The White Stripes and The Strokes have been around for a good while now, Arctic Monkeys are gonna be huge. I'm not so sure about the Kaiser Chiefs and Franz Ferdinand, but the latter's recent album shows that they're certainly not slowing down. Ordinary Boys are just living off BB hype tbh. Less Than Jake have settled into a nice little niche (teen 'punk') so it's not surprising they sell out venues. Good for them. They'll never generate the kind of excitement the above bands do though.

I run about 5 miles two or three times a week at the moment.

It's become increasingly popular, which I think is unfortunate. Grounds have more character if they're given a proper name. If it must be done though I hope other teams follow Southampton's lead - it may be the "Friend's Provident St Mary's Stadium" but everyone (including, crucially, the media) just calls it St Mary's. Are they doing a similar thing with Arsenal? i.e. the Emerates Ashburton Grove stadium? I hope so.

I'm gonna do the Leeds Half Marathon on May the 7th. It's 13 miles, which I think is achievable considering I run about that much in a week (although not all at once). Problem is I'm a bit unsure how to build it up, how often to go for practice runs etc etc. Has anyone done a half marathon before? Any tips? Would appreciate any advice, ta.
