That is pretty standard treatment Craig. You can probably combine the co-codamol with ibuprofen if you've had no problems with it before (e.g. wheezing). I would combine them if it were me, should help with the pain. You'll need the tooth removed, as you have been advised. Amoxicillin is a standard anti-biotic. Orajel- 'nuff said. Co-codamol seems to be a codeine/ acetaminophen (paracetamol) mix kinda like how they do oxycontin over here. Too much acetaminophen can cause liver failure (which is part of the reason it is so often mixed with opiods- it helps to scare people into not taking large amounts), so don't take more than the recommended dosages. As little as 2,000 mg of acetaminophen can cause liver damage in someone who drinks regularly. Don't know how well it mixes with ibuprofen, but if you really need some pain relief and only have the tools above at your disposal, google "jamaican gold" and give that a go. FYP.... That's the funny thing about looking for this new job, on one hand I'm nervous where ever I end up might test more than here, but on the other hand, this job is the main reason i self-medicate. I never really did drugs until I got this gig and the stress of being on call 24/7 and everything being my fault started to get to me...

Sounds belter... I reckon it's be great to be part of a start up business like that. you won't be needing a thermal engineer by any chance, will you?! Or a industrial controls expert? Really cool idea Tooner... As for me, my dream job would be a starring role on Mythbusters. That'd be perfect for me. Get to do all kinds of cool science-y type experiments, acquire that perfect level of fame where you're on TV and you have some fans, but you can still go to the grocery store without an armored detail accompanying you... man, that'd be the bomb.

I think there will be a ton of adopters for it, it is after all, basically a netbook, and that market exploded just over the past couple of years. Lots of people figuring out that just because there's three or four people in their house, they don't need three or four computers since most people's idea of using a computer is just fucking around on facebook anyway. I could see people buying one for their kid/ teen/ student to double as a computer/ tv/ dvd player/ music player. It's a sound move strategically for Apple to get into that market. I don't really agree about the hype though. There were a lot of websites and press speculating including whatever sad bastard actually looks through patent registrations and all that, but that's just blogs and magazines trying to sell themselves- I doubt Apple was responsible for it. I would buy it if it was a tablet MacBook rather than a tablet iPhone. I'm just saying. Oh- and Zathras, I had a Newton back in the day too! When I worked for AMD back in '96 they issued them to us. Clean rooms are no place for pens and pads, y'know?

Here's our shite work internet-

I dig it. Probably not enough to actually buy one, but it's pretty sweet. Wish it wasn't married to ATT's shitey 3G service over here though. We had our wireless router at the house die last week and my wife was at the house with her iPhone for about 3 hours before I could get off work to buy and set up the new one. It was terrible! I mean, we don't live in downtown Manhattan or anything, but Christ- I couldn't even get the thing to open google.com until it's third try! I'd always heard how lame the ATT 3G was, but good Lord- until I actually saw it, I couldn't really believe it.

the freestyle (moguls, arials and ski-cross) are at the hills surrounding (and visible from) vancouver and I think the halfpipe and slalom snowboard events are as well but I can't remember which is where Cypress and Seymour are the ones that come to mind but then there is Grouse Mtn as well. When they take photos/film the snow boarders from uphill at the halfpipe there will be some crazy shots of downtown vancouver as the back drop, it looks like the riders are going to land across Seymour Arm. HOCKEY!!! OLYMPIC HOCKEY, MAN!!! Can't wait to see U.S., Canada, Russia, and Czech Republic. Those are going to be some strong teams. Canada taking the top line from the Sharks, U.S. throwing a young and inexperienced gritty team out there, Datsyuk centering Ovechkin and Semin? Wow. Gonna be some good puck being played. i'm worried though canada has had a bad habit of choking on the big stage...(sound familiar) so much hype for the olympic team and how 'it's our game so of course we'll get the gold medal', but just look at the world junior tournament this year and we got out played by the US team. I just hope there isn't a sense of entitlement by the canadian players. but i agree its going to be some great hockey Well, keep in mind too that World Juniors is short some big name Canadian kids who are playing in the NHL. Don't get me wrong- I'm happy we won the WJC, but I don't have any illusions about what it is and who was reprsented. I really do wonder how Canada will play against Russia though. The Canada roster has a wealth of offensive defensemen- which is great, especially with the international rules, but I wonder how they're going to contain an offensively stacked team like Russia. It'll be great to watch. To avoid further derailing this thread... 1. I'm looking for a new job. 2. My wife and I are batting around names for our son due in May. 3. Because of 1, I've been sober since before Christmas. It sucks. I don't know how y'all do it. 4. Being winter and cold here, I'm back to wasting all of my time with Warhammer: Online 5. This post took me forever to type because our black cat likes to lay down next to the keyboard, then roll over onto it.

Growing up, I just LOVED those games. Magic, sheer magic. True dat, man. I say Russia vs. Canada for the gold. I have no idea if that's even how the brackets will be laid out, but that's what it ought to be. Best offense in the world (Ovechkin, Semin, Datsyuk, Malkin, Kovalchuk, etc. etc.) versus the best goaltender ever (Brodeur) on home turf? Should be stuff of legends. I like our team selection a lot, not trotting out the old guard again, but it'll be the next Olympics where our boys will shine. If they play above their heads or the brackets get weird and a hockey version of Group C emerges, a bronze isn't out of the question, but it's unlikely we'll medal this time. It'll be great experience for our kids, however.

Muchos gracias por favor. I'll have a gander when i get home. Nick Cave and Warren Ellis - White Lunar It's a collection of the best stuff from their soundtrack work. It's Lush. LOVE Nick Cave. Was listening to Murder Ballads on the way to work just last week on the iPod. Some of his worst work. At that point of Nick's career it was like, give the man a shot of smack, get him back on the horse, find him some skag! Then Blitza fucked off and Ellis restored the natural order. Birthday Party's stuff and then all the Bad Seeds until the Mercy Seat is great but that "shit song" pap! fuck me what dross. Martyn P Casey and Mick Harvey are rather nice chaps though. And for anyone that knows the earlier stuff Rowland S Howard who was in the Birthday Party with Nick passed away just before Christmas. circulatory system - signal morning. it's a ride but brilliant. There are three subjects I've found it's absolutely pointless to debate- 1. Religion 2. Politics (American, at least) 3. Music (namely, what's good and what's bad) That being said, it's hard to believe you equate tracks like Song of Joy, The Curse of Millhaven, or Stagger Lee with the low point of his career. Those are some great songs, man.

Never heard of him. Not to say I'm the most informed Yank on the face of the earth, but after watching the video, I'd say only a handful of Wired or RATM types would have heard of him over here. That kind of stuff doesn't generally make the mainstream news.

Happy, I want a list of the blogs and news sites you read. You always post the most interesting stuff. For reals, BTW- no sarcasm intended.

I've been shocked by the criticism Obama has been under lately and the on-the-fly decsision making of those that could have made a difference by explaining things correctly to the wider populace. I realise now AMERICA CAN'T BE SAVED. It is on a collison course with history and the universe and those boys have yert to drop a set. Welcome to my world. I swear, the only reason I'm still here is my folks are old and won't move. God forbid, if anything happened to them, I'd be asking if any of y'all have a spare room to rent. To address a couple of questions being asked about my country and it's views on things... 1) The 40% tax revenue, defense spending, et al Most people in this country don't really realize how much their being taxed. There's tons of reasons for this (serpentine tax law, relatively low education levels, etc.), but it basically comes down to this point- if you ask a person how much money they make and how much taxes they pay, the first answer will be their salary before taxes (because that's how a business presents it to you, obviously) and the second will be a woefully low estimate. I remember arguing about healthcare with some people back in 2006 and used Canada's model as my basis of argument. One of the opponents said, "Yeah, but don't they pay like 40% or 50% in taxes?", to which I replied, "Motherfucker! You ever look at your (pay)check stub? Your recepit from the grocery store or whatever? I don't know about you, but I already pay well over 40% of my wages in tax- I might as well get free healthcare for my trouble!" 2) Criticism of Obama Right or wrong, when you run on a platform of change, some shit has to change. And as everyone knows, we're the most impatient country on earth. It's been a year and we're still in Iraq and Afghanistan, we still don't have national healtcare, our economy is still shit, and a lot of people are still out of work. Is it Obama's fault? Of course it isn't. Is he taking the blame for it nonetheless? Of course he is. The Bush Administration took over banks in the bailout and yet Fox News Channel and the Republicans can't stop refering to Obama as a socialist. Yes, I'm serious. 3) National healtcare There's a tremendous amount of money being pumped into scaring Americans into thinking the government will destroy healtcare if given the chance. I've personally had conversations here at work where otherwise seemingly rational people will tell me they don't think the government should run healtcare because they'll kill old people. It's mind boggling. I've also heard a co-work rail on about the subject of national healthcare then later mention that his grandson (whom he supports by the way, along with his own deadbeat kids) lost his silver tooth and was hoping the tooth fairy would leave him more of a reward. This kid, needless to say, on public aid programs and we, the taxpayers, paid for a 5 year-old to have a silver tooth put in. Don't know if y'all have run across it, but there have been people in this country speaking out against giving aid to Haiti; namely, Rush Limbaugh. Now, I'm not so much of an unsavvy stooge to realize that Limbaugh only spoke out against aiding the Haitians because it would generate a tremendous amount of media coverage for him and his goofy radio show, but the problem is, there are a lot of unsavvy stooges who listen to that show who now actually believe we shouldn't help Haiti. History and everything else aside, I don't see how anyone could read about the aftermath of the earthquakes and see the footage coming out of that country and not be moved in some way to help. Unsurprisingly though, the Limbaugh listeners and Pat Robertson's zealots are doing just that. If that isn't the definition of heartbreakingly sad, I don't know what is. There have been other events that really made me question the notion that this country could ever recover some of the spirit that once made it great- the bank bailouts and subsequent financial crisis, allowing media conglomerates to merge the outlets to control output of news, the war in Iraq, the two controversial Bush elections, the outright FUD regarding some form of nationalized healthcare, but for whatever reason, this whole Haiti thing really has gone a long way towards convincing me that we're just so far gone, there will be no recovery. All that other stuff you couldn't justify, but could at least rationalize as somebody being greedy, but speaking out against people who are trying to aid people who are the victims of a natural disaster of epic proportions is just evil. What an interesting and thoroughly depressing post. It's like the Requiem For a Dream of posts, tbh.
