Newcastle Brown blatantly qualifies for a PGI so someone could challenge S&N's removal of it.

Presidents / Political leaders dont 'do' anything, they only have ever spoken to set the tone of the actions of those underneath them. That article seems to suggest that world leaders have been kicking down walls, driving tanks and negotiating peace deals. Never happened. Decisions on policy are made and rhetoric is used to set the tone. Thats it, everyone goes off and does the things that need doing. Removing unilateralism and changing the policy tone is a huge step forward towards resolving a conflict that had fuck all to with Obama. On a global scale, that change in discourse is hugely important and one that would not have occured if one of other the less eloquent democratic candidates had succeeded imo. Isnt it also a bit stupid to denigrate previous winners whilst trying to say this nobel prize decision was wrong? Is it the noble prize thats being attacked? Oh, thats nice, criticise a bunch of scandanavian academics for handing out a political award that promotes peace, very well thought through all of this i'm sure.

The Sir Richard Steele on Haverstock hill, just up the road from Camden. Was my local for 6 years.

Sounds like the early stages of heart failure to me.

So HF, who has had more of an impact on world peace this year?
-
If you think about it though, the world is a safer place now, so his influence on peace has been about as great as any one man could have had since January.

Not being Dubya presumably. I think its a bit unfair to dismiss his presidency so far as just this. If the Republicans / neo-cons had continued in power, we'd have been at war with Iran by now. Its not as if Obama has just not got aggressive (as per Dubya) with countries like Iran, he has actively sought out new ways of interacting across borders.

High on ketamine by the sounds of things.

Maybe not as good since in the far north, it doesnt get dark in the summer. I go out to Sweden every mid-summer and its light all day.

Not as sad as it was for Alex selling them to you. Still use mine on my pubes. Which reminds me, last time I saw Chez, he'd let his hair grow a bit. Got more on my face at the moment. Its a tricky one to manage tbh, if you grew a beard you'd look like Uncle Albert.

Nick, its a tradition to take the piss out of people coming on here asking about stag weekends. Read the burglar's dog for spot on advice and an insight into how some of the locals will look at you. Have a great time, enjoy the city and as your a southern poof, wrap up warm

Bought my own hair clippers a few weeks back. Sad day tbh.

I think a trip there warrants a new toon top with Robert on the back but i've never been one for wearing a strip on holiday.

Am going to Reunion Island in November and they have an active volcano.

Cupcake dog. An obedient dog who loved cupcakes was presented with a plate of cupcakes and told to leave them. The ensuing hilarity led to a smiley.

You can do 'Northern Lights' cruises in Norway for around 600 notes, think it was a week long cruise the one i saw. No theme parks mind
-
I wasnt there on holiday and i have no interest in theme parks. Spent NYE in Space in Miami and then had a road trip to the Keys a few years back. That was canny.

Got to take you to task there..... Orlando is brilliant. Theme parks, water parks, Guns, roaming aligators, Sea world, quality food and lots of lovely old white haired folk. Orlando is absolutely shit in my opinion. If I won a free trip there I'd think twice about going. Swapped it for Cuba didnt we? (Florida not Orlando) I did see a lass start on a bloke in an Irish bar in downtown Orlando a few months back. About the most interesting thing outside work i saw there in nearly 2 weeks.

Aye aye, Chez is on the rag. That bar was awful (no Pina Colada? Fookin shite) and a summer soundtrack should be uplifting, breezy, full of energy and good to dance to. Everything Grizzly Bear is not. Quite like the album when i'm horizontal though.
-
Forth is shit on a weekend though. You can't move. He fancies the barmaid man. You'd have thought he'd have got the hint by now though. Is the 'barmaid man' some sort of tranny?
-
Is that the one at the end of Leazes Park Lane (I think)? Neear The Strawberry. Looks shite if it is that one. Aye. Wine-bar-cum-toilet.
-
Soundtrack for the summer? Sounds like a fucking shit summer.

Popped into that new bar Surh-hurh the other day after the match, was fucking shit.
