See theres rumours abound he might now be out for the season. Article in the Daily Mirror this morning according to NUFC.BLOG http://www.nufcblog.com/2011/02/07/rumor-a...for-the-season/ -
Well on this page alone there's Mac Toon who thinks he's gone off the boil (due to Jonas) and Chezgiven who thinks his form has dipped as well so I think its safe to say that all is not well in the Enrique / Jonas household.

Feels good man. Hope you fucking stick to it this time. Threatened me with it two weeks ago and had me off ignore quicker than you could spell it. And why come into a thread created by someone you have on ignore
-
Lets leave the last word on this to the man himself....

Nice wriggle btw but not good enough. You were singing Enriques attacking praises and his link up play with Jonas and then have the nerve to accuse me of making it up. A big man can admit when he's wrong, shorty.

Basically what I said in the opening post funny you missed it. Couldnt be a bit of forum arse licking now could it? Well what part of his game is disappointing you? The attacking that he used to do that is no longer there disappoints me. With regard to the rest of the OP it was asking a question about whether his game had developed. You mentioned him not sliding in like Barton. Interesting. I've played right back all my life and the first thing you're taught is the last thing to do is gan down on your arse. Why? He's the last line of defence and if he's short they're in on goal. No ones disputing that his strength and pace get him by the majority of the time, but when it doesnt work, Im not sure he has a plan B, a last ditch tackle in him to prevent a goal as with Duff for example. Against Arsenal you will have noticed Simpsons race across the box and last ditch tackle against Walcott. Difference with Barton sliding on his arse being the passages of play are far different in midfield and the space lends itself better to slide tackles. Have you actually ever played football? Please answer this truthfully. A serious and quite important question because the sliding tackle isn't a huge asset to be honest. Far better on your feet to win the ball and make play happen. Not since school however like you I havent ever run the country but it doesnt stop me having an opinion. Im also not disputing that staying on your feets the best option, but you also need a plan b when it doesnt work. Forum arse licking? You're confused man you dipstick, it's because the vast majority disagree with you it comes across as arse licking. Well when you jump right in and slag me off for something that you then go on to agree with......IE the Jonas issue, it makes it look as though you havent even read the OP. He may not be catching your eye as much now but when I watch his play without the ball in the ground and marshalling collo and willo about to hold the line and work as a back 4 you can see the work he does is imperative to the success or failure of the team. He's carried us alot at times last year. Would have been a much better point to come in with as a lot on the forum who only get to see him on the TV, would see much of what he does when the balls elsewhere.

This. Enrique barely got forward in his first season for us where he was inconsistently played by Allardyce. In his second season (though he missed a fair bit due to injury) he also rarely got forward. He always had the pace, strength and defensive ability but rarely used his pace to get forward. The season in the championship helped to encourage him getting forward and improved his ability to beat a man (he's one of the best we have at this, others in the side beat a man by retreating, spinning where-as Enrique shows a little bit of the ball then uses a touch and some pace to pull away towards goal). Not only do you look like a moron for creating this thread Christmas Tree, but you continue to drag yourself further down into full on retardation by trying to fall back on your own bullshit facts that anybody who watched us play knows are just that - bullshit. It's mildly entertaining for just how senseless you are, but this sort of shit won't be tolerated around here for long. Oh Really Well why dont we have a look back at some quotes from our last season in the prem before relegation.... You see, this is how I remember Enrique, dangerous balls into the box, linking up with Jonas on many occassions, hitting in crosses with power and movement..... Im sure you realise that all of these quotes are yours. One of us was trying to have a sensible discussion, the other was jumping in spouting shite for reasons only known to him. Someone once said....."This sort of shit wont be tolerated around here for long". How True.

Horrific even A'knaa - hell's flames - hardly desecrating graves ! ..........."FUZZY-WUZZY WAS A WOMAN ??!!" Here, didn't I tell you? Look at his response (in red text) to Fish. Apparently Jonas is the reason Enrique's form has been on the 'wain.' (It's wane, you plank.) This thread was actually just another slightly more subtle anti-Jonas thread from CT. I said that in the opening post you boring fucking Jonas loving cock sucker of of a twat. Ooop - the beer's kickin in . . Aye, time for bed.

Pardew: Vuckic and LuaLua will get chance
Christmas Tree replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
That's because he's already a permanent fixture of the first team squad having being on the bench for the last 5 or 6 games....... Not to open a can of worms but that's because there's nee fucker else who can play wide left in the squad. Dont disagree and I appreciate he may be a few years off getting a regular start (if good enough), but currently, when Jonas is having an off day, I see no harm in letting the lad be an impact sub as Ranger has been. Youth doesnt have to mean no good. I think as sure as eggs are eggs, Lua Lua will be the permanent left winger next season. I've seen him play for Brighton - if he is our permamnent LW then we will be in trouble Why do you say that? He has had rave reviews for them, they are desperate to sign him and he's scored some screamers apparently. -
I havent said they should.....HOW DO YOU NOT GET THIS???????? I have said that it should be something he can do when his normal tactics fail. I dont see him doing it. Can you comprehend this point? He never has to make sliding tackles though. Attackers love defenders that spend 1/2 the time on their arses. Dabizas was a classic case of this. When he played well he was excellent because he was always sliding around and getting the applause. However, better players would often make him look foolish. Woodgate rarely had to make slide tackles because he read the game so well. Might have helped against Duff.

Well, time to depart this thread and go to the pub. Maybe a few beers will make some your posts in this thread seem less dramatic and more sensible, however I doubt it.

He's finding it tougher? Where is the evidence of that? He's thrived this season, he's up against better quality players in the Premiership so obviously it's a bigger challenge and he's not as able to show as much attacking intent as he did last season. Messi could come from the CCC still be brilliant and find it tougher in the Premiership. The rest of his game is superb, nothing is mentioned of his superb range of passing, short range and long range. I don't think his game has needed to grow at all to get in the Spain team (world champions in case you were unaware). The last left back I saw tackling like Joey Barton was Stuart Pearce, a brilliant player, but another one who received more cards than Robbie Williams does on Valentines Day. Non-sensical point to be honest. I've never seen Ashley Cole tackle like Barton neither. So how exactly is this a sign of him finding it tougher as a result of his deficiencies? Again a poorly thought out paragraph. Read my last sentence again, and apply it here too. Nothing really to add. DEADMAN or Kevin could punch holes in your points tbh. So basically you agree he's finding it tougher, you dont think he needs to improve any of his game. What has Spains world cup winning team got to do with Enrique? Has he even played for the full team yet? I could also point out Torres form using the same argument, but Im sure Deadman or Kevin could do that. Your excuse for his lack of sliding tackling is all over the place. Finally, I didnt say that his lack of attacking was down to "his deficiencies", I said it was probably due to Jonas's form. A point I think you have already agreed with earlier in the thread. Lots of holes and inaccuracies, but dont worry I wont call them horrific. So a pre-requisite of a left back is to dive with sliding tackles every five minutes. Modern footballers are intelligent enough to know that if you commit yourself and it goes wrong you're fucked, you're beaten and you run the risk of giving away free kicks and being booked every time you do it. He stays on his feet, asks questions of the winger, which is why he is rarely beaten. I don't think you've ever played the game have you, or if you have you're reading the Mick Wadsworth guide to defensive play. Again, nobody said that, but it should be in his locker and Im not sure if it is. Might he have taken the ball off Duff for instance if he slid in.

Two points Attacking. I think as others in this thread do, that his attacking this season hasnt been as good as it has in previous seasons. I dont think this is a tactical move by Hughton or Pardew and I do think it is due to the fact that Enriques quite often sees Jonas lose the ball. IMO this has made Enrique more cautious in his link up play with Jonas in the final third. To me, this is contrasted by Simpson on the opposite side who now seems to get forward quite a bit. He doesnt have the same worry of Barton losing posession. Defence. Since he arrived he has had very good qualities in his game, in particular hi trademark sprint, guard, turn and play out of defence. My comments where whether the other parts of his defending had grown / got better. IE Going to ground and getting a tackle in. I still honestly, dont get the problem with discussing this
-
Especially when claiming Enriques in the Spanish world cup winning team

Good man. Heres the OP again. So basically Im saying that IMO it looks as though this season he's finding it tougher, particularly attacking down the wing compared to how he used to. I also question whether his overall game has improved? I precede these remarks by saying "I know he'd done really well" and that his sprinting, guarding and bringing the ball out of defence, are not in question. Cant really see anything "horrific" in this question / discussion. You might think hi tackling has improved or that his positional play has improved or that his passing has improved. You might disagree and think he is attacking better than he ever has for us. These would all be valid points to discuss. Im quite taken aback by the way this thread has gone I might have to have 4 Kronnenburgs tonight instead of the usual 3. Okay, I'll give this a go. Enrique is not on the wain (sic) he's still one of the best performers in the side, more over he's probably one of the best left backs in the country (I'd agree with Stevie's assessment there), Nobody disputed that He's not hamstrung because of Jonas' perceived lack of ability and he is still improving. A few in this thread, including Stevie, think he may be. The reason he's not barrelling down the wing in this league is, quite obviously, it's a much tougher league and comparatively we've gone from being considerably superior in ability and skill to being one of the more average sides. Jonas' losing of the ball aside the whole team is under greater pressure defensively, hence his forward play is obviously going to be curtailed. Both tactically and by the mere fact we don't have the comfort of letting our fullbacks bomb on as much this season. He used to barrel down the league during his previous sixty or so games in the prem. We are playing very attacking football and Simpson is barrelling on down the right. His positional play and range of passing have improved, this is clear as day to see. They were already good, cant say Ive noticed a dramatic improvement. Defending wise Enrique relies a lot on his pace and strength to guard the ball. When that doesnt work I can say I've seen great evidence of him resorting to more traditional methods. EGhis positional play and pace against Duff didnt help. My questions to you are as follows; Why do you you think he is "on the wain(sic)"? Jonas What were you expecting from the team, when competing in a far superior league? Nowhere near the excellent attacking football we've played.

And your like one of those bullies hangers on who was terrified to have his own fight but when there was 20 onto 1 you would rush in from behind the crowd, get a kick in and run away. Another one tut tutting but failing to point out which bit of the op makes "words fail you" Seriously, you're not even worth the bother. I have no doubt that if you spent long enough alone you'd be arguing with yourself. Thought so
