  1. LOTS of snow tonight in Howden. ....and i would just like to say, FUCKIN LOTS OF SNOW!!! Champion! Fuck all tonight in Boldon bearing in mind were just three mile the other side of the tunnel from Howden and North shields.
  2. Really gone down hill on page 13 and 14 's looking dodgy as well. Johnny2j needs to get posting. A reminder of the recent standards that were set .... It is after all the Belta minge thread and not just, the minge thread. And yes I am searching as well.
  3. Sad indeed. My eldest initially though this was a polar bear sitting on the water coming out of a whales blow hole.
  4. Catmag, you shouldnt be in here...........Unless your posting
  5. Just stuck me head out the window to take these. Love how the flash catches all the snowflakes. That Taxis going nowhere this weekend. Sledging and snowmen building tomorrow for me.
  6. Expecting a win, but thinking the snows going to stop the game.
  7. Well round three tonight and the youngest daughter and her partner in crime knocked up....... Loaded cheese and bacon potato skins followed by a Jamie recipe of Chicken filled with tyhme, lemon and parmisan wrapped in parma ham. Served with new potatoes and a cesar salad. followed by somethin called a vicars tart or vicars suprise????. Very nice whatever its called but think it included pimms, strawberries and fresh cream. Followed by baileys irish creams. Another wonderful night with each course seperated by simple but fun party games. IE Celebrity on sticky paper, pass it to the person on the left for them to stick on their forehead then they have to guess who they are by receiving yes or no answers to questions. I was Dolly Parton! (Yeah i know, a right tit) Perfect evening rounded off by a walk down the snowy lane with the wife and dog. Next time.....Its our turn!
  8. Bloody hell. Loads of the white stuff in Boldon tonight. No ones going anywhere this weekend.
  9. As much as page 11 was our 5-1 against the mackems, page 12 was Bolton away. Must do better on page 13.
  10. Family are said to be gutted at the poultry inheritance he left them.
  11. Nice but its wrong Cream first then the jam! If your in Devon, your correct , if your in Cornwall your wrong imo trying to spread jam over cream is a messy business I'm in Devon but I know I'm right anyway! The other way just looks wrong. Had a quick google and even the beebs on my side. http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/4622/cl...d-clotted-cream
  12. I agree up to a point but the thing is the "rich" kids would be starting their working lives with no worries as Daddy will have paid the fees - two people who are academically equal are divided by a burden - as usual passing advantage down the generations. Thats life unfortunately. So ongoing wealth depends not on what you do but what your parents did. It might be life but stop trying to sell it like its a meritocracy - it isn't. First of all, I didnt go to uni so using words that I have to google is uncalled for. Secondly Im not selling anything, I was just stating that its a fact of life and not something you can really do anything about. Better off kids will get better toys.

  14. Right then...... Bernard Mathews has dies today aged 80, The funeral will be held next week at norfolk crematorium, 11am, gasmark 6 for 3 hours
  15. Absofuckinglutely. It's been fashionable to call anyone disagreeing with it a Daily Mail reader but ffs....I'm nearly 40 and only now do I think I'm in a position to bring a kid into the world. What is annoying is that, like a lot of other issues, there's no room for any political debate about it. The comments by the Peer are spot on but even the Tories just dismiss them out of hand. And I don't even think it's because they think the public will disagree, by and large. It's because they want to quell any media shit storm that'll ensue. So instead of talking about it it's brushed under the carpet. TBF the question was raised on question time last night and apart from the Labour lassy jumping all over it, the rest of the panel were saying pretty much the same. What he was saying should be debated, just the words he chose wernt very clever. I agree that its a shame that political correctness has got so bad that other politicians and the media make massive deals over nowt.

  17. Totally agree. It really somehow needs updating so that a decent education is combined with a decent preperation for the choices you need to make pre 18.
  18. As its only paid back after uni and only when a wage of £25,000? is being earned, I cant see how only the rich can afford it. Its not as if we are suddenly jumping from no fees to high fees, it is an increase in fees. A student has to weigh up whether the debt is worth having a job as say a teacher as compared to working in McD's or a call centre etc. The fix as Ive said before is to make the degrees for the skills we need more subsidised and leave the arty farty degrees unsubsidised. This would also cut down on the need for all the "skilled immigrants" all parties keep rattling on about. But as Meezner also pointed out its about realising that vocational training and apprenticeships start to get a similar standing as degrees.
  19. Pretty sick and tired of hearing/reading this sort of thing. Most people who knock media courses probably don't know or understand what goes in them, that or they're against it because it's a relatively new educational subject and does not have the standing of your usual more academic courses. Then you read up about them. There are scarsely any jobs in this industry but it is considered a "cool" degree to do. It is verging on criminally dishonest to get someone wasting years of their life studying for something where the likelyhood of obtaining a job at the end of it is remote. (especially if they want the taxpayer to pay for it). It was all good and well when money was aplenty and work too, for kids to have a jolly old time studying poetry etc etc etc. But really, what is the point of setting stupid targets to cram more and more kids through uni doing stupid courses when their is nothing at the end of it.
