

The annual solar cycle is not arbitrary, its determined by the movements of the celestial bodies.

That's what I like about you CT, you're self-defecating.

I've spent the last 2 days cooking. Did a Lasagne on NYE for 6, started chopping its after 6pm, served it up at 9pm. Kilo of steak mince, onions, carrots, bay leaves, tomato purée, white wine, 2 litres of stock, cooked for an hour. Add in roasted and peeled yellow and red peppers, cherry tomatoes, salt and pepper. Home made bechamel with layers of Parmesan and Compté cheese. Today did a 3 kilo leg of lamb for 9 of us. Roasties, veg, gravy. Lovely. 3 bottles of 2008 Chateau Pomys to wash it down.

Top rate of tax possibly going up to 75% in France is only going to increase the flow of players from their league. It was given a setback couple of days ago but they want to continue pushing for it. If it happens then a lot of players will look to move.

CT was quoting Pardew to back up his shit points earlier in the thread now hes saying he talks bollocks. Idiot.

Last 12 months I visited, Newcastle, London, Berlin, Munich (2), Madrid (3), Barcelona, Milan (5) Rome, Bordeaux, San Sebastien, Geneva (15+), Zurich (3), Amsterdam, Brussels, Stockholm, Chicago, Detroit, New York/New Jersey. Plus a few more I've forgotten, got my platinum card for Air France for the first time this year. I live in Paris and have over the years worked in Manhattan but my number 1 favorite city in the world is Newcastle.

The taste explodes in your mouth.

You couldn't look more stupid if you tried. Tell me which games they performed well in before March of that season? They both struggled for form under the ridiculous circumstances they were playing. I was just pointing out what is generally known about how they were playing with first hand experience.

Thanks Gene.

I was at the game at West Ham when we beat them 0-2, I think Duff scored, both Tevez and Mascherano were utter shite. Both were 'hauled off', Tevez at half time, Mascherano after 55 mins. The away end sang 'where's your argies gone?' as we played our way to 3 excellent away points. By the end of that season Tevez has got to grips with the premier league and helped them stay up but earlier on they were fucking awful and nowhere near good enough. You know nothing about how they were performing under Pardew at that time.

Good for you Gene. In my experience 70 year olds are usually quite straightforward to look after unless they have early onset dementia or Alzheimer's. I have a centenarian grandmother so understand the challenges associated with care for the elderly, its a massive issue and is going to get even worse in the future according to some demographic estimates. Anyway, any comment on the match, how did you find Pards' approach? I call him Pards deliberately as i am on record as being hard for Pard. -

If you search his posting history in the football forum over the last few months, the only piece of game-related 'analysis' i can find (in less than 60 seconds) is 'Krul's fault, should have put it out' in the Southampton game thread. Very little if any match related content, which lets be honest is the main point of a team forum. -

I want to think so too but the fact we got nothing from the game is hard to take, especially looking at the shots on target and possession we had. In a way i think we alread have turned the corner a little bit, i was pleased to read about a bit of falling out between players and managers, its a key dynamic in team development and i think we are beginning to see Pardew has got to grips with the motivational / performance issues. The results will come if we can re-integrate the better quality players and keep the intensity and concentration we are starting to see again. -
Listen Wibbly Pig, the only time you had any credibility on this forum was when your post surmounted to basically 'what chez said'.
