looking at wh we've brought in, all of the palyers we've got in are (except rozenhal and viduka ) capable of filling more than one role, barton can play wide and central midfield, geremi can play rightback / centre mid/wide mid. maybe having a squad of more flexible players might be of benefit....

yep, technique wise he was (when i saw him) often the best player on the pitch when he played for chelscum... could play attacking midfield, second striker or centre forward, and exceptionally well as well... only his love of booze and pies have stopped him being world class. that and a prattish father for an agent...

as an outsider looking in and knowing who run the club previously i'd have defo run over the clubs equity / assets and all other aspects of their finances with a fine toothed combe(or some decent accountants), its a given in modern business circles nowadays.
