Other countries including Germany still have those industries. There may be an argument that some of the things she did were right but the lack of thought for the immediate consequences of those changes and the delight she took was devestating. It could also be argued that her destruction of industry was not borne out of a long-term cost-benefit appraisal of the fiscal impact of subsidising nationalised industry but out of a destire to destroy the unions and create a paradigm shift to the right in British politics. I think the latter is her real legacy, making Britain leaner and more competitive is as simple as saying 'lets not pass laws to regulate things'.

Interesting evening for the championship coming up, 8 of the top 12 teams playing each other.

Would be a tad ironic if the Dutch won the WC next year. Is it a coincidence that the Europeans who settled in S. Africa were apparently as cuntish as their US 'reformed protestant' counterparts? Britain's role there is pretty disgraceful too, right up to Thatcher refusing to condemn apartheid and back the sanctions in 86. I've seen a pig in a convincing wig etc etc.

Economy of scale. Less is more. Not when you're dealing with the Chinese. More is definitely more there.

His tactics arent really that discernible but the results suggest that whatever he is encouraging the players to do, seems to be working. His ability to drill them to hold their shape as a unit and occupy a particular line on the pitch when defending and carving out scoring opportunities when attacking seems to be clear though.

Talk about a democratic deficit...

Someone was making the point about only 15 English players played in the CL last season, whereas something daft like 100 Brazillians had. So what though, its just squad depth which is our issue in that case since most of our starting 11 have lots of CL games under their belts. I'd be delighted if we make it to the semis. Not good enough to win it. Why not? We have the best midfielder, in my view the two best centre halfs, best manager, you'd put Rooney in the top 10 players in the world. We are inifinitely better than Italy and Greece were who won two of the last three tournaments, and this is the first time we've played a WC in years in a climate condusive to our footballing way. I hope am proved wrong just dont think we are good enough to beat Spain or Brazil. You've got the Dutch too who are always dangerous if they arent kicking off with each other or fucked on smack.

You know the phrase 'we dont play on paper' well i think this year that may not be wholly true. Not been to many games this season and i understand the atmosphere has been excellent in some games but i still dont see a 'white-hot' SJP being a factor this season. Drawing on the comments made by a few managers after they have played us, perhaps its who the squad are on paper that is giving us the psychological advantage. We all know that the players we have are decent on paper but that they dont perform in line with their reputation and heritage. However, if you were the Watford manager and are looking at our players you are going to see Deportivo, Real Mallorca, Villareal, Liverpool, Man U, PSG, Rangers, Villa, NUFC Premiership players, Bolton and Wigan. I think thats where we are gaining the advantage from perhaps in reference to the opposition being a bit intimidated. I guess a 40k plus crowd isnt harming that situation either.

Cumshots and other great questions of our Day
ChezGiven replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in General Chat
you seem to suggest it's impossible to have a varied sex life and an emotionally invested relationship? Blatantly like your lass to shit on a glass table while you lie under it. Who doesnt? Only Fish's lass I suppose. Depends who is offering to clean the table like. He's invited me round to watch the match tonight. Should I be concerned? Just dont assume any brown rings are coffee stains. -

Think people are letting it sink in. It will also take a while to sort out, at present its just a statement of intent which i'm sure we all hope captures the imagination of the support. On the technical side, i dont have access to one of the financial advisors where i am. Having stopped paying my UK pension at the end of 2007 (there are 12 years with two seperate pension funds from two employers), can i go down the pension route? I would need a phone number for someone i could speak to about this. Out of interest: Is there a reluctance to reveal details of how the scheme works because those behind it are worried about it being public and it being copied? Are you working with the people who were banging on about this idea a few months ago? I look forward to reading the outline structure and detailed plan, as there will be some who need more detail to answer their concerns. Some people may need that before they take the time to see an expert. Stuff like, are you guaranteeing a minimum return? What is the downside risk if the club, for example, went into administration? could be concerns for many. Look forward to reading more.

Is that like that roflnol you get off the internet? Makes you wet yourself? I love drugs, they pay me a salary, they make my grandma better, they keep me relaxed and they help me stay up all night in funny nightclubs with my mates. All in moderation though. Anything stronger than weed is once every 3 or 4 months nowadays, if that.

Use lube, letting them dry fuck you in the ass is more painful. Its probably not what you want to hear but kissing arse at this point might help a bit too. If you were under a permanent contract before the merger, they have to give you the same. Apart from that, its down to the relationships you have with the new people who have the power to promote or block your next move. Whilst frustrating and unfair, the word of the old CEO carries no weight, you need to generate the same buy-in to your work with new lot as you had before. One thing to consider is first of all the petty politics of top management, when a new CEO comes in they like to put their own style and direction on company strategies to make them look like they are changing things. Think long and hard about the strategic imperatives of the new players, are you fighting for something that has general buy-in across the board or are you pursuing old strategies? If this hasn't changed, then the issue is further down the food chain, what is the relationship with the Senior Director really like? Can you have a one to one with him to discuss this in a constructive way? Can you sit him down and ask him to explain what is happening so you have a better understanding of the situation (i.e. in a context where you are not asking for promotion or changes in job conditions) to get an insight into what is driving the business decision-making?

This place is a bit shit at the minute for me. I thought Parky announcing the break-up of his marriage descending into the usual 'Stevie and KD' shit was a real low. Nowt against Stevie or KD either.

The Daily Mail has revealed the real reason that the government asked the drugs czar to stand down. It was discovered that he is actually of Turkish origin and his real first name is Ofiz.
