despite my problem with beckham earlier this year he has been (alongside van nistelrooy) madrids best player this season for me. his work ethic doesn't make up for his lack of outright speed in some circumstances but his delivery is excellent still. that team of madrids though has major flaws. they were lucky to win the title.

this thread really has divided opinion. i personally don't think we'll get baines and don't rate him. just my $0.02

seconded, for all his alleged ability all i see is an average centreback who thinks he's franco baresi when he's not. at the moment he's one of the best centre backs we have but that is not saying much at all.

best league in the world? not sure about that. though some of the football played there is nice to watch.

the lad is a machine, really. he makes very few,if any mistakes and reminds me of valentio rossi on motorbikes. rossi is known as the doctor because he's always working out how to make his bike go quicker and often goes beyond its limits! this lad is similair in the way he works, always pushing to get faster and faster. realistically even the greats haven't had starting seasons like this guy. if he has the car in the future i can see this guy doing better than most of the so called greats.

good news if true. shame ben haim didn't come in though, reckon he would have made a big difference.

the yaks a good player and does score a lot of goals but is very inconsistent(IMHO)

not suited to the premier league based on those stats. as holden(?) says, we need defenders first and attackers second.....

in real world money he's a striker capable of getting you 20 goals a season if fit and given good service.nowadays that is worth 15 million plus. i think if viduka and owen work together well then we could have 2 15 goal a season strikers playing for us (interesting fact owen has never scored more than 18 league goals in any premiership season!)

depends on your location to the nearest exchange and amount of people attached to that exchange. also the website you are downloading from might have a narrow bandwidth.... thus restricting speeds.

ewerk, pretty much word for word thats exactly what i'd put. 60k a week for 15 games a season... not bad.

whats the fuss, i don't see us finishing in the top 8 with the squad we currently have. its paper thin, we haven't any decent cover in any positions at all.... however if reinforced i'd reckon we could push for a uefa cup spot.

like a lot of things its just talk.... we need our back line sorting out by pre-season so they can actually play together. ben haim is a better player than boulahrouz but is 3rd choice at best at centre back.

when i worked in a shop when i was a lad, i served Maria whittaker and she bought a couple of light fittings. she was absolutley tiny but absolutely stunning. not really a claim to fame at all but ho hum!

different player to owen 9as he primarily plays wider that st mick of owen... and really would rather we didn't take him if we were playing 4-4-2. he is a very good player in the bolton 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation however.
