  1. I've never met PP, I've seen him, but never spoke to him, so I don't know if he is a generally negative or positive outlook sort of person. Same as Fish. I'm only going by what they are saying. I think the current setup of the club is as obvious as it can be, and I would love to be positive. A few years ago, I was only one of a small number of people who actually was, remember ? [Don't derail the thread I'm just making the point that I think the club is fucked under the current owner]. The one positive comment I can make is Happy New Year Still a much better club than at the end os Shpeherds time and for that matter a lot better than it was for most of the 70's and 80's
  2. We'll thrash, yes god damn it, thrash Wigan and West Ham, have a very good January window, give the Mackems a very good rodgering and then all the negs can hybernate til May when they start again with the scaremongering baseless rhetoric.
  3. Purely luck though, nothing was to be gained from keeping a player on the pitch who is clearly not in the right frame of mind. At worst he gets sent off, at best he's so careful that he's ineffective. To be honest I think there's a bit of over-reaction to an average performance against what is a very good Spurs side. Everybody was saying we'd lose, before kick off, and now that we have it seems people are appalled that we did. Other than picking Perch, I'm not sure what I would have tried differently in Pardew's shoes? Most of us would have been cautious against such a quick skill full opponent. We probably would have plumped for 4-5-1 or at least had a 4-4-1-1 with Whomever operating behind Carroll sufficiently to be able to help out with the midfield duties. I honestly think we'd still have lost if Jose and Nolan were starting. So I'm not sure where this level of shock is coming from? I also don't think losing away to Spurs is the final nail in our coffin, there's still half the season to play and there's still plenty of "Arsenal Away" and "Blackpool at Home"-s to come. We'll end up 11th-14th and I'm willing to put £20 on that. Spot on. Overall the game plan was working and only fucked up because they had Lennon and Bale and we had Jonas and Routledge. Both goals were good goals. On the day I just tink we mis fired all over the park. While we seemed to have quite bit of posession in the middle, we couldnt do anything with it from there. Hopefully we'll find a new right and left winger in January. Onwards and upwards.
  4. Need a bit more positivity on here lads, it's like Elf when Santa needed Christmas cheer to get the sleigh working. Bit more belief and we'll do it. Just need a scraggy little goal for 3 points. Ranger will come on and score.
  5. Perch like a rock, smith tackle of the match, twice
  6. Well it's either Smith in a 4-4-2 or (more likely) in a 4-5-1. Don't see any positives either way tbh. I dont know. If its 5 in the middle and we can win the midfield battle then theoretically, we have Barton able to spray the ball to Jonas or Routledge to get quick balls in for Carrol. Obviously Jonas is the theory fucker.
  7. Really depends on how the formation is going to line up. Will it be smith playing off Carrol or is this a bold move to play Tiote further forward. hmmmm? Rather have Smith than Guthrie anyway.
  8. wtf Obviously being reading my posts off a few weeks back Please tell me that is not an official lineup announcement - smith and perch? Sure is and today could be THAT day that we never thought we would see.......as Smith scores the winner with a volley from thirty yards.

  10. You not getting mixed up with the thread you originally posted your query in?
  11. Post Mortem shows she was strangled. Sue as eggs are eggs, its going to be someone from the office party she was at. Someone whose whorshipped her from afar and maybe thought his luck was in at the party. A knock back has resulted in this. The chances of just bumping into a strangler at home is really too high to believe.
  12. Aye, they spend all their time searching for their balls. "I know I had them yesterday".
  13. Got the bairn one of those, she keeps asking for a turn
  14. Cant really get a feel for this one. Usually optimistic as anything but dont feel like that today. Hoping their absentees make up for our useless ghost on the left wing. Think Pardew has little choice but to start with Barton in the middle and Ranger upfront. 3-2 to us
  15. The difference is we look like a good side when alls well this year. (ie when suspensions and injuries allow). Once we add a few gems in January we will be flying all the way. Get yer passports ready.

  19. Buuer or Marge on his paws and let hin go. The sooner he gets out there the better. Sure he'll get the odd clip but better than becoming a house cat. Also when he's a few month olds and eyeing up his first bit os skirt, whip in in for the old balls off. You'll feel like a right cunt but he'll be happier and wont get into fights.
