  1. Definitely. They have had a ropey start and that looks to continue with matches against Chelsea and a decent Aston Villa side. After that they might pull it together. Confidence knocking and pressure building on manager though.
  2. Modric anonymous at the weekend apparently. Lucky guess on my behalf iih I'll take your word for it mate. I quite spuriously and over-confidently claimed that Modric would have a shit season to Danny a few weeks back. Am not saying i've been proved right, obviously.
  3. That's almost an admission that Ashley is doing a good job not yet he isn't Long way from matching the old mob yet In terms of running a business he has long since surpassed them. In footballing terms it is yet to be seen however... No he's not, business is all about the numbers and NOTHING else. Season ticket sales are down and therefore on absolutely any assessment of the business, its doing worse on its number one metric. There are of course reasons for this but lets not confuse paying debts off with business success, got fuck all to do with each other.

  5. So finance is important then. We're a classic example of where spending doesnt necessarily bring you success but its clear that in the future success isnt likely without it.
  6. Nicely contradictory there. Is it just a coincidence that the richest are the biggest clubs? You use the list (sorted by money) to show that club's that win things get bigger, presumably meaning more rich? Or something? You link status and money as following success but its clear that some clubs have status and money without success. Anyway whatever convoluted and contradictory point you were trying to make, your talking shit as Chelsea are well on their way to being a big club (by the trophy definition) due to nothing other than the financial situation. So finance is far from 'a small part of it', in fact i'd say its the be all and end all nowadays.
  7. I'd like to see some backup for that. Of course there has been a civil war of sorts, especially when the U.S. started creating and arming indigenous militia and various 'friendly factions'. **See Negroponte and the El Salvadorisation of Iraq. You create a massively unstable scenario with no post war plan of any kind and this is what you get basically. Backup provided by most daily news channels. Unless you think all the roadside and market bombings were done by yanks?
  8. Lots of Iraqis have been killing Iraqis, that doesnt fit under war crimes. Of the civillian deaths, how many are insurgents and ethnic fighting? The 95% certainty bit is because someone somewhere has been using a statistical technique to estimate the rate. Estimators are uncertain, therefore you propose an interval within which you are 95% certain that the 'true death rate' lies.
  9. We start the season hoping, The press all think we’re joking Cos Ashley’s skinted, Keegans’s mental But we think we’ll win the league!
  10. Playing Shola alongside Owen the night before his contract negotiations may not be the best idea.
  11. Theres no point in over-playing the honesty card.
  12. Jonny needs to do a video compilation of Taylor's handballs, sniper shots and mental celebrations and set it to Max Bygrave's You Need Hands.
  13. Seems a bit short-tempered to me.
  14. I used to really like the shola song at away matches. The one bloke who shouted 'Shola!' at the top of his voice in between each line always made me laugh. Keegler doing his usual 'big-up' act tbh.
  15. It was without UK teams if you read it again. Oh yeah, forgot about that. What exactly is the point in this thread, then? Can you not read?? The thread asks you who you think are the biggest clubs in Europe. If you've got nothing to say, which clearly you haven't being a fuckin dick asking stupid questions like that, say nothing. Class, another sociopath joins the ranks. BCM in Malaga is the biggest club in Europe. FACT!11@@
  16. You'd never expect that sort of arrogance from a German normally.
  17. The side that we put out against Man U can beat bolton at home. There is no real urgency to get any players in before the weekend.
  18. So thats a pint and an album i'm expecting then.
  19. Aye, Triggy, you've got a point which is why by spending about 1000 on club products a year, you dont get personally consulted by Ashley, as its fuck all compared to some people. Power to the corporate seats! Ye daft fanny.
  20. I have a rapidshare account so will have a go at uploading it tonight. Do i need to pack it first as a .rar?
  21. My first proper girlfriend had flaps like puppy's ears, no wonder i called it her growler. Cottage Cheese though?
