  2. I dont like the heat, I much prefer Autumn and Winter.
  3. Sorry. I dont know why but one posted twice. And if I try to reply to different comments from people in one post like you lot do, I muddle the quotes up
  4. Yes i consider myself well told off by Craig!
  5. Craig. I do realise buying a parking ticket for a car park does not give you the right to park on double yellows outside! But the whole point was we bought the ticket in good faith, then couldnt use it to park in the car park. It was not clearly displayed that it was locked at 8pm....which the letter I got back today stated was the reason they had decided to cancel the ticket this time. As regards to the appeal process, it says on the back of the ticket that when you appeal you will normally be given the 14 day half price charge again should your appeal fail. When it got close to the 14 days and I hadnt heard back from them I rang their office just to make sure they'd received my appeal and was assured it was being dealt with and the charge was put on hold and I would definitely be offered the 14 day offer if the charge was upheld. Its definitely well worth checking. But like you say they could have upheld the ticket in the end so I guess someone there had a heart that day! Or (and more likely) my excellent letter writing (grovelling) did the trick! I once got hubby off jury service too! Everyone said it wasnt even worth trying but I did it.
  6. Wooo Hoo!!! I did it!!! Parking fine cancelled
  7. The Underworld trilogy DVDs set. Good price £16
  8. Whereas rude impolite elderly people annoy me (just the same as any age) just sometimes its worth remembering we all get old! Some genuinely can't help being slow!
  9. Me too. At race meetings I take the piccys and record the racing. But my son had the in car camera on just before a race, so when we played it back I watched myself I just didnt like myself at all...even my mannerisms annoyed me!!! I have seen a pic of you now, you shouldn't be annoyed Thank you Eerr are you on my facebook then? Or just the toontastic group? (Sorry, I've got a few of you on my contacts now and its confusing working out who's who)!
  10. Get real, I'd be happy to just stay up!
  11. I'd imagine it's as long as they stay in the conference. I can't see them getting promoted for a while, there are a lot of much much bigger (and better) teams in the conference and the step up to League Two is massive. My point is I can't imagine they'd talk about this now if it was a plan for League ascension. Very true, Torquay were there 2 seasons and I think we all felt if we didnt do it this time we'd be stuck down there forever! At least two clubs go up now, but still its a nightmare.
  12. But the greyhound stadium at Plough Lane? (it runs around the racetrack) Thats where we've raced many times, run by Spedeworth. Surely they dont mean to get rid of Wimbledon stadium? It was always one of my favourite tracks to race as it was such a different atmosphere watching indoors. Dont think the National Hot Rods race there now but theres certainly still racing going on. http://www.spedeworth.co.uk/raceways/wimbledon.htm

  14. ...you were someone else? (in particular) Or anyone else but you? Sometimes I get so annoyed or so bored with myself that I wish, just for a short time I had someone elses life. I saw myself on Video recently and pissed myself off!!!!
  15. and if you point to one post who says that he is a Messiah I'll happily apologise on their behalf. If you cannot see the position of power that Shearer is currently in, you're either blind or stupid. Of course I can see his position of power but I seriously doubt the first thing he's doing with it is demanding an apology on behalf of the fans. He'll be securing funds and control and no doubt sorting out a healthy pay packed. And I never said anyone has called him the messiah but your all putting him on a massive pedestal and it's just amunition to people to like to take the piss out of us. To be honest it strikes me as something that Alan Shearer would have said. It wouldn't have been "right you fat bastard, get out there and grovel like a discovered adulterer" more likely "I think the first thing is there needs to be an apology to the fans, they're the ones who've been let down." I can hear him saying it tbh.
  16. because it came from mike ashley maybe?? Maybe I should have worded that better, I'm suspicious about the timing of the statement.
  17. Why do I feel suspicious about this statement?
