Stevie (and I'm not joking at all), do you have a chemical imbalance or depression? I had insomnia for YEARS. Finally went to the doctor for it after trying every sleeping pill and stupid ass remedy everyone I knew suggested I try and it turned out I had a chemical imbalance (and depression as an additional result). Doc put me on Paxil for about a year, now I sleep every night. Massive improvement as I'd been only sleeping 3 or 4 nights a week when I finally went to the doc. That was about 5 years ago and I still sleep pretty well. Working shifts and being on call doesn't help much, but whaddaya gonna do? Looking back on it, I probably wouldn't recommend Paxil specifically (made me gain about 50 pounds in two months and the non controlled release verison would knock me out for 8 hours about 20 minutes after taking it), but it might not be a bad idea to stop by the doc and see what he thinks.

Is that Old Tom Morris? The Old Tom Morris? Aye, he designed courses as well. Think he did Warkworth too. Well done btw Geordie Lad. Yeah, I knew he designed courses, didn't know he'd designed the NUFC one. That's pretty awesome!

Looks like a beautiful course from the website. Speaking of "from the website"... Is that Old Tom Morris? The Old Tom Morris?

So homosexuals have sex/relationships with persons of the same sex. Catholic Priests seem to have a penchant for choirboys, so the predator is predating on the same sex, but can't be a homosexual ??? If not, how not. Guardian Article How can sexual abuse of a minor of the same sex as the abuser NOT be homosexual in nature ?? I do accept that to abuse minors you must be "deviant" and not representative of the wider "population". If I molested a little girl, I think very, very few people would consider that heterosexual in nature. Anyhizzle- cunts the lot of them. Dawkins, the Pope, they're the same. Keepers of some kind of flame that they themselves are the ones who decide who is worthy and who is not. Academia and the Church really aren't that different when you boil it down. Well meaning in charter, but somewhere along the way ego plays into it then it all gets fucked. The Catholic Church has massive problems- many of them stemming from this antiquated notion that there are men out there who can live a relatively normal and sane life without ever experiencing some kind of sexual release.

In all honesty, I'm amazed there are still countries out there that don't have the BOMBZ. Its 50 or 60 year old technology. Hell, 30 at least. EDIT: Godammnit, why can't I type T E H BOMBZ? It keeps correcting me... -
Something a little more involved than hooking up your laptop to the internet, which is why some of us are scratching our heads...

Are you kidding me? I'm convinced that you're me from the future and most of your posts are trying to foreshadow events to warn me of impending disaster. It's also probably why you never said anything about the book I PMed you. If you could tell me what to fix in it based on the feedback you've/ I've received from literary agents for the past/ next 20 years, the clouds would part as the sky cracks open and God himself would reach his fucking arm through just to push you/me down, j-j-just to hold you/me down.

I like fisty but he had a hissy fit this week and doesnt love me anymore I would say I have no alliances on here (not sure why you would want them) but tend to find I am the voice of the quiet fan. Often I find my point of view backed up by the lurkers, sensible fans, who are not keen on posting themselves due to the venom that can be quite hard on the less thick skinned. Everynow and again they pop up to re-inforce my position against the dark side. I suppose that means that I have alliances with the silent majority. Having been here a year and a half'ish it is quite clear the types of posters..... There is.... Who can be very funny but also extremely bitchy almost girly. Rather than his alliances I would refer to them more as desciples such as Fish. There ia also the old skool who seem (as referred to by HTT) a bit snobby, hence the lack of more new posters. There is the football manager / gamer posters such as Andrew or Betsy who dont really seem to get dragged into the muck of day to day posting. Tom I assume is stoned all day and only comes out at night with the odd random post. Then there seems to be a bunch of 20 or so regulars who knaw each others nuts off every day. I would definitely have Stevie and Leazes as an alliance. I also suspect some users of more than one user name........ And then theres that angry man from the states who obviously is on death row and only gets 1 hour internet time a week. WHAT THE FUCK'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN??? Thought you were a Newfoundler No, that's Tooner.

The Svengali of punk rock. "Make sure they can't play. Make sure they hate each other." Too right. RIP.

Link This guy that Keith interviews in the first video brings up some good points about our intelligence community. Now, I fully realize that when those in intelligence do their job right, people like me never know they did so, but I have to tell you- based on his opening remarks regarding all the things we've thought we've had good intel on but ended up being a classic fuckup, I really have a hard time even justifying such a far-reaching intelligence community. Of all the events they "missed", I just don't see how they can keep coming back to the trough and asking for more money. I've used this analogy on here before, but I was going off to my boss about how none of our suppliers seem to give a shit about the quality of the parts they send us or if the labeling on the boxes and totes is correct, if the barcodes they tag their components with (that we pay for, obviously) are readable, compliant scans. In an attempt to calm me down, he told me our supplier quality guy had called them and tried to work with them, but just couldn't get them to do their jobs. I asked my boss why in the hell we even bothered having a supplier quality guy then. That's pretty much how I feel about this. When the NSA, CIA, and FBI all collectively fucked up on 9/11 after admitting they had data and watch lists on every single passenger who collaborated to commit that horrible act, allegedly because of some long-standing interoffice feud about not sharing data with their supposed parters in their war or terrorism, and not a single fucking person got fired or otherwise reprimanded as a result, I strongly question the need for them. What would be the alternative? I don't know, maybe relying on our allies for info outside our own country. It's not like we don't already, y'know? Hell, we went to war on the info you lot allegedly gave us. It's not like we're particularly afraid of acting on intel we didn't collect. The other thought I had while watching this is how ironic it is that we observe the international ban on assassination, but apparently are fine with shooting our own people without due process, a trial, etc.

I was a huge baseball fan when I was younger, but the strike in '94 got me out of the habit of following. I'm not mad at it or anything and go to a Cardinals game every couple of years with family or the in-laws, but it's just such a looooong season and the playoffs and World Series are always into October and that being the start of the NHL season, I'm rabid for hockey at that time, not baseball. When I was a little kid, seeing a Cards game was part of the standard "We're going to St. Louis" loadout. Planetarium, mall, Cards game. I remember one of those games (probably around 82-84) somebody got caught with a corked bat. Or at least everyone suspected he had a corked bat. Somebody on the visiting side, no idea who it was now. Remember they stopped the game for like an hour while somebody presumably ran the bat to a local hospital for x-rays. I just remember asking my dad what was going on because everyone was just standing around instead of playing. Was living close to there in '98 when Sosa and McGwire were having their home run contest. I remember telling everyone that I thought it was strange that Maris' record had stood for as long as it had and now there were two guys looking like they'd break it in the same season. Seemed fishy to me at the time...

I understand that the legal case does not stand up and there is precedent to dismiss it. This is from this past Monday- http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE62P52020100329 I guess it boils down to the states that don't want the healthcare bill are trying to say the provision where everyone has to have healthcare or face fines or whatever is unconstitutional, so the whole thing ought to not apply. As for whether or not that's a valid point, I guess that'll be up to the Supreme Court. The Dems say the debate over constitutionality is invalid, the Repubs say it is. Yes. No. Yes. No. Business as usual for American politics, in other words.
