  1. I do rate emre to be honest, I just get annoyed at our ability to take a good player from aboard and utterly destroy them. One of the things that had me excited about big sam coming in is his proben track record of being able to take a foreign player and make him perform by the way hes treated off the pitch If they can sort out Emre and Luque then that should be 2 players who can see a resurgence in their playing careers
  2. You heard it here first folks
  3. Allardyce already stated his absolute priority was to start getting players in to bolster the squad and that backroom staff would be sorted as and when he could. Now he has a brief chance he's lining up the people we need. And he can start pre-season putting some of his ideas and techniques into place before everyone else arrives, he will remember what he used to do at Botlon! Its great if we really are just importing all the key staff from Bolton instead of havign to advertise for all these positions, interview and then maybe end up with people who aren't as good! To be fair, the man is working like a slave
  4. First things first, sort out the back four. Once that's done then we get to the more interesting and exciting tasks of improving our creative edge. As has been said, we cannot attract the big big players simply because, right now, we're not an attractive club to join. If we get into Europe for next season, then I'd expect some more exhilerrating players to get excited about this club. As it stands we're a midtable club, with no european competition, no stable team, in the middle of a transition period and an uncertainty over the style of football we'll be playing. a center back and a fullback or two, then start trying to persuade the Sneijders and Quaresmas of the world. what he said ^^^^ We have all heard of just how shambolic the dressing room is, how we have prima donnas in the team, big sam needs to strengthen the team in the right way so people fight for a place rather than assuming they are automatically gonna get picked and then throwing a hissy fit when they dont I'm still super excited about whats happening at SJP, and its been many many years since I've been able to say that
  5. I too reckon Martins is gone. Can I use a hairdryer to peel the letter off the back of a newcastle top? No reason like Jimbo might be able to tell you. I'm investigating as we speak.... keep me updated man
  6. I too reckon Martins is gone. Can I use a hairdryer to peel the letter off the back of a newcastle top? No reason like
  7. Didnt I read somewhere that his release clause is triggered by us failing to finish in a certain position in the league? if we finish in the top 6 or 7 then I would like to think it would make his release clause null and void To be honest, I can fully see where the little man is coming from and I cant blame him, still I'd rather have a fit and healthy Owen playing for newcastle than most other strikers in the league as he is a proven goal scorer I'd like to think Big Al has heard a word in his shell like and told him to stick round as he WILL be loved by the masses if he performs
  8. [Martins9shirt]Speak for yourself[/martins9shirt] I made that blunder
  9. my understanding is thus Barton feels hes owed £300k as a loyalty bonus because he didnt request a transfer City are saying that by barton asking for permission to speak to newcastle after city had accepted the £5.5mill offer that barton had effectively asked for a transfer This is just down to interpretation of contracts (and I've not read bartons contract) but it certanly seems disingenuous of city in my mind
  10. so what hes basically saying is, "if you dont all sell up the clubs getting nowt"
  11. Dyer is a far better footballer than Milner will ever be. Really dont think either are up to it at Newcastle but Dyer will probably go somewere and get his career going again. There is a reason for him being so highly rated by managers who have succeeded in the game. Dyer is better at picking the ball up and running with it quite fast but Milner is more effective. Nowhere near it tbh Dyer is a very good footballer who gets on many peoples tits. His comeback and its effect on the team proved that. His performances when we finished 4th and 3rd tend to confirm it too. Milner isnt in the same league. Pretty on the ball but crossing is appalling and despite being 17 years his senior I still think I'd give him 5 yards head start over 10. Nice lad but it gets on my tits when people mention him a someone who is going to come good. He is a young lad with limited ability. One of the key components for the his position(s) in the premiership, sadly for him, is pace. That will always hold him back. Viduka will be fine with the decent players around him. We need some pace and strength in that midfield from somewhere though. Milner was one of our best players this season and one of Villas last season, turned 21 this year!! Much better than Dyer imo. he is fucking slow like
  12. Billionaire's usually aren't, ruthless, evil bastards - yes, idiots - no Sooner the better for me Quoted for the truth
  13. remember that a fortnight before the ashely takeover was announced there was rumours flying round that something was in the pipeline because of unusual buying on the stockmarket now that coupled with the swoop for the 41% from hall and I would think hes gonna be over 50% anyway, I also think thats why FFS is so gutted and his comments about being stabbed in the back, he knows hes fired of course it could all be unrelated but I dont think this guy is an idiot
  14. just been listening on SSN £8.5m? I'd bite their fucking arm off aswell
  15. Good point, although I still feel he owes us a good season, it would be more wasteful to lose him on a free than to cash in on him early and use the money to rebuild with players that actually want to play for us. He'd be a great asset when it comes to attracting top-class players though, like Shearer was. even when they know hes only discharging a debt of honour and will be out the door come the end of the season?
  16. 4 weeks ago.. still, hes on our payroll now, time to get his arse in gear. although I doubt theres fuck all he could do like, I assume most of the players have gone, he cant really start any serious negotiations whilst the takeover is still in the sky
  17. Fuck off man this is business, not the play ground
  18. that's possible, but I'd assume Ferguson is looking to replace Scholes in the center and have a ---------------------Rooney---Berbatov Ronaldo/LW-----Carrick----Hargreaves----Ronaldo/Richardson Torres would NEVER move to a club outside of europe, despite our new cash influx. Eto'o I can't see coming to any English club that doesn't have a pompous Portugese Arse at the helm Baptista hasn't really impressed me thus far. I assume you're talking about 3 seasons time or so? If that is the case, I'd hope for ManU fans sanity, Richardson would be long flogged! that Rooney/Berbatov lineup is a thing of beauty, I'm not Carricks biggest fan but I have always rated Hargreaves
  19. Fucking nicking off fellow fans. Tramps. Andy Townsend mentioned something similar earlier this afternoon. A group of scallies mugging their fellow supporters outside the airport and stealing their tickets. Shameful. Heard something similar on Five Live this morning, but the bloke wasn't really clear whether it was Scousers or just randoms. Did it say if they where wearing shell suits?
  20. That's what I was thinking, it really is that simple, isn't it? Surely Shepherd hasn't got a leg to stand on if Ashley gets to 50% + 1, which he will do. absolutely, once he has 51% he can do what he likes and no one can stop him He can't take the club private which is will most likely be his ultimate aim. fair comment

  22. FFS is saying hes got to pay alot more than 50m for the rest is correct. Ashley will infact have to pay 75m for the rest (give or take a few hundred tho) On the plus side if Ashley has 41% FFS has 30% and the remaining shares are dvided up by banks, charaties and normal punters then Ashley whilst he doesnt have a controlling majority does become majority shareholder it would mean that whilst he cant force decisions through he can and will have a large sway on those decisions He could table a decision to sack FFS and (assuming he gets 10% of votes to agree with him) then FFS is gone and that my friends would be a happy day
  23. yes I do, hes only young (depending on who you believe) and with a decent coach and working alongside own (should he stay) I think martin could become world class as has been said already, his goals have effectively kept us up this season and we have had an absolute fucking shocker hopefully we can keep him and he will grow into the striker alot of us want (and I trust him more than I trust fucking owen, who is gonna do one at the first possible chance) oh and I bought a new shirt with his name on the back
