Carrying on paying a player £70K a week is just a recipe for disaster, we've not the revenue to cover it. Stan Collymore said something I actually agreed with today. Recons Owen should sign up for another year at 20% of his previous wage and pay back the club for the money it invested in him. Somehow I don't think Owen see's it that way.

We've known for a couple of seasons now our squad wasn't good enough. Shearer could only use what he had available, it's madness to portion any blame in his direction.

I think it'll all depends if there are signs of change during the summer and whether Shearer is still on board. Regardless of what league we're in, most just want to see 11 players committed to the black and white. So if the fans see that MA is backing Shearer I can't see too much changing with regards attendance.

I think we just appreciated that he did the basics well as he's the only one.

You know what......we're going to be safe. Hull WILL loose to Man U lets face it they've been playing awful of late and Fergie could do without the enquire afterwards so he'll make sure the 11 on the field give their all. As for Villa, they leak goals so I think we'll pick up the draw we need to stay up.
