So, as it says, what was your pick of music that was new to you this past year? Doesn’t need to have been released this year, just music that you listened to most this year? My album would be this Instrumental guitar album with a heavy Latino flavour. Sublime. Individual song would be Love it. I’ve spent a fair bit of time picking artists who I have one or two songs of in my lists, and giving their entire catalogue a good listen, and I’ve surprised myself- Mr. Cave being one, Sonic Youth another, Beck was probably the biggest surprise. Well, Avatar 2 was decent actually- better than the first one was the Fist Jnr verdict and I agree with him. Beers, scran and sofa were all pretty good too. Some daft bint knocked my beer over as she was taking her seat, and her chap was straight out to get a replacement, I picked up my bottle and it was 3/4 full still, so, bonus

Going to the Everyman in town to watch this with Fist Jnr. It’s become a bit of a Christmas tradition with me and him, that started with the new Star Wars trilogy, but as there’s no SW this year, he picked the big blue buggers! Rewatched the first one the other day, and aye, thin as feck story etc, but I still looks amazing. I’m almost looking forward it, ( the beers, sofa and scran will pass the time if it’s hoop ).
