  1. 79 posts defending Spurs from the rubbish that is posted on here about them. Obsessed. FYP. You need to take away the ones where you were just talking utter wank.
  2. No remind me. Honestly mate I don't, it obviously didn't make that much of an impression. It came true. Really? Now I am intrigued, what came true? How's Modric doing Danny? Modric has done nothing Cheers for the update.

  5. How's Modric doing Danny? Remember my prediction?
  6. Shame, i remember seeing an advert on the telly when i was a kid telling me to invest in Peter Lee and i've never forgotten it
  7. The debt is now equity, which is more efficient for a prospective buyer. Its canny basic stuff this. What about the extra £50m-80m? Debtquity? I would have a thought a know-all like you wouldnt need to ask such basic questions. See my sig. and (although you do need an apostrophe in there ) Never have sigs turned on. So much of life is just passing you by. Unless your sig reads 'Actually, I am a twat", I highly doubt it.

  10. The debt is now equity, which is more efficient for a prospective buyer. Its canny basic stuff this. Not sure if that was a dig or not Anyway, yes, the money he lent is now equity (we all know that) - the point I was making is that the price on the ticket reflects the £40+m Ashley paid off the debt with i.e. what the club is worth + I've no idea what you're talking about. That doesnt worry me in the slightest either.

  12. You both seem to struggle with the notion of differing opinions tbf. At least I attempt to back up my views with some kind of reasoning / argument.
  13. Glad to see you share our concerns, most would welcome a supporters group that gave a measured and dignified voice to the fans rather than the somewhat manic militant ramblings we are seeing so far. What if Ashley is still here next summer? You think a Supporters group will have any effect on speeding up his departure ? If a few mongs with some banners can make him try and sell.... The supporters group over the long term will be a very decent thing. I'm aghast people are judging something so much in its infancy. I think it's job-done in terms of getting Ashley to sell up, it's now just a matter of proceedure before he's gone, I agree a supporters group is a decent thing too, however, in my humble opinion is thus far shooting itself in the foot and is fast losing crediblity. I hope it is salvageable. SO do I, I agree on all things you've said there apart from the job done bit, him sticking a ridiculous price tag on and whoring his way round the world in an attempt to piss off all possible buyers wasnt a valid attempt to sell imho. My belief still stands he will sell to the highest bidder or the one most likely to fail. The ridiculous price tag is a clue. Still some confusion over this. He spent 130m and then internalised the debt into the valuation of the club. If he left the debt outside the club and with the banks, he could sell it for 130m + profit margin, say 150m. However, that would leave the new owner with the debt which he would lead to a number of scenarios. First of all as the debt was transferred the bank would charge a fee of up to 5% for the change in contract. Having paid the debt off and transferred it into equity, that charge wont exist to a new buyer. Then there is the cost of capital, r, which is a multiplier on the value of the debt. If the debt remained outside of the equity value, the real cost of the club would be higher to the new buyer than the asking price + present debt value. In short, the selling price reflects exactly how much money has been spent and the current 'proposition' is more attractive to a prosective buyer than selling the club with its debt. You also need to remember that the share price, which dictated the 130m buying price, was pretty low when you looked at the P/E ratio at the time of the sale. The price seems about right to me. BTW, i'm utterly intrigued about this Peter Lee character. I've got a few grand spare at the minute...
  14. The NUSC should recognise that it cant protest someone into buying the club and also recognise the momentous impact of the current financial climate on the possibility of finding a BETTER owner. If it released a statement this week concerning the financial climate and the need for stability at the club, it can stand by its original position that Ashley should sell but that specifying any timeline on this is futile and if needs be, the club and its supporters need to work together to ensure premiership status in 09/10.
  15. My arguments arent about whether Ashley should go, thats not even up for debate. I've also signed up for the supporters club. Me and M4TT will be setting up this country's branch, we'll meet once a year to agree that we support our comrades, blockade the ports then go for a very long lunch. No sheep burning? We might have a BBQ, depending on the weather.

  17. explain? You've just changed the point at hand from the Keegan thread, to a thread where HTT is imagining people are blaming the fans. He doesnt think they should and neither do I. How is that ridiculing his opinion? I question the legitimacy of the complaint though. Explain why you're a hypocrite? You've shifted the point of this discussion about, ignored the main thrust of the argument and tried to lump my opinion in with some unknown discussion with ON and HTT, so am not sure you deserve the obvious explanation of why you are a hypocrite for criticising people for 'ridiculing' HTT. Something which that quote above doesnt back up, as me and HTT agree the fans should not even come into it. I think he has been imagining it. Whether he has or not is irrelevant to this. Its staggeringly hypocritical of someone who set up a website to take the piss out of HTT to pull someone up on that post. Its even more staggering as it had fuck all to do with the original point. Keep sniping away like a twat as much as you want though, its your website.
  18. Seriously? thats your argument as to why people shouldnt ridicule you when they disagree? The point being i've not ridiculed anyone's opinion on this at all and was defending the right to express an opinion. I've argued coherently about some points i believe to be true and thats it. You have lumped me in with something ON has apparently done without me being aware of what it is you're talking about. Its that attention to detail that worried me if you are going to be the one 'establishing the facts'. I take the piss out of HTT all the time, i've not once ridiculed his opinion on this or many other issues relating to it. You can talk anyway, what a fucking hypocrite!
  19. It seems to me people havent even read the thread properly. Baggio, me, Optimistic Nut and others have all been wondering about this utter shitstorm and thinking that it isnt quite what it seems. We all post on here incidentally so you cant isolate it to one forum. No-one has said Ashley hasnt been a twat and fucked up the situation. Some of us are however, thinking about the situation and how desperate it is and wondering how appropriate and proportionate the reaction has been. A reaction i hasten to add that was well under way outside St James Park by lunchtime on tuesday 2nd september. Guilt was already assumed and assigned before we even knew if Keegan had gone. Thats not rational. Given the implications for the club, as witnessed again today, you'd have thought we would have the right to air that view without ridicule. Agreed, that however is why this group is being set up. To try and ensure that these things do not get out of hand again. One of the first things that will be done is to provide all the press with contact points, people they can call to get proper quotes, quotes that are thought out and reasoned and then spoken in actual proper English. If you go back through the timeline you will see that the main supporters references (the internet forums, nufc.com, theMag, True-Faith and the Chronicle) did not urge people to go out and do these things. These started with the rent-a-mongs making their way from Arthurs Hill to try and get on the box. Once SSN had shown them in their moment of glory at 1pm then the bars of Elswick, Byker, Benwell and Scotswood emptied. I went down at 4pm to take a look and was shocked at just how bad it had got. By that time though places were reporting that the fans were gathering and you had actual proper real fans going down (some, as I did out of morbid curiosity + a chance to get some pics and some because they assumed thats what they should do). The NUSC would try and take out some of that, if we all have an official place to look to for "guidance" at the start then we will know whats expected. Generally I would expect a statement from it to tell people not to go protest outside but to wait. At the same time they would provide the soundbites to SSN and co. hopefully meaning the TV companies wouldnt even bother to go down there for views. As you and ON did with HTT you mean? You cant have it both ways, not expect ridicule when you post but give it when others do. Well i hope you're not the one verifying the facts for NUSC, as I always ridicule HTT, no matter what he says. However, i dont even know what that refers to.

  21. Why? Winter is generally decent and seems to have a soft spot for us. IIRC he wrote a fairly unflattering article on us a few months back. I may be thinking of someone else mind. In the light of recent events, most people now realise the articles we saw over the summer were mostly true.
  22. I disagree, I know someone who works on the stands and they are employed by the club. To be honest it would be better for us if they were private companies, they would be putting pressure on the club if their takings were well down. So someone has NUFC on their wage slip and i'm wrong about the concessions and how they are run? I like the way you make it an opinion too. I know someone who works in my office, gets a company pay slip but really works for another company. Thats not evidence thats just an anecdote.
