Now he's £39Mil richer he can afford to work for free - all he cares about is getting back in the England team.
  7. If only Ashley had sold when the Arabs came calling last year.
  8. Got to admit I didn't realise things were that bad. Not looking good. I think administration is a real prospect.
  9. For a second there I thought Wise was coming back.......

  11. http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/3599...forced-out.html ALAN CURBISHLEY is being lined up to become Newcastle boss. Toon owner Mike Ashley is trying to sell the club but he is making contingency plans should a quick sale not materialise. Curbishley has been sounded out and, despite the chaos that surrounds the club, he would be willing to move up to the North East. Alan Shearer remains in charge of team matters but the situation is becoming increasingly complicated as his relationship with Ashley has become so strained. Seymour Pierce, the brokers handling the sale, have received a formal bid from an international consortium with no links to the North East. The American group tabled a bid of around £100million on Friday after Barclays did the paperwork on a working overdraft of £25m to ensure the club can keep going in the short-term. "A deal is nearly done, it's very close," said a source. "It could be announced as early as Tuesday or Wednesday next week." Ashley believes he can get a better deal if Newcastle have a manager in place for the massive rebuilding job needed to help the club secure immediate promotion. And Curbishley, 51, was the master of that type of management in 16 years at Charlton. He turned them from a club who did not even have a ground into a consistent Premier League force. And since he left they have slid down into League Two. Curbs also steered West Ham away from relegation but, after a mid-table finish, he fell out with the fans and the board and left Upton Park last September, claiming constructive dismissal. 12. We still don't know if we'll have a club to watch next season. It wouldn't surprise me if Ashley let us go to administration. There is not much else he can do to hurt us.
  13. That beggar's belief. Just when you think things couldn't get any lower.
  14. That man ripped our team apart.
  15. If Ashley doesn't sort out a Manager ASAP and given them money to spend this may not be the only relegation we're going to suffer this decade.
  16. The £100Mil was 'loaned' to the club, it wasn't money invested. So I'll be surprised if he'd just 'write' it off. Can't see it myself.
  17. As if MA couldn't make matters worse.......this could resign us to League One. He clearly doesn't want to spend a cent and I can't see anyone buying us anytime soon. This is not good.
  18. Shame it's not this fella......he's minted. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...uth/8070535.stm Looks like Portsmouth have hit the jackpot.
  19. Lets hope he's learnt from his mistakes. Maybe this could be the making of the man.
  20. http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsD...1667147,00.html Good on you Habib. Bar Taylor the only other player that really cares about the club. The guy loves Newcastle United.
