something we all need to realise is that this is the first manager we have had in years where the board haven't interfered in the transfer selections of the manager. good thing is he's addressing the weak points first and then will probably have the budget to sort out extra players that hopefully can make the difference, between being mediocre or being a top 5/top 6 club. shame sir Bobby Robson wasn't allowed this priviledge.

one mans opinion.... however patrokles is right. some of eno's stuff was genius, some less so. YMO (and ryuchi sakamoto in particular) were great at what they did. tangerine dream came out with some brilliant stuff, and some less popular stuff as well. we could even go back to wendy/walter/ whatever it is carlos and the switched on bach series of albums. ... have to say the golden age of electronic music (IMHO) was 1989-94. it is still however very good of course but there were so many very good albums from that time that i still have and listen to. oh and FSOL lifeforms is in my top 10 all time favourites. i'd go as far as saying its a masterpiece.

all 3 are different types of players, carricks a deep lying playmaker, hargreaves is a holding midfielder. lampard is a goal scoring midfielder.... lampard is the best in terms of talent but would need one of the other 2 to play alongside him to ensure he was effective...

geremi will be an asset. better than carr at right back and can play in midfield.

been out in one, they are a good car. the 170bhp version that is. leaves most cars standing between 50 and 80mph because of the wall of torque!

cocteau twins are really rather weird but all the better for it. surpirised no one's mentioned kraftwerk as well. tour de france is even now one of my favourit ever tracks simply because of the one synth line that just can't leave my head (you'd know it if you played it!)

worth looking into Alex. me i'm a massive fan of ska, reggae, roots and dub. especially dub. king tubby, scientist, lee scratch perry and augustus pablo are my favourites right now. stick to the trojan releases and you can't go far wrong. they do a great compilation set for each sub genre. also david rodigan (RIP) released a fantastic starter set (as i'd call it) of cd's some time ago. can't remember what its calle dbut it is very very good.

the latest album by mr schnauss is very very good. trouble is he thinks he's in my bloody valentine or chapterhouse for some of the tracks. the title track is definitely one of the best electronica tracks i've ever heard.
